Digital Editions

I downloaded the newest version so that I could borrow books from my public library for my Kobo. I now cannot authorize this new edition as it keeps saying I am not connected to the internet which I am.

Downloaded windows 10. Now when downloading ebooks from library ADE2.0 doesn't work. Upgraded to ADE 4.5.3 I get a check activation error. What is this and how do I fix it?

When  I go to download a book i get an error message  "check activation"    Checking activation shows that the pc is authorized - however i have changed my email - would this be the problem.. and should I erase the activation and put in the new email.   I just want to read my books... no big deal...plain and simple requestHow to authorize my e-reader?​Adobe Digital Editions​

My old computer crashed.  I had editions 2.0 on it.  The technician updated my Adobe digital Editions to 4.5 on my new computer.  Kobo told me that there was a problem with edition 4.5 not working communicating well with  Kobo . Kobo customer services told me to uninstall it and install 3.0 which I did.  However when I try to transfer my books from 3.0 program to my Kobo I get this message.  "CE_COPY_NOT_ALLOWED   No permission to copy the book",  I already downloaded the books from the Kobo page some weeks before changing computers.  Why do I not have permission to copy them to my ereader?

Id think it could cut throught some hassle and make it easier for folks to get there ebooks they need.

After downloading I was prompted to enter my username and password.  When I did and I know i did correctly(ON THE PROMPT AFTER DOWNLOADING)  I recieved an error/  Unknown Username or bad password.  I need anyway to install Digital editions. All this for a free program really?  I just want the ebook I paid for thats in acsm format. 

This program has been working for me up until today. I have windows 8.1.  I downloaded a book from the library. worked ok. Then I tried another one and got an error about licensing. I believe it was from that point on whenever I clicked on my koboeReader adobe would crash. I unauthorized, uninstalled the program. Reinstalled and re-authorized.  But, it looks different. There are no bookshelves. It will let me down load but the books don't show up anywhere and still when I click on Koboereader the program crashes with "Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.3 has stopped working". I am installing to my D drive but this is where it was before and it has always worked fine.  Any ideas?

Hi ... I am so frustrated I have spent all day long trying to get my ADOBE Digital Editions working.I had an ebook I have been waiting on for ages to come free for me to download to read from my local library, doing so I got error message in my ADE stating that there was an error, this happened once before on a book that didn't bother me if I read or not, it was only to read whilst waiting for today's book to come free.  Downloading I got the error message again, so I contacted my Library to be told that there have been problems before and that if I was using an older version of ADE to uninstall and reinstall with a newer version.Upon this advise I did as I was asked to do, and installed a newer version.  Went through all the installations, Authorized ADE on my DESK TOP PC and opened up the new version of ADE ready to receive the book from my library ... What happened .... NOTHING ... I then spent 2 hours on the phone to the Library technician who spent ages assisting me with

I downloaded a book into ADE. My laptop is authorized. I want to be able to read the book on my Nook Color e-reader. Can this be done? How do I do it?

Hello, I recently purchased an eBook, but I wasn't sure how to open it. I have a PC with Windows 10 and attempted to open it in a few different apps. I finally was pointed to Digital Editions and downloaded version 4.5. When I try to download the eBook with Editions an error comes up stating "Unable to Download". It goes on to say "Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULLFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER". I understand that eBooks can only be opened with one ID at a time. I only have one Adobe ID, so I'm not sure what other user would have access to it. Is there a way for me to fix this problem, or do I have to re-purchase the eBook?Thanks, Janessa

Hi,I downloaded an e-book (.epub) in ibooks and transferred it to my computer (Windows). In ibooks, it works just fine and I can read the book without problems. But when opening it with Adobe Digital Editions, the book only consists of blank pages. Only the table of contents is available. How can I fix this issue?I have an Adobe ID, so the computer is authorized.Some other books (.epub) that I also downloaded via ibooks can be read via Adobe Digital Editions on the computer without problems so the issue doesn't seem to be a general problem but only concerns a few books.Thanks for help in advance!

I have recently purchased a replacement Kobo device.  I followed all the instructions but when I tried to transfer a book from ADE I received a message saying I had no permission to copy.  Can  you help?

A.D.E. does not load. When I push "run," it proceeds thru to the last screen before crashing. I run WindowsXP. Is that the problem?

Hello,I am having tough time reading through the books on digital editions because I am unable to find a shortcut or any key to do continuous scrolling (like up and down arrow). Any help would be really appreciated. I hope there is a fix....

I have Digital Edition activated on my tablet and now I am trying to do so on my windows computer but I am receiving a message "Activation Server Error Code E_Auth_Not_Ready"  How do I fix this?

I am trying to download a book from University Readers, and I accidentally clicked that I want to authorize without using an Adobe ID. Now it says it's unable to download because there is an 'error getting license'. I think I have an Adobe ID, so I need to be able to go back and input it instead of authorizing the computer to download without the ID. But now every time I restart and try to pull it up, it automatically comes up with that error and won't even let me choose to sign in.

I am trying to download adobe ADE but it is taking forever.  Any suggestions?

I downloaded the newest version of adobe digital editions. I am trying to open an epub book borrowed from the public library and I receive the message "E_ACT_NOT_READY". I then follow instruction to deauthorzie my account by hitting command +shift + D. I enter my password and receive another message that says "Cannot deauthorize account. Try some time later" I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software, I have tried chatting with online support and nothing is working.

Hello,I´ve got the following problem:I´m reading a borrowed ebook from a library and set bookmarks, remarks etc. If I can´t finish the ebook within the timeframe and borrow it again,  Adobe D.E. is "creating/opening" a new ebook....and so all remarks are gone.Is it possible that A.D.E. can identify that it is the same ebook and show all the remarks again?BR NIco

I have been having problems with this since last year.  I used to be able to download documents and books without any problem.  At some point I began getting an error message regarding the user license.  The problem was not resolved. I am still trying to access my digital editions for downloading as I am currently finishing an online degree and depend on downloading resources.  I keep getting the same message, and when I try to erase the computer authorization in an attempt to correct this problem, I get a message where I need to enter the email and password.  However, the system doesn't allow me to enter any information, and it is an email address that I no longer use nor have I used for years. I would have no way of knowing the password for this as it is not accepting any of the ones I am entering and doesn't allow me to check or verify the password.  The regular customer support has been unable to help me with this and they claim you will be able to hel

Hi! When I connect my Kobo Glo ebook reader to my computer (windows 😎 , the ebook reader starts charging (as it should), but when I open Adobe Digital Editions to transfer ebooks, it doesn’t show the ebook reader at all. I can only copy books in a new shelf. The problem started when I finished my last book and wanted to open a new one (already installed on Kobo), it showed the error Adobe authorisation failed… I could no more open any ebooks at all. As all I tried did not work, I reset the Kobo reader to the original setting and then wanted to connect it to ADE to transfer the ebooks again. But ADE doesn’t detect that the ebook reader is connected. What can I do?
