Digital Editions

Hi, I recently downloaded ADE after not using if for sometime. I have discovered that I cannot transfer books I have downloaded from Libby to ADE because the ADE still has my old Adobe ID and password. I updated my Adobe ID and password last year. Howeve it did not update my ADE account. To deauthorize the ADE account I need my old password which I no longer remember. I have tried "Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash." When I do this their is no Digital Editions in my Application Support/Adobe. How do I deauthorize my ADE account from my old email address and old password? 

I have ADE accounts on both my laptop and my Android tablet. Now I cannot download books on the tablet, although the download opens in ADE, but showing no new books. Is there a fix to this? Moreover, is there a way to merge the different accounts or to make them "communicate" somehow? Thanks...

 Hello I am unable to open an e-book i purchased on the Adobe Digital Editions app for Android. I get the following message: error getting license. License server communication problem e_adept_xml_syntax. Can anyone help?Thank you.

I have no issues downloading from the library site to Adobe Digital Editions however, when I attempt to transfer the book from the Adobe digital Editions site to my Kobo this message pops up.  CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED - No permission to copy the book.  Anyone know what to do?  I've deauthorized and reauthorized a few times already but it hasn't made a difference.  I have tried downloading the newest version but it was the same one I already am using.  Adobe Digital Editions, it would be very helpful to have a contact number to talk to someone and work through the problem.  I've posted on here previously but didn't get any response. 

I have a new Asus Zenbook Duo and have installed ADE 4.5.11. But it does not work properly. When I start to read a book it opens the first page and then does not change pages any more (but the counter changes).So I have to exit reading, then start reading from the new page and read only this one page, then exit reading ...Interestingly, reading books on old ASUS Transformers with ADE 4.5.10 works.  

Hello, I changed my computer and the library automatically downloaded when downloaded the Adobe Digital Edition app. I entered my ID and password as usual. When I want to read the book, I have the following issues:- The ID I used is not authorized- By chance, I tried an old email address and it tells me I need to reset my password. The email address is not accessible as it was hacked 3 years ago. How can I read my books under the ID to which I have access. I have all the purchasing proofs. Regards,Lise

Hi, I'm trying to use ADE with Borrowbox to borrow ebooks from my local library. I'm having all sorts of issues, most of which I've worked around but the biggest is that my Adobe account shows 'No activated Devices' even though I have 2 currently active and authorised.  I've activated and de-activated both devices but they never show in my account and I cannot sync them (laptop and ereader). Is this an Adobe server problem? How can I get them to show on my account so I can manage them?Thanks.

ahora desde lacasa del libro ,en el enlace que te dan cuando compras un libro ,te dan la opcion de descargar desde adobe y copia el enlace pero no se descarga directamente como antes ,,no se donde se copia el enlace y no se como descargarmelo

Hello, after several years of successfully using ADE to manage my puschased eBooks (ACSM format and others) (to then transfer them to my KOBO eReader).All of a sudden I get the E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TOO_SHORT error when trying to load ASCM eBooks to ADE.I have re-installed several times (v 3 & v 4.5), re-authorised (both in v4.5 or by deleting the ADEPT key from the registry and reauthorising) but so far nothing helps.I have made no other changes to the PC I use, so no clue if it would be linked to anything else.I'm purchasing the eBooks online using a Chrome browser.Please help !!

Hi. I bought an online book some time ago that can only be read in Adobe Digital Editions app. At that time, I signed in the app and had access to it with no problem. Now I reseted my computer and had to sign in the app again and its not working, the app says that the account I am trying to sing in has not purshed that book. Do I have a different account in Adobe that I dont know about? Or is this a technical problem? I need some help. I just bought a book online and it's in ACSM format. Then I downloaded Adobe Digital editions but for the first time loading the book, I didn't relate it to my ID. Then I realized that I actually have an ID, so I logged in my ID but the book is impossible to load anymore. It says that I need autorization to read it. If I redrop the book, it says  E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER. But the first time I load it, I didn't relate it to any ID so I have no idea how to load the book anymore. I'm eager to know how to solve this!

Having just reinstalled  ADE , removed the ADEPT key and restarted ADE and  re authorized  my computer, it still will not open ACSM files. The error states ... Error getting licence, Licence server Communication problem. E_UC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER.Can this problem be fixed please?  Thank you

After downloading books from ADE to my device the book covers are blank.  This happens with both purchased books and library books.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything, twice.  I have contacted the device manufacturer (Pocketbook) and the library, they both tell me it is a problem with ADE.  I have read that installing an older edition, 3.0 may fix the problem, but when I do that I recieve a message that the software is to old to run on my new imac. I have contacted ADE and they told me that the software is end of life and has limited support.  WTH?  Clicking blank cover after clank cover trying to find my book is maddening.

I am unable to scroll thru any of my scholl pdfs and tech support knows nothing about how to fix this, does anyone here?

Most of my books were purchased and authorised with one Adobe ID. I have updated the software and it is registered to my ID that I use with Adobe Cloud. I need to authorise my Kobo reader but when I try to do so it states that it cannot because the IDs on computer and Kobo need to be the same. How can I overcome this?

I get the following message when I try to open a book on the Kobo tablet after transferring from ADE version 4.5.11.187303: "Your eReader is not authorized to open this book This book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Having previously de-authorized your eReader, you must re-import it using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)." However, my e-reader is correctly authorized in ADE. With the same Adobe ID on the PC (Windows 10) and on the e-reader. The book appears well on the e-reader but it is impossible to open it. Thanks to Adobe for responding and solve this issue.This error prevents me from being able to read borrowed books on the e-reader.

Just newly installed Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11.187606 ion my Mac OS 10.14.6.When I try to authorize I get Activation Server error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICDE_KEY. Just checked my Adobe ID and Password to log on to my online account: no issues.

I can download my book and open it but then it freezes?    What can I do?    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE.     Thanks!

Solicité ayuda en ADOBE y me dieron este link, porque cómo es una aplicación gratuita ellos no podían asesorarme. Agradezco por favor si me pueden colaborar  

So I've recently had a strange problem when borrowing books from Archive.org/the Open Library--I've already asked them, BTW, and the problem doesn't seem to be on their end. In that whenever I download a book as a PDF, the images become horribly compressed and pixellated and the text as well, and there's no way I've found to get around the situation. Here's an example on a book I was reading a while ago (a book on Old Hollywood child actors, very lavishly illustrated, so the compression problem was really annoying). This is what the image looks like in my browser, and the data they actually send out from Archive.org when you borrow the book:And this is what it looks like when I read the downloaded PDF that's come to me through ADE:I asked a guy over at Archive.org and he gave me screenshots of when he downloaded one of their books to read on ADE, and he didn't have the same problem--the pages looked fine and the images weren't overly compressed. So it's not the data they're sending, bu
