Hi, my problem is that when I try to authorize my new MacBook with my Adobe ID when logging in on Adobe Digital Edition it says:"you can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices"Although right above it says: "Authorizing your computer enables you to: Easily transfer Adobe DRM protected items between multiple computers and mobile devices" etc. which I interpreted that, I should be able to use this ID on multiple computers, in my case my new MacBook and also my stationary computer. So... why do I receive this message when I try to authorize? Could it be because I'm authorized on my old computer? I don't have access to that computer anymore so how do I erase that authorization? I cannot read books transferred from my computer to nook Color model 'BNRV200'. I receive message 'user not activated' on Nook. I have tried deleting '.adobe-digital-editions' and 'Digital Editions' files from my Nook and having Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 [ADE] from my computer reinstall them onto my Nook. This does not work. Could anyone help please?

Hi, I can't manage to do that, isn't Letto compatible with Digital Editions? Error message: No permission to copy the book.

How do I get Digital Editions to download - I've been trying for days and it freezes.  I need this to download books from the library to my Kobo.  Can anyone Help?? Thank you

I just upgraded to Digital Editions 4.5.1 on a Windows 10 computer.  I downloaded a book, but it would not allow me to open it on my Nook Color, saying I did not have permission.  I attempted to delete the book by removing it from the library and deleting it in the download file.  Every time I open Digital editions, the book reappears with the current time as the time downloaded. How can I get rid of this phantom book?

I have tried to find an answer online but haven't come across one yet. I have been unable to launch Digital Editions 4.5 for months now and can't figure out why. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing it with no results. I can't download the older versions as the ebook I want to open won't open on these older versions for some reason. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know of any solutions? Thanks.

Hi,I have a new Laptop and wanted to authorize Adobe Digital Editions on it. But it tells me, that that cant be done because the Adobe ID is already used. In the FAQ it sais that it is possible to use it on 6 Devices (I only have it on my old Laptop, so this would be my second device). The only answer that I have found yet is, to contact the Support to reset the ID (even though this does not 100% make sense, because I I havent used it on six devices, but I dont rly care, just want it to work on my new Laptop no matter how). THe Porblem is, that I can not contact the Support, as soon as I choose "Adobe Digital Editions" in the Pre-contact form it does not matter what I enter under "What type of issue are you experiencing?" I can only click on Forum, the "Chat" option fades as soon as I enter any of the given optionsHope you can help meMfg Kryptix

Hello,I have installed Adobe DE and downloaded 2 ebooks which appear perfectly fine on the first and second devices which I authorised. I am in need of these ebooks on a third device and when I authorise the account on the third device, nothing appears. I have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe DE. I have also erased authorisation and then authorised using my ID again but this did not change anything. This device was the original one that I wanted to download the ebooks on but I had to use another in the end as the ebooks were failing to download. Does anyone have any idea why this could be?Thank You

For several years I've been able to download Kobo books to my laptop using ADE.  The last time I bought books, I was unable to download to ADE.  Kobo insisted I could download directly to my eReader.  I've been in touch with Kobo.  They insist it is a problem with Adobe's software.  Is anybody else having this problem?

I wanted to know how to control the number of columns that are displayed when viewing a book with Digital Editions.Within Digital Editions, I did this:- Click Help- Click Adobe Editions Help- Choose a product.  I have to scroll down to find Digital Editions, even though that's the product that I originally clicked "help" for, so I would've thought it ought to already know that.- In "Tell us what you need help with..."  -- I choose How-to's- In "Is your issue related to..."  I once again choose How-to's- I get a page saying "Try these first...   Adobe Digital Editions Learn & Support.  I start to type in the Search Field, and the page then decides to scroll down for me.. arrg... "what the ?" , so I scroll back up type my search "number columns"I get results for "InDesign", InCopy, Photoshop! Seriously?! After repeatedly saying I I want help with "Digital Editions" 3 times already you just ignore it and give unrelated results for different products?!&nbs

The ADE window opens, and is empty of books. When I click "Add to library" the file opens showing all the books downloaded prior to Nov. 10. When I click on one of them, the program shows "The document you are attempting to add already exists in your library."How can I straighten this out?

I am not able to view or re-download my ebooks.  I keep getting an error message saying my license is fulfilled. Can someone please assist?

I just installed Adobe Digital Editions on iPhone and Win10.Authorization fails with Invalid Username or password.The problem was that I had 2FA enabled on my account.Had to disable 2FA to authorize, and then re-ebnable it.Adobe should fix this by either have the auth process say that you had to disable 2FA, or add 2FA to the app itself.

J'ai téléchargé un Ebook et Digital edition sur un ordinateur (windows) : Tout marchait très bien.Quand j'ai téléchargé digital edition sur mon iphone j'ai bien sychnronisé et mon ebook est apparu également.MAIS, sur mon Mac on ne me propose pas de me connecter, je n'arrive pas a synchroniser mon Ebook.... Hallo zusammen,ich habe in meiner örtlichen Bücherei ein Buch mit einer Ausleihfrist von 3 Wochen heruntergeladen. Leider verwendete ich dafür meinen Zweit-Rechner.Nun lässt sich dieses Buch nicht auf meinen Ebook-Reader öffnen, Autorisierung fehlgeschlagen.Ein erneutes Ausleihen ist nicht möglich, da das Buch ja schon ausgeliehen ist. Also heißt das für mich, 3 Wochen warten bis meine eigentliche Ausleihfrist verstrichen ist. Super tolle Sache mit so viel Sicherheit und Adobe ID, dass man sich also selbst ausperren kann. Ich bin arg von einem Weltmarktführer enttäuscht.Im Computer-Zeitalter sollte es wenigstens möglich sein, einen weiteren Rechner zu autorisieren.MFGHans Muske

Bonjour,Avec mon Adobe ID, j'ai autorisé plusieurs fois des ordinateurs afin de télécharger des ebooks pour les traférer sur liseuses. Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait une limite de 6 autorisations maximum. Je m'en suis rendue compte il y a quelques jours.Le souci est que lorsque j'essaye de contacter le service clientèle ADOBE afin d'avoir une réactivation de mes autorisations liées à mon Adobe ID, ils n'arrivent pas à me répondre car le logiciel Adobe Digital Editions est un logiciel libre d'accès. je me tourne donc vers ce forum pour trouver une solution.Merci d'avance pour vos réponses

I am having problems with sending emails.  Is there a way to make it so that it always uses my default email?  If not, I am also having problems with sending emails.  for some reason it locks up frequently with the blue circle.  i have to close it out and restart the app to make it work.  Sometimes it takes more than once.  I have tried saving the PDF to my desktop and send from there but that had the same issues. Is anyone else having the same problems?

Hi, I've just installed ADE 4.0 and every time I start it it crashes with the message 'ADE 4.0 has stopped working'. I've reinstalled, restarted, deleted registry key, install as administrator, run as administrator, etc, etc. Everything that I could find, but nothing seems to work.I'm severely disappointed in this piece of junk. It's unbelievable that it is so hard to correctly install this program when so many businesses are depending on it. I'm on a coporate machine running Windows 7 professional.Erik

Hello,I opened a book on my Adobe Digital editions (authorized by computer without adobe ID). Now I want to use this book on my other devices. When I de authorized the computer, and authorized the computer with the adobe Id, I could not access the book. since my computer was only authorized.Please help me ASAP

Unable to authorize.After completing with my ID and password the authorisation process fails with this error message:"Activation Server errorcode : E_ADEPT_REQUEST_EXPIRED http://adeactivate.adobe.com/adept.Activate 2018-11-07...………………...DIGITAL EDITIONS encountered an error on the activation server"My password is recognised.Any solutions to this. Just started using the software. I have been able to open the book up but when I try to scroll up or down it does not even change pages. I can see the page numbers move at the bottom but the pages it self is not even changing. I have re-installed countless times but still does the same thing.

I downloaded books in my Kobo Aura H20 from a public library.  When I try to open it, it says that this reader is not authorized to open the book, which it's false since the authorization rights have been given to my pc and to my reader.  Some other people have the same problems and there is no solution proposed by ADE.  I desinstalled ADE 4.5 et reinstalled 3.0, but no success.  What is going on?
