Dimension

Is it possible to export my shape spinning as a video? I made a bullet and I want to some how  record it spinning to show the shadows and stuff but I can't figure out how. Thanks for any help 🙂 

I've create a scene for some packaging witgh a rectangular prism set to the dimensions the packaging is supposed to be. When I place my packaging image on the object it gets placed at 42.5% scale which is annoying, but also when I resize to 100% the image ends up much larger than the actual packaging size. it makes no sense.to put numbers to the description: box is 831mm W by 196mm H by 146mm D. Front image is 831mm by 196mm in photoshop, when placed in Dimension and resized to 100% it is larger than the front face of the object.

I am new to dimension and 3d. I made an object in photoshop and exported to dimension as .obj. When I add a graphic and try to scale it up it glitches and distorts. I tried 'uv map' and using the image as a fill but neither would work for me. Hopefully the video explains my issue better:

Hi, I am trying to render down a file which contains a 3D object, but for some reason, there is a problem in doing so. Ideally, I would like to be able to render my image to a high quality jpg file. But it will take on average say 2 to 3hrs. Obviously, no one has this amount of time!  Pls help!

Hey, I'm still waiting for Dimension to update (how many updates must we endure? It's really starting to bog down my work flow) but if there isn't a cycling kit mock up available, how do I create my own? Is that even a possibility?  

I imported a mesh obtained from Turbosquid. I guess Dimension refers to it as "models", not mesh. It came with all the materials and textures needed. When I tried to import those assets, they were all grayed out. If I tried to use "Place graphic as decal" Dimension would recognize the files, but of course that doesn't work because the images have to surround the mesh, not just function as a mapped image (like a decal). Is this a limitation of Dimension?

Hi,  Just double clicked Dimension to exit fullscreen and move it to another screen then it minimizes to the taskbar and wont resize up again - reinstall is the only way to fix the problem it seems... not very fun Version 3.4 .

I recently purchased a model from Turbosquid and every time I drag in the file, the material doesn't show. I know that the mtl needs to be in the same folder but it's still not dragging in. What's the best solution for this? Thanks!

Hi Guys, So i modeled my own bottle; i removed the Screw Top and the Thread so you can only see the body of the bottle in the image.  Please can someone explain to me why the STL file saves with jagged edges but can accept decals in Adobe Dimension and the OBJ file exports super smooth but cannot accept decals?  I honestly cannot wrap my head around this. Your assistance or guidance will be greatly apprecaited! I have attached the .psd file for you too.(Sidenote... i designed the original model in Fusion360 and moved the model to photoshop because the model did not want to accept decals when saving directly from Fusion360 and then importing into Dimension) - so i'm basically looking for a work around.) - Saving from photoshop again as an STL seems to get the decals to work but i need that surface to be smooooooth **,) 

We're super excited to have team library access, but cant get texture files to load, they appear to be there but when we try to edit, photoshop never actually opens a file. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi Guys, totally new to Dimension and loving it.. However I have tried to create a model in Photoshop, I have saved it as a .OBJ but when I come to import it into Dimension i get the message: 'Could not complete your request because Dimension does not recognise this file type'.I don't suppose anyone know's why this is please? I have the latest versions of both Photoshop and Dimension installed.Thanks

Has anybody had the same issue here with the decal distorting highlighted in yellow? It happens almost every decal I place but cant find any previous posts with this issue.

Hello I've been working on a complex scene for a few days. Dimenbion updated this morning and now I keep getting hangs where either some objects disappear when I'm performing a function (grouping) or the whole scene disappears (during a move) and then Dimension hangs with no crash report or any other indication of an error.  I have to use Force Quit to close the app. Not sure what I'm supposed to try. No new objects have appeared in the scene simce the previous version (of Dimension) which seemed to be fine.

I have a 7.5in x 1.5in decal that would wrap around a small jar, almost all the way around. The last inch or so on both ends gets distorted when I apply it to the jar. I tried to drop the AI file and a JPG and both resulted in the same thing.  After a closer look, it doesn't appear the software allows a full wrap-around style label. Any workarounds available or option to make it a feature request?

no idea how to make the render work. Any suggestion on this model? Maybe is the C drive is too small. The file also no ok with the cloud rending

Hello, I am currently using a Macbook Pro (2016 base model, 13 inch, 8GB, 128 GB SSD). I started using ADOBE DIMENSIONS and ACC recently after nearly 15 years and it's System Requirements Check has my computer at less than optimal Ram Requirements, and 128 GB is not enough disk space to save all ACC Apps. So, I'm looking to get a new computer and I want a 15 or 16 inch Macbook Pro, and I guess at least 16 GB ram, but with the option of going up to 64 GB - 32 GB in each DIMM - what is best? I can't imagine spending $4.5K on a laptop but I want this one to be my last purchase for more than 5 years and use all the apps I might want to use and not be prevented from being creative when I might want to. How much Ram do I need to get a green check mark in the category of Ram in DIMENSION? And going beyond that to using all ACC Apps, what is the optimal Ram needed to use all apps? - my guess is 16 GB or 32 GB, and with the option of the expensive HBM2 GPU, if that is also the best op

Hello, I've just started using Dimension today and I'm trying to create a 3D model of a Spikeball (picture of desired end result) The problem I'm having is when I apply a polka dot substance material to my sphere, the dots stretch into ovals. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening so the dots stay circles? This is what I have so far: spikeball-1

Hi, I'm running into an issue where my decal is repeating when I'm placing it on the model. I'm not using the fill option. I just want to place the image on the front of the model. Any ideas on why an image would repeat? 

Why does every dimension upgrade remove the GPU render option. Will be super helpful if the new release explicitly mentions that upgrading kills this.  Could someone post the NVIDIA driver setup that supports GPU render and the dimension version that works with this? Thanks in advance.

Short question to the users and maybe to developers or customer service (in case they read it here).Could it be, that Dimension is still a kind of beta-version - even it is published in v3.3? I have so many crashes and unstable features, that it is hard to for me to work with it. Restarting it many times a day without saved my last changes before crashing doesn't make fun!Do not misunderstand me: In general I really like to work with it and I am very curious about new upcoming functions, but the recurring crashes are really time-wasting...
