Over the years I have always used Dreamweaver to develop websites. Fought for it and thrown other options out. After a short break, I've come back to it, to see that there are no Database options like there used to be. There are also none for building a shopping cart, which to me is fundamental for a lot of clients these days. The one or to extensions providing these options either have very low ratings or are very old. Are we been forced to let go and run with the likes of Magento, Woo Commerce etc ?

I need to download Dreamweaver CS6 but it's missing from the new CC management program. Does anyone know how to download direct or access the old CC program to regain access?

Hello Adobe (if you read this) and community!I've been using DW now and then. The last time in 2017, the latest version it had back then. It would always start with this and then exit: Later I updated to CC 2019, which I didn't use, but started today and it came up with the same message! The problem was reported years ago and still it's there. Best guess: my user folder is redirected to the company server. This is nothing unusual. While other Adobe tools have no problem, this one has. Looking in the redirected user path \\server\<some_path>\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe it has folders \Dreamweaver\20.0 and \Dreamweaver 2020 and \Dreamweaver 2020 Backups which the local path hasn't. The logical solution was to copy/sync these folder to the local path, so DW can find them, which it obviously doesn't in the redirected path. Means, the installation itself puts the files into the correct (redirected) path, but DW looks for them in the local path.Ok, after that I st

Hi all  I have skills with Dreamweaver CS3.5 and used loads with website design on various of project and now didnt use dreamweaver for almost 4 years till I was asked with the BIG project and I accepted. I thought Dreamweaver was simpler.  I have purchased full Dreamweaver annually plan and realised Adobe have made lots of changes in Dreamweaver and still using CS3.5 if I need bit of help like removing unneeded underline but I've managed to learn in new dreamweaver. One thing that buggering me is about word spacing - I want to keep the menu on top apart from other catalog -  for like this.   And the coding here  After few research - I discovered about the   and tried to apply this but the result that I wasn't have wanted.   What I have did wrong? If your going to have all these updates fix the plugin update so that I don't have to reload every single plugin when you release an update. What the heck. This is rediculous. Cloud management app updated and I didn't catch the auto update feature turned back on and now I have to spend hours possibly days locating and re-installingall the plugins and rebuild dreamweaver to my workflow. I mean why? It doesn't even carry over my dual screen layout settings???!!!  This is not a new issue with dreamweaver updates and you need to fix it. EXTREMLEY UPSET and looking for an alternative to this program because of this. I have a regustered copy of DW CS6 and am getting Apple mesages that this version will not be supported in the next OS upgrade.  Will Adobe support this version or must I no longer upgrade my Mac OS in order to continue using DW CS6 as I cannot afford the high monthly cost of the virtual DW now being offered online?

I used to use PVII page packs back in the 90's. I looked and not sure if the packs on thier website work with CC. This company looks pretty good for a template, but not sure if you can easily create new pages I used to code, but it has been 20 years and just need to get up a quick site for a service orginazation. Any suggestions for template that is plug and play?

 Working with Dreamweaver 2020 (v20.0) today, I noticed that Media Queries set from the < link > element with the "media" attribute (line 12 in the image below), do not appear in the Visual Media Queries Bar... only media queries that are built into the CSS file. Why?  Edit to add a better pic:

Our multimedia teacher is having an issue with Dreamweaver where images are not showing in live view of the website in a browser after they make the pages. I copied the website to the desktop and the images display fine. I was wondering if there is a security setting on a server preventing the images from showing? I took a few pictures as she was showing me. In the image, you will notice the little broken image link in the header but inspecting the source code leads back to the correct path on the server. When I moved everything to the desktop the images displayed fine.

Ansicht >>> Code zwischen beiden wählen. Ok, das ist nur ein Klick mehr, aber ich fand die Lösung früher einfacher.   Vielleicht ist die Lösung in den Einstellungen versteckt und ich habe sie nur nicht gefunden. Hi, I do website maintenance on a site developed in 2007, if you can believe. I have a new mac book pro and a new version of Dreamweaver but there are serious compatabilty issues. I have an old mac which limps along very slowly. Is it possible to get an older version of dreamweaver so I can still maintain this site. Thank you for you time and any advice you might haveMaryann

I am running Dreamweaver CS4, which I think goes back at least a decade. I know, move on. But it has worked well until recently. Problem: when I edit a webpage on my computer and attempt to upload it, it doesn't make it - no change, no denial window. when I visit File Zila or File Manager at Verio I can find the file and they (Verio) can upload it, but I can't. The path is the same in Dreamweaver as it is at Verio and File Zilla - it's as if I am living in a parallel, but unconnected, universe. Clue: I used to have what appeard to be duplicate folders on my hard drive, User, me, the website folders . . .. now there is only one set. I have been advised that I mayh have retained the computer User files, but not the program User files. Does that make any sense? Does anyone have a clue how I can do whatever, so that uploads are possible?

Any recommendations for the repair or replacement of Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 on a Windows 10 OS?  The program opens, but it immediately shuts down when trying to open a page not available on the DW opening page, calling a file, try linking to a file, etc.

I'm trying to use the repeating region for a set of accordians which is currently working. Now I'm trying to get it setup to where the first accorion tab is open when coming to the page. I am thoroughly confused by my website. We have a pop-up alert on our home page that is supposed to show one time every four hours per unique user ID. You MUST click out of the alert box to continue using the website. No problems so far. However, once a user clicks on ANY link on our home page (to an internal page or an external site), when they come back to our home page, none of our links will work. It's as though our home page is a .jpg image just sitting there! I use DW because I do not have an indepth knowledge of coding languages, so trying to locate the bit of code that may be causing this has turned into a nightmare for me. The problem exists across all browsers. Any and all suggestions as to what is going awry are appreciated! Using DW Cloud 2020 on a Win 7 platform (I know...updating to Win 10 as soon as IT gets the lead out!). Thanks! Susan  

HelloIn a few of my web pages created 10 years ago I used Wimpy Player to play MP3 audios. Found out that Wimpy Player will not function in Mozilla. I need a certainty that the lecture talks will play without a glitch on any browser. Looking at several sites there were many listings of the best HTML5 audio players. Also found out that I could use HTML 5 audio and/or video tags. I am uncertain what is a better option. All that is needed is for the visitor to the page to see that there is a lecture talk available - and a simple click would begin the playing of the asset. Let me know what would be a good fit.I use Dreamweaver CS6.Thanks!

I've using Win10. I think the DW app is installed - I updated it yesterday. I'm signed into CC. I didn't have trouble opening DW last week. I've tried clicking on my Shortcut and, on the exe file in WinEx, and on the site's index file. Nothing seems to open the program. When I click on the Shortcut in Programs, I get a quick "explosion," then nothing happens. Suggestions?
