Digital Editions

How can the same Adobe ID be used to authorise a different computer?  When trying to do so (after de-authorising the original computer) I get the message "You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices."I can authorise the new computer with a newly created Adobe ID, but when books borrowed through the ADE on the new computer are transferred to my Sony T1 reader its Adobe ID is changed, and books borrowed using the original Adobe have a Digital Right Management error.The overall question is:  How can one borrow books through ADE on different computers and read them on the same ereader?

I  would like to see in the Item Info a description of the contents of the ebook like they have in Calabre. It is often a part of the metadata files I often forget why I downloaded the book in the first place because I don't remember  what the book is supposed to be about. I would help to know this so that I can catagorize the book.

Hi,I bought epubs on Thalia and want to put them on my Kobo. I have a new PC and installed ADE. When I want to autorize my PC and enter my Adobe-ID and password, I get an error saying "ID or password is wrong for the ebook-provider. Try again"The Data works fine for Adobe.com and I can log into my account there. The email was changed recently, but logging in with the old email does produce the same error. I tried password reset for the old email and never received an email for my request. How can I read my books? Is there another way to download and convert acsm-files? I just want the ebpubs.  

Hi. I can't verify digital edition on my Mac. i had ADE for a year ago, and then unistalled it. Now when i try to verify vers. 4.5 it says it can't connect to the server. I should check my connection. It's nothing wrong. I checked at your site if i am connected to the server, and i am, i can see the two Adobe icons at the page. so, what is wrong??best regards Leif Sörensen 

This application has to one of the worst applications I have ever used in my entire life. Thhe time it takes me to scroll from one end of a document to the other, I could of ended world hunger, created peace in our time, and found the cure to cancer. This is a absolutely positively trash application, I regret ever downloading this appliccation and I would of rathered to taken the F on my enviiormental ethics class the to have wasted my time trying to use the infiinitely frustrating and useless application. Grow up

Hello, j'ai un PC avec Windows 10, j'ai téléchargé ADE pour pouvoir transférer les livres achetés sur ma liseuse KOBO, j'ai du recommencer le Set Up à chaque plantage de la liseuse, après une nouvelle ré-connection, j'ai essayé de transférer les livres mais impossible, le message dit "nombre maximal de machines autorisées par ID atteint", je n'ai que l'ordi et la liseuse... Je ne sais plus quoi faire, quelqu'un peut-il m'aider ?

Hello, I am trying to print files from Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) 4.5 on my Mac computer but the "Print" menu item is greyed-out on all pdfs I open in ADE. I've checked the file permissions on all my files in the ADE library and the file permissions for all my files indicate I can print on any device. I even tried printing the "Getting Started with ADE 4.5" document and the "Print" menu item is greyed-out.  I have authorized my ADE software via the help menu. Has anyone else had this issue? Cris

For five years I have found it impossible to open books in ADE. For the last four I have done my best to never buy one in that format. Now an academic publisher only makes ebooks available this way. I have followed the de-authorize, close, delete Library file, re-open, re-authorize instructions 20 times... I still get this error.  Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_OPEN_ERROR This is a major publisher and the book was purchased from ebooks dot com where my log in is through the same email as my Adobe ID.Five years. I would need to authorized the Kobo Glo HD device for ADE through WIFI (since it is not recognized via USB). Is there any possibility to implement this authorization? My Kobo Glo HD isn´t recognized through USB by any PC anymore (after two years and a half of being bought). I did not authorize it previously for ADE (I did not know it was necessary). By now, I found a way to sideload non-Kobo books to it via WIFI, but I miss the possibility of reading books from public libraries.  

Oper system Windows 10 ver 1909Browser Google ChromeDownloaded a book in ACSM file format from KOBO Canada. Went to the folder of the download using Win10 File Explorer (Win10FE) could not see the file? Eventually went to Chrome/download/show in folder and I could see my download. After messing around for about an hour I went back to Chrome/download/show in folder selected properties and found on the General tap at the bottom the file was blocked. Unblocked it ...went back to WIN10FE and I could see my file.Windows 10 or Chrome did NOT warn me that the file was blocked! Why is Microsoft's Windows 10 blocking Adobe's ACSM file downloads. Anyone have an answer?

i need to authorize my computer but every time it show me this one.... my account are correct but i don t know how to fix it

I think I know specifically what my problem is, and it may not be solvable, but I'm hoping someone might have a simple solution. Earlier in 2019, my Kobo Aura (circa 2013) couldn't open library books I borrowed via OverDrive even though I had authorised my computer and Kobo with my Adobe ID and I had successfully opened library epubs before. Perplexed, I tried asking Kobo customer service, which didn't help. Eventually, I connected with someone from OverDrive support who walked me through many repetitive steps and concluded that due to the age of my Kobo, it could only recognize the ADE authorization from my Adobe ID if I used ADE 3.0 to transfer the epub. I was also informed that there were no known workarounds should I ever update ADE beyond version 3.0. The problem now is that my computer updated to MacOS Catalina, and ADE 3.0 doesn't work with Catalina, so I have to use ADE 4.5 which means I can't read library ebooks any more. Does anyone working on Digital Editions read

I have two separate IDs for Adobe Digital Editions (business and private). How can I use both IDs on one and the same app, that is one and the same computer?

Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:W_ADEPT_CORE_EXPIRED I have not been able to figure out why this message is showing up. Others have seen a message that says, "REQUEST" instead of "CORE". I'm not sure if it is the same problem but I need help urgently. 

I've tried everything adobe told me to try with no luck.  Does anybody have a fix for this?

I use my laptop computer to borrow ebooks from our public library. After I selected one book and it borrowed, I can download a link URLLink.acsm. Doing a double-click, Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.10.186048 opens and fullfils the book. After that I send the ebook to ebook-reader Tolino Epos, which is connected by usb cable to the laptop.After disconnecting the ebook reader, I can open the book and start reading it. Suddenly, the reader updates himself and shows error message (short form) "Book protected by DRM. Enter Adobe ID." The activated Adobe ID is already transferred to tolino and it is the right one. The key values are the same as given to laptop. From this point it is not possible to open any borrowed book. The only thing that helps ist to reset the ebook reader to delivery status, remove all settings, all books and begin from scratch. I have to do this frequently - every other day. My old ebook reader, a Kobo Aura, didn't even think about such a strange

I cannot see any book or whatever else on my screen - I know the books are there but my screen is totally blank except for the menu - there is really nothing I can see I can do ?  Did sb have that problem already and how has it been solved ?

Hi everyone,Not sure if this has been posted before... but my ADE does not sync between the two devices I use it on.I mostly use it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A but sometimes I want to use it on my laptop (Dell).It does not automatically sync my books between these two devices.Also, on my Galaxy Tab, I am unable to create any folders in the app for books for different authors.Does anyone know how to fix this? 

Have authorised device. I have checked in settings auto-download. Version of app is 4.5.11.187202Tried close app and restarting it etc. Tried swiping down on library screen to refresh with filter to purchased. Nothing works. I have no issues with the PC desktop version of ADE

All of a sudden I get the "Activation Server error - code E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY" message I've tried to re-authorize my computer:a. I've tried deleting the activation.dat fileb. I've tried authorizing using Adobe IDc. I've tried authorizing using Overdrive IDd. I've tried authorizing without IDe. I've tried uninstalling ADE and reinstallingf. I've tried uninstalling ADE 4.5 and installing ADE 3.0 None of the above worked. Please help!

I bought a Book online. I downloaded the ASCM Data and Adobe Digital Edition.Due the Fact you cannot work (just read a Book) there, i wantet to convert the Data to PDF or sth. like that. I first red a few Tutorials online, with authorization and so on, but my Problem is after converting to PDF, the PDF Data is complete empty and cannot be converted to sth else. Its like the Data isnt there.

I have lost the password to an Adobe account linked to an old email address which was the ID.Digital editions won't allow me to de-authorise or re-authorise  with a new ID without this password. An hour with the Adobe chat-line failed to find a solution. Any ideas, please? I use a MacBook Pro, OS Mojave.
