Digital Editions

He instalado Adobe Digital Editions 4.5. He instalado la autorización de mi usuario, y los libros que tenía en el otro equipo anterior (el otro ordenador se me ha averiado) se visualizan en mi biblioteca. Pero intento acceder a ellos, y cada vez que entro se queda solo la visión de la portada. En la barra de abajo avanzan las páginas pero no se visualizan, indica la barra inferior que se avanza el número de página pero no se visualiza la imagen de la página, no veo los contenidos. ¿A qué es debido esto? Agradezco ayuda porque necesito los contenidos para mi trabajo como docente.  Saludos

I am trying to transfer books I have purchased on Google Play Books to my Kobo e-reader. I understand the mechanics of it. I have managed to transfer over all of my non-DRM books to ADE. However, I get this notice when I try to download a DRM book.How to download books from Google PlayImportant: The Adobe Digital Editions export service is unavailable at this time. We are working to resolve this issue. ADE books already opened from a .ACSM and DRM-free downloads are still supported. To read any book offline, you can also use the Play Books Android app and iOS app. Is anyone actually working on this or is this to cover Google's butt? Thanks

I'm running V4.5 on os x Monterey.In the past when I open a URLLinkxx.acsm file I got an epub file generated which I could than transfer to my Kindle. Recently when I do the same thing I get a .epub.xml file extension. Why is this happening ? What can I do to make this file into a usable .epub file ?

Sometime ago I set up an Adobe Digital account when I was reading eBooks from the Library. I decided it was too cumbersome carrying a lap top around to a read a book so I had not used the account in quite some time.I was given a kobo reader as a gift and as I downloaded and purchased a book it was not loading correctly in the kobo. The id in the kobo is different than the Adobe ID I originally set up. I was receiving a server error upon opening Digital Reader. I am guessing here but I believe it may be related to the Adobe Digital ID I have. With this in mind I removed the Digital Reader software, set up a new account and reinstalled the Digital Reader but it loaded my previous ID. I searched for a solution to deactivate one of them and saw a reference to emailing support but link did not take me to an e-mail address that I could see. this is without a doubt the worst software I have ever seen. You have done more to discourage reading and writing than television. This DRM scheme is untenable and incredibly frustrating and worst of all, does not work.Mark Burgess

Hello Adobe Community,          I've recently set up an Adobe ID account in order to borrow and read books from my digital library.  Yet when I try to authorize my computer with Adobe Digital Editions it asks for my Adobe ID, and I don't know what that ID is.  I've searched through all my profile information and cannot find anything that indicates what my Adobe ID actually is.         Has anyone else had this problem?  Can anyone help?  Thank you kindly!

I suddenly cannot read ebook from my Library on my Kobo. I download the book onto Adobe Digital Editions, transfer it to my Kobo and get the following message: Your eReader is not authorized to open this bookThis book is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). Because you previously deauthorized your eReader, you need to re-import the book using Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). Please visit help.kobo.com for more information. I have tried de-authorizing and re-authorizing both my computer and Kobo, resetting my Kobo and starting again... Nothing is working! 

I have a new computer and I can't authorize it for Adobe Digital Editions because my Adobe ID is still associated with the old computer.    The old computer is not operable so I can't use it do de-authorize that computer.  I don't want to create a new Adobe ID because I don't want to create a new email address just to do that and my current email is already associated with an Adobe ID.

My adobe ID cannot open an ebook. I am getting feedback that the vendor id is not associated with the item but the information supplied is correct for authorization. 

I had to reinstall Digital editions on a new computer. Unfortunately, I don't know what my Adobe ID and I can't find it in my online profile at Adobe. So where and how do I find it and where is it?Thanks! xavier

I have just bought a new Windows 11 machine. As I think is normal for security reasons, the adminstrator account is disabled. But when I try to instal Adobe Digital Editions, it refuses to do so under my personal machine account as I do not have the permissions necessary. However I can't run as administrator because the account is disabled. Anyone else have this problem or any solutions?Brian

Hello How would we solve this problem where we bought a book from Swedish adlibris bookstore, and Adobe Digital Editions is giving me E_LIC_LICENSE_SIGN_ERROR as result.Been looking at the other posts with this problem and it does not work with re authorizing or reinstalling the application.  

I have a Sony PRS-T1 e-reader with Adobe Reader software installed. It is authorized to read DRM content. Using my PC, I download an e-book from library/Freading. The PC version of Digital Editions is able to open the book fine. However, Digital Editions on PC does not recognize the e-reader. As such, I decided to try transferring the epub file (located under Documents/My Digital Editions) to the e-reader manually. However, while I can see the book, attempting to open it generates this error.I am not sure if this question would be better directed to a Sony forum or not, but I would really appreciate any pointers on the matter. For example, would a compatibility issue between the version of Digital Editions on my PC (4.5) and the presumably significantly older one on the e-reader cause this? Are there any other files aside from the e-pub itself that the device might need to ensure that i have permission to read the book?I am not really familiar with DRM technology, so I would really app

Hello, I had gotten an e-book from a public library and i had downloaded it into adobe digital editions. When trying to open the ebook in adobe digital editions, i get an error message that says "Unable to open the ebook title. Errors were encoutered in this item file". I have removed and reinstalled adobe digital editions and also tried another ebook and same error.
