Dreamweaver keeps breaking my template

A couple of wesks ago I posted that Dreamweaver broke my HTMLI received a very helpful answer that these two lines in the <head> of my template were causing a conflict:<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../bootstrap/3/css/bootstrap.min.css" />    <script type="text/javascript" src="../bootstrap/3/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>- so I commented them out and all was wonderful until yesterday morning when they suddenly popped up again although I hadn't even opened the template.They've even embedded themselves inside the editable areas of the <head> on my pages and whatever I do I cannot get rid of them!Every time I either delete or comment them out - as soon as I save the template or individual page they immediately appear again.Can anybody help PLEASE?  It's driving me to distraction and has basically broken a very important client site.Many thanks for any help.

Bad eyesite Font view in Local/Remote enlarge?

I am new to Dreamweaver and do not have good eyesite. Is it possible to enlarge the view for Local/Remote Server inside Dreamweaver, (the files that I am working with) Like you do in a browser I would just us Ctrl +.Thank you,

Dreamweaver 2019 & 2020 freezes in live mode with embedded autoplay video

[Topic edited  by moderator for clarity.]   Anyone else have this issue or know a fix? I have a website that opens fine in 2018, but freezes (and stays frozen) when I open the index.htm file in Split View, with there being a YouTube video as the background. Removing the code it opens fine. Dreamweaver CS5 FTP issue

Should have updated to DW 6 some years ago but old and not doing much. - Anyway, am unable to reach the server of Ionos for my 5 or so sites. I'm trying to use Filezila... and appear to be reaching the 1 & 1 server. Is there an alternative to Dreamweaver as I now simply want to reach my site at 1 & 1 to stay in control and probably take down over the next 6 months or so - I'm getting quite old and it is getting a lot beyond me. Is ther an "FTP app" that might fit into DW 5. I started with, I seem to recall, a free copy of DW3 on the front of a PC/Web Magazine many many years a go.   May I say thanks in anticipation and hope I with the right community

Do dreamweaver CC sites still work without dreamweaver?

I'm a student making a website with an insanely low budget of  $20.00 and I am planning on using Adobe Dreamweaver and the rest of the Creative Cloud suite on the free trial for a week(yes I am going to make a website in a week) and I am planning on not buying or taking any payment plan-I am just gonna use the software for free then remove it when the trial ends. My question is will the website I make in dreamweaver still work after I remove Dreamweaver from my PC? Because once I finish the site then I am use Microsoft Azure DNS and Microsoft Azure CDN to host it so will I still need Dreamweaver for to keep the site running?If you see this post after December 1st of 2019, then don't reply because by then my deadline will be over.

v2020: Live Preview in browser without confirming of saving the file

Hi,after years of using CS6 it's the first time in v2020 – using the live browser preview. Thought, DW saves changes in the background and reloads the web page in the browser in the background, too. But each time, eg after typing some chars and making a short break, I will be asked to save my changes:That's not the "sense" of this function, isn't it?  thanks a lot!mycc

[Image Map] Coords

Hello Developers, I need assistance with an example: coords="230,303, 800" I had an email template made for me and I am trying to figure out how they determined the coords. The code made the phone number and address clickable, but I'm unsure how they determined the coords. Can someone help me with this?   [Topic edited by moderator.]

Template problem with tags moving in child pages

I am having heacdache-inducing problems with Dreamweaver and the templates feature.I have created updated templates that will be deployed next year, but have had problems with the previous templates as well. I seem to have two problems happening.The first is where if I save my template file after making changes, for some reason when it updates the child pages, it places    at the very start of the document, before <!DOCTYPE html>. This of course causes problems. This occurs without me even needing to open the child pages in Dreamweaver. The second problem is if I do open a child page in Dreamweaver, for some reason the </head> tag gets moved to before the  tag. So on the new template it goes at the very start of the document, and on the old template the  is in a spo

phone display from website different to preview in dreamweaver

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked before but I've looked and can't find a similar problem. I have almost completed my website which has responsive changes for each screen size. It looks exactly how I want it to when I use the preview function in Dreamweaver on my phone but when I upload it to my host, it displays the media queries set up for my tablet screen layout (around 900px) and the header image doesn't fill its allocated box. I set the website up as phone view and used media queries to adjust for bigger screens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Missing Developer.xml

I am unable to change the workspace to Developer mode because the Developer.xml file is blank. Not sure how this happened but how can I get it recreated?

Dreamweaver crashes when saving

Up to date Dreamweaver CC running on MacBook Pro (15" 2016) w/ macOS High SierraI work in Split mode.On opening Dreamweaver shows the Design but takes a lot of time to display the code side of the screen.Dreamweaver randomly crashes when saving html files.Anybody's having the same problem ?Thanks

Synchronization fails (all the time)

I'm running Dreamweaver 20, build 15196. Remotely, I've got a plain old WordPress site with which I desire to synchronize with my local machine. Synchronizing has never been a particuarly efficient or reliable process under Dreamweaver, but now it's completely broken: if I try to synchronize my entire site (getting all new files and deleting any local files not found on the remote server), DW will properly give me a file list, but when I tell it to act on that list (getting and deleting as necessary) it will crash. Every time. I've even tried to isolate the problem by only getting new files or just deleting any orphan local files, but it will crash, every time. I've even generated a file, declined action on every file but one....and it still crashes. I've sent crash reports; is there an obvious place I can look at a log to see what Dreamweaver is tripping up on?

Animate project converted to HTML - font style missing

Hi, I created a project in Animate that my teacher converted to HTML, but the font, Coquette, has changed to some other font. Since it was origionally and Animate project, I can't see a way to simply do something like this: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_font.asp#sa_src=web-messaging because the text is not actually in the html code for me to do that with. I tried using a link to the font: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/egx5yro.css">, but i couldn't get that to work at all.   Here is the Dreamweaver file:  https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn%3Aaaid%3Ascds%3AUS%3A0f6fec26-0770-4b8c-be02-e3b73f5979fa My last attept to use the link above is still in there.   I am stuck.  I have no idea how to get this font back in there for my logo and the text on the gravestones. Any help or advice would be gretly appreciated. Kind regards, Bernadette

How Do I turn off the Quick Property Inspector in Dreamweaver 2020?

I've just downloaded Dreamweaver 2020 and the design view doesn't work, it just shows a blank page, so I have to do a 50/50 split screen with code/live view. The problem is that live view means that the Quick Property Inspector is working and it puts a yellow box around whatever text I click on, which is really useless when I want to copy and paste some text onto the page because it pastes it into the paragraph and strips the formatting so instead of being able to add 2 or 3 extra paragraphs, it adds a huge block of text to the paragraph I've clicked on. And this Quick Property Inspector WON"T let me put my cursor between paragraphs either.  Not only that but when I click on a paragraph the yellow box jumps back up the page, one paragraph at a time so the only paragraph it lets me work on is the first one. No matter how many times I scroll down and try and edit a paragraph, the property inspector box moves one-by-one back up the paragraphs to the top.  This whole th

Errors in Dreamweaver output tab - ERROR: 'xxxxxx' is defined but never used. [no-unused-vars]

I have 3 functions in a .js file that I absolutely use in my HTML. However, I get the errors below. Is it because the functions are not called within the .js file? How can I suppress the errors?

Live View Dreamweaver CS6 not working

Hi,  Live View has decided to stop working only get a report along the top informing me 'Flash Plugin was not found' and to install 'Firefox Flash Plugin' from www.adobe.com'.  Well, it is and has been.  Just redownloaded just in case but still no change.  I have also changed the default Browser to Safari with no difference.  Any previous issues or knowledge of this problem or solutions please.Thanks

Show open documents vertically rather than in tabs or seperate windows

I can't find a way to get Dreamweaver to show my open documents (pages) vertically (in a side bar). The only choice seems to be in tabs (and then I can't see all my open documents without scrolling right) or in seperate windows (which is very messy). Brackets and Sublime list document vertically - making it very easy to see all the open docs / pages. Thank you
