Digital Editions

I'm new to Digital Library. I downloaded my first book onto my desktop (Win 7) yesterday, with some fuss, but successfully. I also got it to work on my Android tablet, quite easily. Today, I tried to download the same book to my laptop (Win 10), but I get this error message "Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem: E_ADEPT_NO_TOKEN". What am I doing incorrectly? Please help!

I had to re-download my digital editions and now it is asking for an ID number. I can not remember having to do this originally. I have tried everything from my email address (Email Address removed by a Moderator) and also made a new email address with hotmail but nothing works. I use this to download books and transfer them over to my Kobo e-reader. Can you help me?

I have been having difficulties (after 2 years successful) use with 'the oops - this document couldn't beopened message' and not able to resolve. Therefore I downloaded ADE 3.0 to my desktopPC (opposed to my laptop that housed the version experiencing difficulties). ADE 3.0 is loaded,computer and device authorized. When I download a book from the library, the book isdownloaded, ADE automatically opens and I receive the message"connection error detected - ADE could not connect to the fulfillment server - please makesurw you are connected to the internet" which obviously I am.Solution - assistance? Thanks

After several years of downloading books from library to ADE on my desktop (Windows 7), now when I do a download ADE opens on my screen but no book appears.Just a white blank ADE screen.  When the system was working I would then drag the book into my Nook reader. I have tried ADE 4.5.3 and 2.0  I have also unauthorizing and authorizing.  Help would be appreciated.     ....................  Alex

I am currently taking a course through Kaplan and got a digital download for the review book and was told to download adobe digital editions. I would like to have the review book on my iphone and ipad as well as my computer. It seems that nobody can answer this question or help me. Please help me figure this out?

​I have a library book on my kobo ereader which shows 65% read.  After I had recharged the kobo battery and clicked on the book again a message came up saying"Oops! This document couldn't be opened because it is not currently authorised"  When I signed in to Adobe ID again I was told there was no record of my book on mycomputer, which is strange because I am in the middle of reading it and my library account shows I have 8 more days of loan time. I have tried several times to download it again to my computer but with no success.  I don't know what to do next to be able to finish reading my book.

We get an error message " oops this document couldn't  be opened whenever we try to borrow an ebook from our local library.It used to work but suddenly stopped.How do we fix it ?

I had the Adobe 4.5 working in my computer, and suddenly, it began to get stuck when opening.  Windows said to try an earlier version, so I went to version 2.  It won't open either. Which version should I use?  I deleted the 4.5 and reinstalled.  Didn't work. Tried the 2, and it won't work, too.Every time that I do the reinstall, I have to turn my computer off and on again, because it gets stuck in the loading files part, and then I can't reinstall while it's working.Please help quickly!  I got an ordered library book the other day, and want to read it!

I have had Lightroom installed on my Pc for a couple of month, however when I went to use it yerterday it is failing to respond, I romoved program from my PC and reinstalled but to no avail, Anyone had similar problems?

We installed adobe digital editions 4.5.3 via admin account, then restarted and signed on with user. Opened Adobe digital editions and the program stops working, The only thing we can do is close the program. We are using Windows 8.1 on Dell XPS. We tried uninstalling and reinstalling software but it does the same thing. Please help!

Down an e-boock and to open it the acrobat constantly asks the DRM once it is accepted, but the book does not open again requesting the DRM and etc.

Here we go again! I was unable to download an ebook (no previous problem doing this). After many hours on line with BAM and Adobe the only suggestion was to delete and reinstall adobe which I did. Now the library screen shows a "Getting Started" book which I can't get rid of and it still won't download my e book. HELP!!!!

I downloaded the newest version so that I could borrow books from my public library for my Kobo. I now cannot authorize this new edition as it keeps saying I am not connected to the internet which I am.

Downloaded windows 10. Now when downloading ebooks from library ADE2.0 doesn't work. Upgraded to ADE 4.5.3 I get a check activation error. What is this and how do I fix it?

When  I go to download a book i get an error message  "check activation"    Checking activation shows that the pc is authorized - however i have changed my email - would this be the problem.. and should I erase the activation and put in the new email.   I just want to read my books... no big deal...plain and simple requestHow to authorize my e-reader?​Adobe Digital Editions​

My old computer crashed.  I had editions 2.0 on it.  The technician updated my Adobe digital Editions to 4.5 on my new computer.  Kobo told me that there was a problem with edition 4.5 not working communicating well with  Kobo . Kobo customer services told me to uninstall it and install 3.0 which I did.  However when I try to transfer my books from 3.0 program to my Kobo I get this message.  "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED   No permission to copy the book",  I already downloaded the books from the Kobo page some weeks before changing computers.  Why do I not have permission to copy them to my ereader?

Id think it could cut throught some hassle and make it easier for folks to get there ebooks they need.

After downloading I was prompted to enter my username and password.  When I did and I know i did correctly(ON THE PROMPT AFTER DOWNLOADING)  I recieved an error/  Unknown Username or bad password.  I need anyway to install Digital editions. All this for a free program really?  I just want the ebook I paid for thats in acsm format. 

This program has been working for me up until today. I have windows 8.1.  I downloaded a book from the library. worked ok. Then I tried another one and got an error about licensing. I believe it was from that point on whenever I clicked on my koboeReader adobe would crash. I unauthorized, uninstalled the program. Reinstalled and re-authorized.  But, it looks different. There are no bookshelves. It will let me down load but the books don't show up anywhere and still when I click on Koboereader the program crashes with "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.3 has stopped working". I am installing to my D drive but this is where it was before and it has always worked fine.  Any ideas?

Hi ... I am so frustrated I have spent all day long trying to get my ADOBE Digital Editions working.I had an ebook I have been waiting on for ages to come free for me to download to read from my local library, doing so I got error message in my ADE stating that there was an error, this happened once before on a book that didn't bother me if I read or not, it was only to read whilst waiting for today's book to come free.  Downloading I got the error message again, so I contacted my Library to be told that there have been problems before and that if I was using an older version of ADE to uninstall and reinstall with a newer version.Upon this advise I did as I was asked to do, and installed a newer version.  Went through all the installations, Authorized ADE on my DESK TOP PC and opened up the new version of ADE ready to receive the book from my library ... What happened .... NOTHING ... I then spent 2 hours on the phone to the Library technician who spent ages assisting me with

I downloaded a book into ADE. My laptop is authorized. I want to be able to read the book on my Nook Color e-reader. Can this be done? How do I do it?

Hello, I recently purchased an eBook, but I wasn't sure how to open it. I have a PC with Windows 10 and attempted to open it in a few different apps. I finally was pointed to Digital Editions and downloaded version 4.5. When I try to download the eBook with Editions an error comes up stating "Unable to Download". It goes on to say "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULLFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER". I understand that eBooks can only be opened with one ID at a time. I only have one Adobe ID, so I'm not sure what other user would have access to it. Is there a way for me to fix this problem, or do I have to re-purchase the eBook?Thanks, Janessa

Hi,I downloaded an e-book (.epub) in ibooks and transferred it to my computer (Windows). In ibooks, it works just fine and I can read the book without problems. But when opening it with Adobe Digital Editions, the book only consists of blank pages. Only the table of contents is available. How can I fix this issue?I have an Adobe ID, so the computer is authorized.Some other books (.epub) that I also downloaded via ibooks can be read via Adobe Digital Editions on the computer without problems so the issue doesn't seem to be a general problem but only concerns a few books.Thanks for help in advance!

I have recently purchased a replacement Kobo device.  I followed all the instructions but when I tried to transfer a book from ADE I received a message saying I had no permission to copy.  Can  you help?

A.D.E. does not load. When I push "run," it proceeds thru to the last screen before crashing. I run WindowsXP. Is that the problem?
