Digital Editions

When attempting to transfer an eBook to my Nook eReader I get the error message "Error: Check Activation."  I have no idea what this means.  Can anyone help?

Hello,I cannot seem to open adobe digital editions anymore. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but sill I cannot open adobe digital editions.

Hi, I have a Macbook Pro with OS X El Capitan and Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.   I am suddenly unable to download the book I just bought.  Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY   So what should I do with this message? My e-books, purchased and paid can not be opened? Now the message appear also when I try to open some book that were already in my library.  I came on this forum to find solutions, and tried, as they said, to erase te authorization, and then, to validate it again. But I had a response that said that I can’t erase the authorization. Help anybody?  Thank you.  Sorry for the poor english writing, I’m terribly french…Linda Roy

I have a current edition of Adobe Reader but I'm unable to download from my library accout

I have not signed in to ADE in a very long time, perhaps a yr or more. Right after Adobe asks us to change our password when some sort of internet compromise happened. I think is was that Heart SSL thing.Anyway I did the change and  had a new computer since all that. Since it's been a while I did not keep too close an attention on the old login (never dream I would end up with this problem now) so I am sure I have an old ID sitting somewhere in Adobe's records.So now I thought it's time to check out my books in my Kobo Library with ADE and of all the books that ADE opened, it refused to open 16 of them because of: E_LIC_ALREADY Fullfilled by another user. Well the only use had ever and still is me. Kobo reset those books several times, I uninstall and reinstall ADE but its the same problem with those books.Kobo suggested I contact Adobe and ask to have the licenses for those 16 books reset and or merge the old and new ids so I can get my books back.I got onto Adobe Chat and I was

I'm am attempting to read a book but the pages will not change:The page number is changing but the image is not. The Image is stuck on the page it first loaded to.The only way to get it to change pages is by exiting to library and reentering the book.I have the latest version and have uninstalled, re-downloaded and installed multiple times and still nothing works tbh this is getting annoying. 

Hello ... my first trip to a computer forum.   I need helpThe other day I installed ADE and borrowed a library book.  I was able to view it in ADE and transfer it to my KOBOWhen I opened it on my KOBO I got a not authorized message.  I tried again and had problemsI tried ADE help chat and no help.I uninstalled and installed again today downloaded the book again and now am getting this message in ADE when I open the book in internet explorer.ERROR GETTING LICENSE.  SERVER COMMUNICATION PROBLEME_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERHelp!  Please & thank you

When I try to download an EBook from the local library(King county) ADE stops responding but not with every book. About 2 of 3  EBooks will download correctly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous versions of ADE without success.  I did not have this problem until I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to windows 10.  When I right click on ADE Windows marks the program as incompatible and does not give me a way to make it compatible with Windows 10.  Running ADE as an administrator does not solve the problem.   Two questions, why will some EBooks download correctly and how do I fix this problem? 

I buy a book and when I download it, I get an URLLink.acsm files. When I want to open it, ADE gives a message "Error ! Check activation"What does I do ?

I am using Win10Pro - I have reinstalled ADE, reauthorized the Reader (same Adobe ID), restarted, reconnected...My wife is using the same product with Win10Home, same FW on the readers - it works fine.Of course I can copy books or download links using the explorer as a workaround, bt it's not really convenient...Thanks for any suggestions or help!

Hi,i have Adobe Digital Editions to my iPhone. After upgrading to new iOS version (10.3), the adobe digital editions not work properly. I can't open any of my e-books.  The application not responding.I tried to remove Adobe Digital Editions from my iPhone and installed again but i have the sane issue.Please can you help me?Thank you Michail

So my ADE worked fine for the first library books. then I keenly returned four within hours and set to reading a longer one. In the meantime, a short book that I requested came up and I plugged in my Kobo H2O, ready to load the new book on.  I got a message. "Oops, this content cannot be read because.......adobe ID"i have tried everything. Uninstalled ADE. Reinstalled ADE. Unauthorized my Kobo. Reauthorizes my Kobo. now the book I was happily reading works no more. HELP!I have had a Kobo for a month and honestly in a tie with Kindle the bonus was that I could read library books. It seems that was a stretch. Oh, and let's not forget that the Adobe HELP does not HELP for free product like ADE.   Ummm...what???

I have downloaded Cloud Library App and have upgraded Adobe Digital Ed. to 4.5 but am still getting error message:  Activation Not Ready, when attempting to download books. What am I doing wrong?

   We use Edition Guard to download our textbooks and manuals.We sent our students links and this is the message that comes up when they use Adobe Reader.       Unable to downloadError getting License.License Server     Communication Problem:      E_ADEPT_NO_TOKENEdition Guard said everything looked good from their end and to contact Adobe, so I contacted Adobe help and they said to put it on the forums as they couldn't help. 

​Why can't I slide books from library without getting a "not responding" remark?

I cannot slide over some very recent books from the library, but can slide over any western or outdated books very easily.  I keep getting "not responding" all the time on recent dated books .

When I try to download a book from the King County Library System, my computer asks me to reload ADE 3.0 and then does not download the book.

I have downloaded ade and updated but when it was done a few years ago I was using it through my library. It is associated with my library card and local library. I now can't read books through other programs and I can't de-authorize it since it wants a vendor log in. How can I fix this or who should I contact? my library has been no help at all.

I just installed ADE 4.5, but it does not see my Sony Reader when I connect it. A device authorization screen does not pop-up, even when I type CTL + SHFT + E. I was using ADE 3.0 before, and it could see my Sony. I had to upgrade because of my book vendor, Kobo, requested it so my new puchases could be downloaded to my computer. In order to download the books, I had to deauthorize and reauthorize the computer. I did this using regedit, following a procedure from this forum. It suggested deleting the key and the DEVICE directory, which I did (and probably is the cause of my problem).Now, ADE does communicate with my Kobo library and allows me to transfer books to my computer, but that is not where I read them. I want to load them on my Sony Reader. Any advice?

I am running ADE 4.5.1.133054 on Windows 7I am using a KOBO e-reader.I am regularly loading e-books from the library and usually it works okay.  Today, after loading a library book I could not open it on the e-reader as the DRM info did not match my device authorisation. (it opens fine on my PC running ADE).  I erased the authorisation on the e-reader using the Device Options menu on ADE.When I try to re-authorise the e-reader, ADE sees it and I can go to the Device Options menu, but nothing works - cannot authorise, cannot read the device authorisation info.I would appreciate any suggestions

Hello,I have authorised one Windows computer in Adobe Digital Editions using my Adobe ID. Now I want to authorise my Macbook as well, but I get an error (please see screenshot). Why is that so? I thought the point of the ID was that we can now share books across our devices?Thanks!Best,Viola

When I attempt to download Adobe Digital Editions, it asks for my username and password. Each time I type the username and password given me by Adobe via email, it tells me that my username and/or password is incorrect. Please help.

downloaded book from local library 3 weeks ago, now it won't down load.  Do I need to re-authorize?
