Digital Editions

I have been told by eBooks.com the MS Surface Pro devices are not supported by ADE.  It was last year.  Is this true?

I have been using this account for authorizing eBook readers, but I also used several computers and operating systems, so I may have used up more authorizations, and also tried to de-authorize the latter when upgrading the machine to keep the number of devices small.However, one of the two eBook readers is not authorized anymore, and I can't authorize it. (I don't care about the computers – I only read books on the readers – but at least one computer apparently needs to be authorized in order to put eBooks on a device.)Adobe Digital Editions now crashes when I try to authorize the reader, and the stack trace indicates that it may get an unexpected reply from some web server, so I thought it could help to reset/clear the devices connected with my Adobe ID.I read in many places that one could ask Adobe for completely erasing all devices associated with my account via the chat system, but the two people I reached there eventually referred me to forum.

I installed Adobe Digital Editions, and ADE works normally. Myr computer is authorized with my Adobe ID. I can navigate the whole menu, the options. Everything is fine.I use Window 10, 64-bit, 8Gb RAM, Inter Core i7-2600.When I connect my eReader brand Kobo Aura Edition 2, it appears on the Shelves, but immediately ADE hangs up.The Kobo storage unit works properly, I passed the review tool, no errors. I connected it to a laptop running Windows 7, 32-bit, with ADE and it works properly.I have checked the Firewall, I have even disabled it, and also the Anti-virus, but it also does not work.I don't know what to do.I'm waiting for some help.Thank you.Hola,He instalado, y funciona normalmente, Adobe Digital Editions. I've just signed up to my local library in London, UK, which operates an e-book "lending" service.Unfortunately they have chosen as their partner Adobe Digital Editions, which appears not to work with most of the popular systems, e.g. Kindle, iBooks etc.Should I waste more time trying to transfer the books I've managed to download to my Macbook across to my iPad (the sign-up process alone was a massive faff !), or just give up?

Hi,When users in our network try to open a downloaded .acsm-file they get an error message saying "connection error detected digital editions could not connect to the fulfillment server".If you take the same computer outside our network you are able to open the file and the book is activated.What ports on what IP addresses do we need to open to make this work in our corporate network?Best regards,Erik

I am using Digital Editions to read a textbook for a class and it has been working fine up until this point.  Then the other day, my computer did an automatic update and now Digital Editions will not open which is very bad because I cannot complete the class without the book.  It looks like something is about to load after I click the icon, but then nothing opens.  Does anyone know how to fix my problem?Thanks,Trent

I am using ADE and want to download ebooks through overdrive.  I continually get an error my computer is not authorized for the vendor ID.  When I put in my login information it states that vendor account is not associated with the item I am trying to open and tells me to try again.  How do I correct this? 

Where can I find a  safe download of adobe digital edition 3.0  for a MAC?I have uploaded adobe digital editions 4.0. I Have the library ebook showing in the library view. Then I uploaded it to my e-reader, I can see it on  my e-reader but it won't open. A message tells me I am not authorized to use Digital Editions because I deauthorized my e-reader. But I didn't. I have redone the whole process (uninstalled app etc... ) and still get that message. Called Kobo and they told me to download ADE 3.0 or 2.0. Can't find any safe place to download it from? Kobo sent me to Adobe. Very frustrating since  Adobe has no helpline for this. HELP!!!

I bought an eBook, came as ascm.file, viewed as DRM PDF in Adobe Digital Editions. I can view the eBook fine in ADE but it's useless as far as efficiently & effectively reading & note-taking using the PDF. Thus, I want to open the PDF in Acrobat which is a million times better. My Adobe ID used for ADE is the same I use for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (which I pay for). Why can't I view the PDF in Acrobat? I receive an error message stating "There was an error opening this document. The security plug-in required by this command is unavailable."

ADE is insisting on importing all the EBooks I have deleted weeks ago.Tried deleting all books from My Digital Editions and re installing ADE a few times but no change

At my home desktop, when I reject photos with an x, I then use the "Create new folder within the (Name) folder" option by right-clicking. The rejected files are moved to that new folder labeled, "Rejects." So if I originally have a folder of 60 images and reject 10, then I will have 50 good images in the parent and ten in the "Reject" folder. Perfect. Version 8.3.1I'm teaching a class now and when demonstrating this technique, the rejected files are copied, (not moved) to the "Rejects" folder and also stay inside the parent folder. So I now see the 60 original files in the parent folder plus a child folder with the ten rejects. When I check my Finder, there are in fact duplicate files inside the "Rejects" folder.It's happening on my teacher station and the student work stations.Any advice wou8ld be appreciated.Thank you.Mihael Stern

Bonjour,Je suis bloquée pour ouvrir mon livre sur mon ebook sur ma liseuse bien que la procédure de téléchargement se soit bien passée.J'ai ce message d'erreur : "Votre eReader n'est pas autorisé à ouvrir ce livre" - Ce livre est protégé par Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM).J'ai voulu suivre la procédure conseillée dans ce cas : effacer l'autorisation puis la remettre en place.Le problème est que lorsque je veux effacer l'autorisation, mon MP est demandé, lorsque que je met le MP de mon compte ADE il n'est pas reconnu. Par contre j'arrive sans problème à me connecter a mon compte ade sur internet avec mon MP.J'ai essayer de désinstaller l'application ADE de mon ordinateur puis réinstaller, cela n'a rien changé.Comment sortir de cette situation ?Merci pour votre aide

I am puzzled regarding how to load Adobe plugins that are listed in the Digital Edition Help menu selection "About Adobe Plugins".  The info window for this topic shows a collection of Adobe Plugins that (I guess) came with my install of the software.  But some of them are shown as loaded and some are shown as not loaded, such as the DRM plugin for example.  Some of them seem to be loaded at some times but not loaded at other times, and there is no control or function that I can see .that provides this functionality.  I cannot find any info on how to find, load, unload, actyivate, or whatever in the Help files.  The list is pretty long and most are loaded, but I would like to now where to get plugins, how to install and activate and control them, and so on for the DC reader so that I can control what is available etc.  Any help would be appreciated.This reader is the greatest PDF reader for my Win desktop PC ever, I wish there was a version for my Android

Good Day, after LOTS of trial and error I have come to the following EBOOK setup.  I use Calibre to organize my personally scanned and purchased books into PDF and EPUB formats only.  All book folders are in a main master library folder I have named "Calibre" it is linked to the same named duplicate folder on my cloud Onedrive account.  So everything organized on the Laptop, is also auto backup to cloud.  So far so good.  I also have an app for Calibre on my Tablet. that lets me know what already on the tablet and what is NEW in the Onedrive library folder, so I can copy them to Tablet if I want..  I have found a few tablet readers that seem ok.  But for my Laptop, It looks like the "Adobe Digital Additions" will make a GREAT reader?  After LOTS of trying  many ebook formats and "this and that options", I have clearly decided to stay clear of all Kindle formats and readers.  But FINALLY here is the REAL question?  So Far I have abo

Hallo. Ich habe eine Windows Neuinstallation gehabt.Ich habe daraufhin erneut auch die Digital Editions installiert. Ich habe es auch autorisieren können.Zunächst wurden (fast) alle Bücher richtig angezeigt. Da jedoch ein Paar von Ihnen offenbar Autorisierung Fehlermeldungen hatten habe ich das Programm neu gestartet.Daraufhin war gar kein einziges Buch mehr auf der Oberfläche zu sehen weder autorisiert oder nicht. Ein Testbuch, das von Adobe angeboten wird konnte ich jedoch sehen/lesen.Wenn ich die erworbenen Bücher zur Bibliothek erneut laden möchte, kriege ich die hartnäckige Fehlermeldung: "Das Dokument, das sie hinzufügen möchten, ist bereits in der Bibliothek vorhanden.".De-Installation Neu-Installation führt zu nichts. Autorisierung aufheben , wieder autorisieren - führt zu nichts.Vielen Dank in voraus für jede Hilfe.

I set up an account with Adobe Digital Editions and it won't let me authorize the computer.  It says my user ID or password is wrong.  I have determined the correct user ID.  How can I change my password?

I used to be able to download digital files from Netgalley.com but now I get  this error message. I tried to de-authorize my account but it spins and spins and nothing happens. If I remove and re-install the app, I will lose all my titles which are no longer available. I don’t understand why anyone uses your digital format instead of the kindle which always works. I am at the point of never selecting a book in the protected file format that takes me to ADE.

How can I download my ebook from Adobe Digital Editons to my Nook?  I am getting an error message that says 'Failed to write destination file'
