Dreamweaver

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, I can't for the life of me figure out how to use Bootstrap! I need to do a simple site for a client. I've been to the Bootstrap 4 Get Started page, but I don't understand anything! It gives examples of code and then tells you to try it yourself. Try what? What do I do? Nothing I do to the code in the examples does anything. I went to the Adobe tutorials but I can't find any help there either.I opened a new document in Dreamweaver with a Bootstrap starter template, and I can't figure out how to do anything with that either, such as just put an image inside the jumbotron container. I'm not a neophyte - I started building web sites years ago with Page Mill, then graduated to Dreamweaver. But it's been a while since I've done any web design. I've always created sites visually, as a graphic designer, not a coder. I've edited html and css by trial and error and used to be able to figure out how to do what I wanted to do. Hi,I’m having issues with Dreamweaver which automatically alters the width values of my image when I change/swap an image.The width value is set to 100% (width=100%) as the image is held in a responsive div container. When I come to alter the image (double click on the image in design view) or alter the “Src” in the properties tab the new image is automatically changed from the 100% value to an absolute value (400). ../image/example1.jpg" alt="image 1" width="100%" />changes to ../image/example2.jpg" alt="image 2" width="400" />I can alter the width manually, but it is inconvenient and easy to miss. How do I stop this automatic feature in Dreamweaver?Thanks for reading my question

Just for advanced notice the iPad is moving to be more aligned with the desktop OS than iOS.This probably means that developing sites, (rwd, pwa) may require more thought, (even using a mouse is an option) so it is probably worth looking at what is happening yourself, especially the 'desktop-class browsing'.I don't have full details, (Chrome books dev site, is also discussing this) but see -https://www.apple.com/uk/newsroom/2019/06/the-new-ipados-powers-unique-experiences-designed-for-ipad/and just in case you are wondering, this is what brought my attention to this -https://developer.apple.com/documentation/safari_release_notes/safari_13_beta_release_notes

Every time the color selector box pops up if I am typing in an HTML color code, or attempting to change the color on the CSS settings panel my dreamweaver completely crashes. This has only been happening for a couple weeks and happen EVERY time I try. It's really starting to get annoying. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? I am completely updated I believe. My adobe application manager doesn't say I have an update and I have auto update enabled.

I tried to get into Dreamweaver and got the message below.  It s a licensed copy which I bought years ago. I logged into my Adobe account and went into chat.  The agent said he can't find my account.  It certainly should be there under my adobe ID which is the email I logged in with.  He finally suggested I post my problem here.  I just need it to support one website, but wasn't able to get any help there.  Any ideas or am I completely screwed?

Hello, New to Github and trying to use dreamweaver to connect withI have already cloned a repository, i can push and pull, not really a big deal.However, when i created a branch just now on the Github website (named "Style-optimizations") things got a bit more complicated for me.I manage to pull the files from this branch, but i am starting to wonder what exactly the "branch" dropdown on the git-panel does?? (please find dropdown with "optimization" in image below)The newly created branch did not appear there, i manually created one in dreamweaver named "optimization" with "manage branches" dialog.Now in my Git-panel i have "Master" and "optimization" but selecting these does nothing to my local folders in my case.Is this normal behavior or am i missing something? Hi, I have puchased long ago a copy of DW CS4 which I still seldom use, and is ok for what I need. Now I have bought a new pc and I have troubles in migrating the software.I insert the cd, go through the installation process, insert the serial number, but then I get a message that this is an update for GoLive CS2 or 9 and that I have to write the serial number. Instead, when I bought it, I used to upgrade from GoLive 5.0. I still have GL 5.0 but its serial number isn't recognized.What shall I do?I tried contacting support via chat, but they suggested me to ask on the forum since they have no information for an old software like this.Thank you for any helpElena

A big issue like this is unacceptable when when it lasts for too long. So, I'm waiting for the solving from DW's team. A few days ago, there was an update of DW. None of the common issues have been resolved, neither this one.I'am an developper (swift, php, c++, etc...), for a long time. I also use DW for a long time. Some of its issues are here for a long time. But now it's really affects my productivity. If I sold software to my customers as many issues as DW, they would ask to be refunded. And they would be right. I'm tired of fighting against a team that prefers to add features that solve old and common issues. OK, all the big business development teams are doing the same thing.... It sells better, i guess.

Hello all,We're moving away from a credit card processor that allowed us to set a base shipping cost, per order, and then add per item costs to the order.  This method was very effective for us, and we had been using that service for about 17 years.  Sadly, this service is now failing badly, and we were asked to go to PayPal.  The problem with PayPal is there does not appear to be any way to calculate shipping as we've done in the past.  Has anyone modified their recent Add to Cart button code to accommodate this method of adding shipping?  The only thing we can find about it is posts about having two lines of code, one for shipping and one for shipping2.  However, this solution appears in a very old version of their button, and we're not sure if it can work with their current code.If anyone has any ideas, please let us know.TIA

I have the latest version of DW and today, I tried to edit a document in Design mode but it wouldn't let me. I could highlight a word and overwrite it, I could delete a word but could type a new word. I quit and restarted DW but to no effect.Alan

All of a sudden everything is tiny. I can barely see the name of files, menu, etc. Can anyone help me? Pleaseeeee and thank you
