Digital Editions

I have a PC and a Macbook. I installed Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) in both and downloaded a book from google (https://books.google.com/books/about/All_of_Programming.html?id=-zViCgAAQBAJ) onto both machines. I first added the book to the PC in ADE without an Adobe ID and was able to see the book  on the PC. Then I tried to get the book on my mac but got the error in the title of this post: Unable to downloadError getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHEDTo try to solve this, I tried deauthorizing the PC but that didn't help me get the book on my macbook, and now the PC ADE gets the error message as well!So I can't see the book in any platform of ADE. All I want to do is be able to access the book offline (because google play books doesn't have any way to do this in their chrome app). But I haven't been able to do it at all with ADE. Any help is appreciated.

Digital Editions is the worst piece of software I have used in a long time. Why can't I navigate with the arrow keys? Oh maybe I'll just read a PDF version of this book instead, jk won't open in Acrobat. Maybe I can change the settings and make reading from my laptop less awful? Nope no options here. Ok ok how about zoom, surely I can zoom in while reading on my phone. Yes! I can and then I have to click "exit zoom" before I can go to the next page, else the text is too small to see. I spend as much time scrolling between pages as it takes to read each page. Are you proud of this product Adobe? 

How i can authotize, from my digital editions in computer to my ebook, because i forget my password, but in m computer digital editions is open and wortable 

I'm having issues downloading library books onto my nook using adobe digital editions. I've tried two different nooks and multiple books. The book opens fine in adobe digital editions but won't open on either nook. At first, I was getting an error message saying I was trying to open a book that had already been returned (I wasn't, I tried this on multiple different books that I'd just downloaded). I de-authorized and re-authorized Adobe Digital Editions but I'm still getting an error message when I try to open the book on my nook only now it says "User Not Activated". I was using everything just fine a couple months ago so not sure why it's not working all of a sudden.

I got this error message: E_ACT_NOT_READYwhen trying to download an epub to digital editions. I have tried erasing my authorization but after I enter my username and password it says: Unable to erase Authorization. Please try after some time.Then I opened the digital editions folder on my mac and was looking for the activation.dat file to move to trash but it wasn't there. Any input would be extremely helpful! Thanks.

Hello, does anyone know what is the Vendor Login ID for Cloud Library? Thank you!

I have an Adobe ID and I can use it to log on my account online, but I have been trying to authorize my Adobe Digital editions with that ID and cannot do so. I downloaded this Adobe Digital Editions software from online library.

how install Adobe digital Editions on my OS Linux Ubuntu (I red only download for Mac and Windows)?

Just tried to authorize my computer, which it says to do so I can"easily transfer Adobe DRM protected items between multiple computers and mobile devices."After entering my Adobe ID and password then clicking authorize I received the message"You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile device." WHAT THE HECK! Is it me or are those two quotes diametrically opposed? How can I transfer between multiple devices if I can only authorize one? I did try Adobe support and was informed that ADE is an end of life product that they no longer support.(Screenshot attached.)

I try to download my ebooks on my laptop but receive the onscreen message, Error getting license, License server commucication problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN. Please help?

I downloaded Digital Editions but it won't let me get an Adobe ID which I need for my reader.

Chat support is unwilling/incapable of help, so they directed me here. Please reset my activation count, so that I may activate my reader on my new device. Thank you.

Is there a way to advance my reading position better than what I've tried so far?  What I've tried so far is kind of a joke for a reading application. I can scroll down the page, which is very slow, I can use the arrow key to scroll but only one line at a time and it beeps every time, or I can use the fn/arrow up or down keys to sort of advance a page, except usually it goes too far and then I have to scroll up. So far it's really a terrible reading experience, but not everybody must find that? ADE 4.5.11 on Mac Catalina 10.15.16

In one of my ebooks on ADE (Beginning HTML5 and CSS 3 for Dummies)...the pages start from the table of contents, then jumps to chapter 7 (page 97), goes in order to page 214, then jumps back to the introduction (page 1) to page 6, then jumps to chapter 14 (page 217) to page 332, then jumps back to chapter 1 (pages 9 to 24), then jumps to chapter 23 (pages 333-342), then jumps to Part VI, then to the Appendices, then to the Index, then About the Authors, then to Chapters 2 through 6 at the end. Is there a way of reloading the book in ADE so that the pages are in the correct order?

When trying to opening the book (I've got 1) in my library, the cursor goes into spinning mode and (Not responding) shows on the top line for ADE. When double clicking the .acsm file, I get the error message "Digital Editions could not connect to the fulfillment server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet". I have 2 accounts on Adobe, and the ebook is purchased with the old one, which I am using on ADE. When comparing computer authorizatio info and licencee on the book, it looks identical. I have de- and re-authorized the computer, and restarted computer, multiple times. Any other tips? 

I am trying to download a book that I have on my desktop adobe digital editions to my phone app. I originally got the following error: error getting license license server communication problem. Then I deauthorized my app, deleted the app and redownloaded it and signed inI am now getting the error: connection error detected - digital editions could not connect to the fulfillment server.

recently i formatted my device with an ssd . ahter that my adobe digital edition was unstalled.when i again download adobe digital edition i lost all my ebooks and the device is not authorized from day 1.i downloaded the books without an authorization.my goal is to get my books back which i have downloaded and kindly link this new account with the ebooks that i have downloaded.                                                                     thank you 

When I download a document that is supposed to be compatible with Adobe Digital Editors 4.5.11, it is in the wrong format. My choices are PDF or the Adobe Digital Editors "installment" software. How do I change the “properties” of the document so that I can read it while using this software?

I'm looking for instructions in German on how to download and save an eBook that I purchased from Google Play to Adobe Digital Editions.

I cannot seem to get a copy of Hotel Angeline on my computer even though I opened Adobe Digital Editons on my computer.  Can someone steer me in the right direction? 

Can be Ebook publishers  an ebook vendor in Adobe Digital Edition. In other words, "PHI Learning" name can also be in the drop down menu when Adobe Digital Edition asks to authorize it and the option to choose an ebook vendor is shown. I am an Ebook publisher. So I want to add an eBook Vendor name in Adobe Digital Edition dropdown like "PHI Learning". What is the process to add an eBook Vendor in a dropdown from Adobe Digital Edition.Please help and suggest any process for adding eBook Vendor in dropdown. 

I bought an ebook. i authorzied my compuer by mistake, i chosen "choose to authorize without an ID". later and later i tried to open on another, but i got license issue. i de-authorized the computer, i tired to connect with my adobe ID but the book is unreadable. Still asking authorisation.The book became unreadable.I realy have no idea of how digital right works. I need support.How to open this book using my ID
