Dreamweaver

Hi guys i have a question... today i was working on a page, i had to make a scrolldiv for some text. i was changing the width and the height for that one page, something i have done many times, everything seemed to work well. But then suddenly things got all mixed up on alll my other pages. The positions of many divs got put into different places, many (not all) the divs have been put into different places. i cant make any sense out of it...i know that if we change the settings of a spry divtag it can change in another pages as well if its the same div. but how can 7 or 8 divs just be relocated when they are not the same divtag that i was editing??? why the positioning? i can remember deleting the positioning of the div i was editing in css i think in the positioning tab in the top field it said 1050 or something and i deleted that, other then that i only changed the width and height. any ideas anyone?? i already tried to change the positioning of the div i was editing back to 1050 but

I have had adobe products for years and this past month has been such a headache. I pay for the membership to have the product actually work!! the live view doesn't update when the code changes, the preview can't load for some odd reason. I'm at a point that I'm going to cancel everything with adobe and move on with a program that WILL work!!!!!

I'm using Dreamweaver 2018.  I created a page with a table inserted, but for some reason the table itself is visable on the live webpage.  Any ideas about why that is or how to make the table invisible on the webpage?

I have deleted or reinstalled dreamweaver several times along with the sites Ftp setups,  the server settings for a site is not being saved and each time I launch DW I have to enter the FTP user aname and password.  Anyone have any idea on how to fix this 

Hello, I know this is an older product but I much prefer it over the new cc version. Heres my issue I have an english install version. It installs fine on my HP windows 8.1 computer running in win 7 compatibility mode Works awesome. I use the same install on my dell laptop running windows 8.1 install in win 7 compatibility and the install process is all english.I open the program and its showing the splash in english but when opened the tool bar is all in spainish. Some of the drop downs are spainish but once an otion is opened like preferences its all english. Panels are in both english and spainish on the side panels. Some words are english some are spainish. Any idea how this is possble ? Have had both laptops since new neve used spainish languange on either for anything.Its and english install as I have used it on many fresh computers as I upgraded but this one computer installs it weird so I dont know if its windows doing this or the program some how installing the mixed lang

Hi!I am using Adobe Dreamweaver for a class I am taking in college and whenever I try to use the Window>Extract function to extract a file I need in order to create a website and all it'll tell me is "You do not have access to this service. Contact your IT Administrator to gain access." Can anybody help me and give me advice as to what to do to solve this problem?Thanks!

Hi, I've just started out with Dreamweaver 21.1 on the latest update of Windows 10 x64, but I've been having an issue with getting live view to work. I've repeatedly tried the Ctrl+Alt+H shortcut but nothing is happening. I'm unable to select bootstrap elements in the live view window or see the property inspector at all. I needed to do a fresh install using the Adobe cleaner tool for a different problem and the issue was present then as well so I don't think it's an installation issue. I'm very new to this so it's probably something super obvious, but I just can't figure it. Thanks for any help.

I'd like to re-arrange the sites that are in my "Manage Sites" pane which seems to affect the "sites" drop down "files" window.  But I can't see a way to do this- what amI missing? THX

Afternoon,I have a simpel lightbox that I can't get to work. It's seems like js might be getting blocked? I uninstalled my Dreamweaver's previous version.  We tried to install again but a warning appears telling us it is not compatible so how can I get my previous version?  In the Creative Cloud desktop app, no previous version appears.  So where can I find the previous version download links?   [Edited by moderator for clarity and better recognition by language translators.]    

When I use the command "Edit > Code > Apply Source Formatting"*  in a HTML or CSS file it has no effect. Is there a way to use this command? Thanks.

Just uploaded Dreamweaver 2021. The image properties no longer includes menu for creating image borders.  Where is it? If it's gone, how do you create a border around an image OR at least move text away form image?Kate T

We've used Dreamweaver for about 15 or so years for our website.  Today I tried to connect and got "An FTP error occurred -- cannot make connection to host.  Your log-in or password is incorrect..." How do I correct that?  This happened once before, but my computer son was here to re-connect.  What icons do I use?  Where do I go?  We have Windows and our host is Hostgator.  When I called them up, the connection was terrible and English was probably her third language??? How do I re-connect?

Hi, I have a copy of the book Dreamweaver MX 2004 The Missing Manual, by David McFarland - ISBN: 0-596-00631-4. (I think it may be the Third Edition?) I am using this book to teach myself Dreamweaver MX 2004, so for my personal interest/learning, I am not using it in a commercial sense to create a "live" website.I am trying to access the example files mentioned on page 25 of the book. The book refers to www.sawmac.com/dwmx2004/ to download the files, but entering this web address produces a 404 "file not found" message. Can anyone help me find the example files to download?Regards Peter Olsen

when i finally installed dreamweaver i got some firewall message about node.js or something and due to me being a regular person i didnt read jack squat and pressed allow access and when i opened a template it crashed, so i opened it again and now its just instantly crashing. any fix for this?

The code for my table begins: <table class="table table-bordered table-sm">    <tbody>        <tr>            <td class="summary_left_col">Difficulty</td>            <td class="summary_right_col"><strong>3 </strong>Intermediate</td>        </tr> The font sizes in my table are fine on the screen, but I need to reduce the size for printing. In the CSS for @217338 print I include: .summary_left_col {font-size: 9pt;}.summary_right_col {font-size: 10pt;} but those statements do not have any affect. I assume that the problem is that the "table-sm" is over-riding. Can you tell me what I should do to adjust the font size? Thank you. Marcus Libkind  

I have C5 and installed Dreamweaver CC trial. Right away I see my CPUs running 50%+.  After some investigation I found Adobe background apps running. I forced shutdown and the usage dropped. I see this problem on the web goes back a few years.  My question is since I will not use the CC can I remove / disable CC and just use Dreamweaver? Right now I have CC blocked and DW still runs OK. Will it continue if I suscribe??  Thanks for the help.

This is so #()$*  porked from CS 6.    I just want to do a global find and replace of specific text in my documents to change a client's address.   I have tried basic and advanced and CS2021 doesn't find the text  although I have pasted it directly from a page.  This is the worst part of the "upgrade" and makes DW almost unusable for sitewide edits.     How in the heck to do you replace plain text? The dialog box asks for any tag and then if you use text it asks for source code, which is fine, but when I click replace it doesn't.  I am using replace contents, cause this has nothing to do with tags or attributes. I see people have been complaining about this for 2 years and the programmers can't seem to be bothered to fix it.

I have been making my own sites with Fusion for many years but it has not been updated since 2015 and I know I am missing out on many possibilities, particularly responsive\adaptive pages. I know what HTML looks like but that's about it. So I have armed myself with total CC and now I'm looking for a comprehensive course, from beginner to intermediate - Maybe beyond - At my own pace. W3Schools looks promising to me for an online course - Good option? Or is there something better?   Since our internet sucks rocks, I also need an offline PDF based course - Thinking of something like W3Schools but downloaded so I can study offline.  Suggestions will be appreciated. The Adobe training videos are good but way too limited. And most of the stuff on YouTube is really painful to watch. Thanks,Sean

Hello,I have a vertical side nav with subs that was expanding from center at 50%. I was having an issue with the menu expanding over content in the header so I changed the translateY(50%) to 100% which worked but now when expanding it's doing this glitchy jerky movement. Can someone help me? I've attached the html file. One other issue is that when on mobile the nav won't let you select a sub nav. My site sukur.info (hosted on the ucalgary website) displays fine -- all except for the sukur.info/index.htm file. I've tried "everything ....I'm using DW CS5.5 on a Mac running OS Mojave.Advice appreciatedNic

Good Morning, all. I have just installed DreamweaverCC and the code background is defaulting to what I call night mode (black background).   For me this is difficult to read.   How can I turn this off?   Thanks in advance for any assistance.
