Dreamweaver

Im new to DW 2018. Im playin around building some practice sites. Ive studied a lot of videos and searched the web up and down. I built a few website with a title name of. I built another one called. And another one called. At this point all the titles in ,html file  are as I named them. When I click the drop down to select one of the other two site to view the html file all my titles change to the first websites html file name "". When I view the sites in goggle chrome all the titles are are as I named them originally. Sum it up the titles on all sites change only in the .html files to the first site title name. HiI am a bit of a PHP/MySQL noob and i am having trouble getting my MySQL database to work on my remote server (it works on my local server).Locally i have:Connection Name: localMySQL server: localhostUser Name: rootPassword: rootDatabase: wbgtRemotely I have:Created a database using:username: wbgt (although it displays it as "web100-wbgt")password: rootI have also imported the MySQL database on the remote server.When I try to access any page that uses the MySQL database it comes up blank!Any Ideas?Thanks in advance for your helpEddie

I have been using a template for years to update pages in multilevel subdirectories.  It has always kept the proper notation to maintain links.  With the latest modification all the links are broken.  For example a menu line in the dwt file is           <li><a href="index.htm">Home</a></li>                 originally produced a line of code for a page several directories down as          <li><a href="../../../../index.htm">Home</a></li>     now the line in the updated page becomes           <li><a href="index.htm">Home</a></li>Any idea why this occurred and how it can be fixed?

Hello,Is this possible and will it work or not? Let's say I have a website, but I'd like to have a folder within that site containing a completely different website - however, I would like this "sub-site" not to be crawled by bots / not to be followed.The rule of thumb is you add the robots.txt to the root of the site. By having this robots.txt file in the root of the sub-site, does that count as root or not? - Will this sub-site unintentionally be crawled?Let me know for sure. And also what other suggestions you have for me to achieve this?Thank you.

I'm a little fuzzy on how this all works, so grace needed. But how long do I have to keep html files?  I have them on my computer from back in 2012. Can I delete after so long?

Hello All,When i am working with css file and I try to use the real time preview I get a message stating that real time preview is only available for HTML and PHP files. What should I do to resolve this issue? Thanks.

Up until today, DW was working fine but this morning it starts to open then just closes. I have turned my PC off and restarted but to no avail. Any clues as to what may have happened?

Hello again...My work is almost finished: Burlington County Area of NA / Home page ...have a few more questions to help me wrap things up (which I'll ask in separate threads)For this question...I have a MEETINGS Page which has Tabs for the various days of the week.On the site's Home Page...I need to also have the meetings for the particular day it happens to be, appear in the left column (TODAY'S MEETINGS) automatically, each day...exactly as they are listed on the MEETINGS Page (meaning I won't be required to list the meetings by hand each morning; & then re-upload the home page).Can this be done in Bootstrap...???thanx,mark4man

Anyone got a tried and tested find and replace regex for removing empty lines in DW 2018 please?This seems to find empty lines:^(?:[\t ]*(?:\r?\n|\r))+But if I leave the replace field empty and click replace all - nothing happens.

Hi,Am i the only one that experiences that the new Dreamweaver is extremely slow. When i open a standard bootstrap 3 design, i takes 7 seconds to open. And when the document is opened, it lags when i scroll in the source code - I only view source code - no preview/WYSIWYG. It feels lagging as if you start windows in safe mode without driver for graphic adapter.I installed Dreamweaver CC2015.3 It opens the same document in 1 second. No lag and as fast as you would expect an text editor to be 🙂Is it just my setup? or is anyone else have the same issues?Im using a 8 core Xeon with GTX1060 graphic adapter.

Dreamweaver CC not launching.  Stuck on "installing files"  Trashed preference on a Mac, also uninstalled and reinstalled and still not working/launching. I wish GoLive was still available.. it was perfect for the type of sites I make.  Any suggestions?

My site's server just changed its sshd configuration to remove insecure algorithms and Dreamweaver (v18.0 on a Mac with High Sierra 10.13) can no longer access it via SFTP. It does not support FTP.  I have the list of my server's supported SSH Ciphers, Kex Algorithms and MACs. How can I find out what ssh standards Dreamweaver supports?  Is there a way (e.g., a config file) that I can update Dreamweaver to ensure it uses one of our supported crypto standards for SFTP?

I'm trying to trouble shoot an issue with my template.  This is a project that isn't updated often, this issue I noticed when my Dreamweaver version was updated.  Since this project is not updated very often I can't say which version it worked in and which version caused it not to work.  I am currently using DW 18.0When I open my template file, I am removing some outdated code.  When I save the .dwt file, I get "This template doesn't have any editable regions."  But there are in fact many editable regions.  Snippey it below of my template file. Hello! I am having trouble making my phone number larger in a shared template. The link is shared at the top of all of my pages. When I try editing the font size it doesn't work. Any suggestions for code? I tried putting the font size in both but it's not working. First, thank you to those who responded to my previous post about viewing a new webpage in DW. I am learning HTML and DW. I am trying to do a grid layout. I got a rudimentary piece of code, both the HTML and the CSS, from a book. It worked fine. But, later in the book, when it is talking about advanced topics such as named grid areas, it tends to only give CSS examples and NOT the related HTML. I am at a loss in trying to get grid areas code to work. Hi everybody,I am struggling to find out how to correctly align an image in a simple paragraph, any help would be appreciated.I have placed a small image along with text wrapped inside a section tag - see below. The image precedes the text and is set to float right. Looks just fine when viewed on a large screen, but when viewed on a cell phone the image doesn’t reside in the center of the viewport, rather it’s off to the right. Previously we only needed a username and password to connect to our Linux webservers and this was set up easy enough in the Sites area of Dreamweaver.  Next week, all of our webservers will require SmartCard login authentication.  We currently use CS 6. Does Dreamweaver now support this?  Might be able to get an upgrade if so.
