Digital Editions

I bought 3 ebooks. I opened 2 out of 3 on my ereader (German brand "tolino"). I authorized it there with my Adobe ID. Then I notices some issues and I wanted to check them out on my laptop. I opened the 3rd book via Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 on my Macbook. Out of laziness I clicked "Don't authorize with Adobe ID" or a similar option. I opened the book, checked for errors. Later I noticed I cannot open it on my ereader tolino, i get the errror saying sth along the lines of "license already used by another". I went back to my laptop, check how to copy the book from my laptop to my ereader. I got a "No permission to copy" error. I reauthorized twice my laptop to the same Adobe ID I have for the books on my ereader. I still get the same error. Adobe customer support sent me here, to Adobe Community, for an "expert reply" on the matter after trying out some solutions.Please help, I would like to read this book on my ereader, but now it's openable only on my laptop.

I have made a succesful installation of a compatible version (on a MacBook Pro running MacOS Monterey) but always get: “Unable do download Error getting licence. License Server Communication Problem: E_ACT_NOT_READY”What can be done to fix this problem? Regards / Lars Hedlind

Hallo, ik krijg de melding; Deze Adobe-site komt niet overeen met je locatie.Wat moet ik doen? 

Ik kan geen e-books meer downloaden. krijg de melding:Communicatieproblemen met licentieserver: E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USERAlles al geprobeerd, ADM gedeactiveerd, verwijdert, opnieuw geinstalleerd. Zelfs een nieuwe account aangemaakt. Maar niets helpt. Heeft iemand een suggestie hoe ik het kan oplossen?

Al añadir un libro a la bibioteca, el programa se bloquea. No me deja realizar ninguna función, ni siquiera cerrarlo, que lo tengo que hacer desde el Administrador de Tareas, que me dice que el programa está funcionando.He desinstalado y vuelto a instalar, incluso lo he hecho con la versión 2 pero continúa el problema

Since yesterday I my e-book gave an error on my e-reader. I looked in my library and saw that the expiration date was not until two days later. So I googled and could be something wrong with my authorization. So I deleted it and tried to do it again with the same Adobe ID. Nothing. I gives: incorrect login ID or password for the selected ebook vendor.  I changes passwords, uninstalled Adobe Digitale Editions, but really nothing works. I'm not a very technical person. How can this be solved? I'm from the Netherlands and there is no other way we can use e-books from the library without this programme...

When I plug my Kobo into my computer, my computer recognizes that the Kobo has been plugged in but Adobe Digital Editions does not show a Device option. I know from the past it would appear above bookshelves when the device is plugged in. Has this happened to anyone? I just want to transfer Library books!!

I changed my email address longer time ago and it wokred up to now. But today I could not authorize a new eBook reader since one was damaged. I could de-authorize the broken eBook reader.I thought now it would be time to use my actual email address to create a new AdobeID.But I cannot delete the actual authorization in Digital Editions using my old email address.Even if it the same account, just with a new email Adress. Btw. the old email address is still usable.How can I delete the actual authorization and use one with my actual email Address?I already tried to change the email address in the actual Adobe account but this also did not work.

I have an Adobe Account and email.  I use Adobe Digital Editions to load libary books onto my Kobo Reader.  Adobe Digital Editions has a wrong email address associated with my file and I can't remove it.  They call it the Default address but it is different from my Adobe account and it is causing no end of problems.There is no way to change this email address as it is locked in.  There is no customer service for this and so no solution.Does anyone know how to change this default??

Ho scaricato due ebook dal sito feltrinelli. Solitamente apro gli ebook con ADE senza problemi per poi caricarli nel mio ereader. Oggi l'applicazione si apre ma la finestra rimane bianca come se non riuscisse a leggere il file appena scaricato (con DRM). Ho disinstallato e reinstallato un paio di volte l'app e ho pure autorizzato nuovamente l'ID di adobe, ma senza successo. Come posso risolvere il problema? 

Getting this error continuously since yesterday when i tried to open the file in adobe digital editions. I purchased an ebook and tried to open it. I have previously downloaded and opened acsm files in adobe digital editions but since yesterday am getting this error. How to solve this?

Pages are either faded or unreadable. I've deleted and reloaded the Adobe Digital app and the book and it doesn't help. The book and the app work fine on my PC.Even the pre-loaded instruction/introduction manual from ADOBE doesn't display correctly.

What does this mean. I was able to download a book last week and now I get this error. Does it have anything to do with the latest Firefox version?Yep it was the computer date/time that was not correct. Once that was corrected everything worked perfectly.

I'm trying to transfer books from ADE to my Sony book reader, but ADE isn't seeing the reader. The reader is authorised and in transfer mode. Am I missing something? 

I had authorized adobe digital edition on my PC and then reinstalled without deauthorizing it.  Is there any way that I can re authorize my PC from within my adobe account or something else I can do? Im aware of the keyboard shortcut that you do in the program but since its no longer installed and its a fresh install of my OS I'm going to assume this won't work even if I reinstall it, but I'd be happy to be told I'm wrong.

Hi, I downloaded a library ebook and attempted to sideload it onto my kobo clara hd using adobe digital additions version 4.5.11.187245 on my Mac. But when I attempt to do this (also happens for the sample books) I get the error E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN -Failed to write destination file. I have tried reauthorizing both computer and ebook. Ensured they are using the same name. So does anyone know how to fix this? thanks

Impossible de visualiser les e-books mêmes ceux que je pouvais visualiser il y a quelques mois. J'essaie la méthode de l'autorisation à enlever et à remettre : impossible ! Je suis sur Mac Sequoia 15.6 et je ne sais plus comment faire ! Toute ma bibliothèque est inacessible Quelqu'un a rencontré et trouvé la solution ?Merci d'avance!

Da alcuni giorni Digital edition non funziona: non apre gli ebook e non mi permette di autorizzare il mio kobo affinchè possa leggere ebook con DRM.Ho cancellato e reinstallato il programma ma nulla.Ho tolto le autorizzazioni al computer e poi rimesse, ma ugualmente non apro gli ebook e non riesco ad autorizzare kobo.

Dear Adobe Experts, I am encountering an issue when attempting to open an ACSM file downloaded from Google Play in Adobe Digital Editions. The error message "E_ADEPT_DOCUMENT_TYPE_UNKNOWN" appears. I have tried various solutions found online, including reauthorizing the software, re-downloading the file, updating the registry, and reinstalling Adobe Digital Editions, but none have resolved the issue.The software was functioning correctly a few weeks ago, but now it fails to open both new and existing ACSM files.
