Let me be even more specific : Say I have half-a-dozen DIVs nested inside one another, and each has a different background image; then I will have 6 images to load... but what happens if the outer DIV - and only the outer div - is set to display:none?All the child DIVs would still be there in the HTML - and their display is visible - but their container would have its display set to none... are those 6 images still being loaded in the background, in this context?Or just the 5 inner ones? (even though we can't see them and the bandwidth is wasted)Or none?(ie, if the container is set to display:none, then nothing inside gets processed, and nothing gets loaded)Thanks!PS: Could this behavior be different from browser to browser?

Dreamweaver experts please help,i'm having trouble with the server setup menu in DW.  It will not connect to remote server.  I get the error message.  SiteGround has confirmed my credentials are correct.  Notice in the menu box that the Username is not lined up in menu box.  Could this be the problem and how to fix.  thanks for your input....jw

I am working on a redesign of my own personal website and I cannot get the website to do what I want it to do, and then I do. I get excited and hit "save" and then the CSS goes back to where it was before I messed with it. I have tried opening the webpage in a browser separate from Dreamweaver and I still cannot see the changes that I have made.I have been through my code with a fine tooth comb, comparing it line by line with another website of mine that is doing what I am trying to replicate, and I cannot find the source of my problem.Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

I purchased and activated and ssl certificate for my site.  They said I had one more step:"301 RedirectTo complete the SSL certificate process another step is required. I invoked this slider from W3 on my site. Problem is... it appears for 1 second and disappears. When I click the little circle/dot controls or the arrow controls, the image does appear; but again, for only 1 second. I suspect it is something to do with the firing of the javaScript. - This slider is not the auto-change picture variation, but the version where you can purposefully cycle through as a user.I put the script before close of </body> which is fairly typical. I am rebuilding a workstation (upgrading to Windows 7) and just reinstalled Dreamweaver MX2004.  The install works fine but when I open the software for the first time, I am prompted to activate the license through a server that is no longer active. Also, the telephone support line seems to be not working as well (very disappointed in that). I'm a valid licensee - just want to use my purchased software for simple web editing. Any specific instructions for a work around to get this older software working would be greatly appreciated.

Every 16 seconds Dreamweaver 18.2 blinks my iMac and secondary screen, seems like Dreamweaver is refreshing itself, this closes any active drop window or auto fill in progress and removes cursor from current typing position. If I turn off Dreamweaver this stops so it is not my computer. This is massively slowing down my workflow. Is there a solution?

Was working on multiply html files, and managed to somehow to make the class id + sign to add id on things disappear!? In desperate need for help to get this back on this html file. Inside the Dreamweaver's user preferences folder (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2019\en_US\Configuration), now there is a folder called "Brackets" and inside of it there are the same structure of the default Brackets' default installation folder. Does it that mean I can now use Brackets features inside Dreamweaver? After doing some maintenance on my site such as changing the Copyright date, I thought that there has to be a way of simplifying the process.I have over 1,000 or so pages and so a template would be the most logical thing to use rather than going through all the pages and manually changing the date from 2018 to 2019.So my question is this. How can I create and link to every single page a template for this purpose please? Hello!I have been using DW CS6 for many years, and on F12 always got the preview on the testing server (which also is the remote server).I have now installed DW CC 2018, and there I get the preview on a local site http://127.0.0.1:65498/preview With the title "Device Preview".I have checked the old (CS6) and new (CC) configurations, and cannot find the difference. The site definitions are exported from CS6 and imported into CC through  XML *.ste - files.I would very much like the preview to happen on the remote site.ThanksMichael

Tried opening DW 2019 this morning, and that empty dialog window with Adobe in the title that's been popping up on the first start of each day (just what causes that window is unknown) hung. The program will not start at all now. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same result. Booted in between, no change. Nothing was changed by me on DW, and I was working in it yesterday, no problem. I also tried forcing preferences reset, no help.This is the reported error:  Problem Event Name:    BEX64  Application Name:    Dreamweaver.exe  Application Version:    19.0.0.11193  Application Timestamp:    5ba43399  Fault Module Name:    StackHash_1dc2Then tried launching cc 2018, and that failed because of a windows error:"the application was unable to start correctly (0xc00007b)". Uninstalling and reinstalling got that working.Running Windows 7 64 bit. If anyone has an idea on how to get back to bein
