Digital Editions

Good AfternoonMy ADE won't connect to the internet. First I got a message that it could not connect to the fulfillment server. I can't return books. I can't download books. So I search the forums and the only usable suggestion is to reinstall ADE which I do. I remove the authorization and now if I try to authorize it says it cannot connect to the authorization server. There's no help on that one.Adobe is very quiet on the issue. Do I have to start buying paper books again?Thanks, Christine

Dear all, I cant' download every book from a public library and I get the following error message for some books:Download nicht möglich. Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz. I am trying to download my library books from my computer to my ereader, however I keep receiving the error message of "too many activiations, activation limit exceed".  How can this error message be fixed because I cannot read any of my books on my ereader?

Hi. When I try to transfer a downloaded ACSM file to ADE I get this message. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:E_ACT_NOT_READYI've tried downloading and opening files from my library, as well as sample ebooks from the Adobe sample file on ADE. Same message. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ADE and I am getting the same message. What else should I try?

Last time I downloaded successfully was Dec 14, starting dec 24 tried to download and had connection errors. uninstalled old version of Adobe Digital editions, restarted computer (win 8), downloaded newest version 4.5. activation/authorization is good as confirmed by adobe chat today, but everytime I try to download from my local online library to adobe digital editions for epub version I get Error! Check Activation.  Adobe chat services checked my account and said activation was good and no support is available except this forum. so, what is wrong???? something changed recently, I have been using this since 2012 then now since late Dec 2016 it won't work?  what do you mean no support except through forum? I am looking in forum and not many people are really getting answers to their questions.

Each time I connect my Kobo to my computer and try to display the book on ADE, it freezes and stop working. I have windows 10. What can I try?

Has anyone had trouble opening e books with adobe digital editions? Mine is in pdf format.  Would be grateful of any advice.

Hi,I have a nook glowlight plus and for the last few weeks, I've been unable to download any borrowed ebooks to my nook.  I've been on the B&N Forums and it seems to be a problem with ADE.  The books will download from the library website (overdrive) to ADE but when downloaded onto the Nook from ADE, I get an Error: Loan Token Failed.I've tried erasing and deregistering my nook, reinstalling my Android file transfer; deauthorizing, reauthorizing, uninstalling and reinstalling ADE but nothing works!It's been going on since the last week of November.  Please fix this!

Hi .I have been using local library to download books for few years no problems but now it is not working. I drop them to Abobe digital editions on computor, then drag to kobo reader. When I try sending from library they are trying to open in adobe reader, NOT digital additions. Does anyone know how to fix problem. Thx. Frustrated.

I am using Adobe Digital Editions 4.  and I am able to download a book from the public library to my tablet and I am able to get the book onto digital editions but when I try to drag the book onto my Kobo reader I get the following error message.Following item can not be copied to device.  Copy not allowed-No permission to copy this book.

I've downloaded books onto one computer and am trying to access them from another computer. I have activated both computers with the same ID, and also on my phone but can only see the books on the computer I originally downloaded onto. Is there a way to see the books on all devices?Thanks.

I am trying to reset my activation count.  I have tried contacting Adobe support and they were not helpful.  How do I open a ticket or reset my activation count?

Our University has been publishing our digital content in EPUB format. Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) is the preferred reader.Recently, some of our users faced issues with EPUB embedded video not playing as well as the page content gets truncated.One of the video we captured from the user - http://www.screencast.com/t/AvsnBPTSjr8The strange thing is, we are unable to replicate the issues on other computers despite having the same ADE 4.5 version as well as Windows OS version (reflected in the screencast link above).The same EPUB file is tested - https://s3-ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com/unisim.mm/2017+Jan+Pilot+Trial/BME211_J1_5_2_V2_0.epubHope someone can help me on this issue.

I have tried downloading ebooks from the library to ADE and they seem to work then when I transfer to my kobo and try to open it i get this error "this document is protected by adobe digital rights management and is not currently authorized for use with you adobe ID. please sign in with the authorized adobe ID and try again" I am signed in with my ID and was able to download it an open it in ADE. This has happened with every ebook lately

System asks to authorize for vendor however it only has default Adobe in dropdown box, the arrow in box doesnt work. so only Adobe can be visible. User and password for either Adobe or Google bring up unauthorized message. This worked 3 days ago I transferred 2 books, went to transfer 2 more and get this issue

I  can't transfer an e book to ADE.  I get an error message "error check activation".   First time I have had this problem in years.  The folks in the help chat are of no help.  It would be a lot easier to speak to someone directly.

If any version of ADE over 3.0 is giving you fits you need to go back to 3.0As per AdobeDownload ADE 3.0 from the following URL -  http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html Install ADE 3.0 on your computer.Connect the KOBO reader in ADE 3.0Activate KOBO using ADE 3.0Now you can transfer and reader books

Got thru the autorization process and it seems to be right. But every time I download a file from the library it has errors. I transfer it to my Kobo and it says I am not authorized. Have cancelled the authorization and redone, everything seems to be sucessful but still nothing.The file is on my computer but nothing but error messages when I try to open it.Cannot close ADE without if crashing.Refuses to delete files from the library so the same titles are stacking up over and over.Because it sees errors I cannot return them so I cannot read them and because I have them checked out neither can anyone else because of poorly done software.Troubleshooting on the Adobe site is a joke, I can understand not much support for free software but an occasional visit to a forum by an Adobe employee, REALLY!!!!!Overdrive as far as I can tell will not share with my Kobo so no help there.Little lost here
