Dreamweaver

Ok so I have an issue where in the newer version of adobe I can't insert the image url with the image, this is for emailing purposes for an event and every time I tired to insert the web url  the image would disappear or will say file not found, so I went in to insert image and inputted the file web url then the file name and then it give me an air message saying that the file is not found. Now I am just editing a webpage for a friend and I have never had this happen to me before it there a way to insert the web url into the image?

Hello, not sure who is gonna read this but hopefully it gets to someone that can help push these features into Dreamweaver or help me find a solution into adding these in because I can not find any available plugins. Dreamweaver has come a long way and it has become the best tool to my knowledge to do web development on. Recently I was following some tutorials and to make sure I followed along well I used Visual Code for the purpose of the videos. During that period I grew to love two features that make coding that much more bearable. I listed them below in hopes of anything to come out of this. I've been looking all over, but I cannot find the "Sort Table" menu under "Commands". Actually "Commands" its empty.Where can I find this menu?Thanks.

Hi, I have recently added a contact form to my website, but it doesnt seem to send the message to my email when i click the 'submit' button. Hello All,I was looking to apply this image overlay hover from this site Tryit Editor v3.5 I realized when the Bootstrap CSS is applied to it, the small blue overlay that scrolls up is partially visual but it's supposed to be hidden until you hover over the image.   When I remove the Bootstrap CSS, it works great...But with the CSS....it causes that partial view. Any idea how I can hide that partial over until I hover over the image.Thanks.

I updated to DW 2018 and wanted to apply the settings from the previous version. The only way to that is by syncing with prefs from the old version. After installing nothing happened about initiating that process, so I started sync. Then a dialog came up (after about 10 min!) telling me there was data from a previous version, so I clicked the button to download that sync data. Nothing happened except the spinning blue circle for another 10 min, then the little blue sync arrows appeared on the sync icon at the top right. I waited over two hours and nothing changed. I closed and restarted DW and tried re-syncing. It froze and I needed to force quit. Tried again, and the same again. I signed out and signed back into CC and I uninstalled and reinstalled DW, and started all over again and the same thing happened again as described at the beginning. DW 2018 is broken.

I have a table set up and have the BG color and so forth ready but cannot figure out how to make a text link inside of the table have stylized link effects in it. Here is what I have. I thought that because I included the link styling in the #mm part it would work. Background:  I recently had Apple service install a solid state drive on my MacBook Pro and reinstall OS Sierra.  Then I restored by machine from backup.The next time I attempted to use Dreamweaver 5.5 to update some files on my host server:(1) I can connect to the server(2) I can list my files(3) I can get (pull) files(4) When I attempt to Put a file I get an error (file missing; no permission, reconnecting to server, etc)Then it gets weird:(1) If I connect through my neighbors WIFI connection everything works ok (Different Service Provider)(2) If I connect through the hot-spot on my iPhone everything works ok (yet another Service Provider)A Service Provider issue, right?  Unfortunately no; I just changed Service Providers to match my neighbors, still have the same problem as described .. if I switch back to my neighbors or my hot-spot all works again.Any suggestions?Thanks!Dennis

I mostly work on the code side of my split view.  The new update puts my code view on the right side of the screen and is visually difficult to navigate because it causes me to look backwards.   It is like reading Hebrew and since I am on a US version of CC, I expect to work from right to left.The vast majority of the upgrades seem to be geared towards WYSIWYG so it is beyond my comprehension why Adobe would force a new default and cripple coders.Is there a way to move my code view to the left side as it has been since CS3 (or earlier)Upgrades that take a half a day to figure out are really getting old!

I know how to center an image with bootstrap .center-block but how do I center an image on a whole page?

I have followed all of the support instructions to get a new serial number for my old (but still perfectly functional) copy of Dreamweaver CS3. I have uninstalled the old version and re-installed the version that was offered for download from the support pages. At no stage during the installation was I asked to input the new serial number. I have re-opened the new version of CS3 and it is still trying to re-validate. It is unable to do so. How can I continue using the product?

im new to dreamweaver 2017 so a complete novice, I was tasked with updating website after someone came in and designed our website using dreamweaver back in 2013, and I had successfully added text and images before in dreamweaver 2015, however I must stress im not a web designer and am not familiar with coding or HTML I basically just copy the coding that the designer set up on the original website in 2013 and unfortunately can no longer contact this person.im now trying to change a image on one of the HTML web pages, i have copied the original files from the ftp onto a memory stick and have opened the HTLM page from the memory stick but no images appear in either design view or live view even though I have also copied the images folder over onto the memory stick, when I hover over the code for the image it states image not foundthe strange thing is I can add an image from the memory stick onto the html page but cannot change an image, please can someone help

An example of copy and paste would be lets say I have 200 pages.If I have '2009 to 2017' on 200 pages and I wants to change that to '2009 to 2018' on all 200 pages, how would I do this?I use to be able to do it by clicking command C then command F but this no longer works.

Dear Dreamweaver and Business Catalyst experts, Hello, I have a Web Design class in my school, and we primarily use Muse. For this assignment to be graded, it is necessary that we upload from Muse to BC. I don't like Muse. I make all of my web sites in Dreamweaver, and, when the time came to upload them, I didn't know how. I looked up articles, but I couldn't find an answer to my simple question. Is it possible to directly upload sites into Business Catalyst? My problem is this, I want to upload a 4 page website onto business catalyst. 4 HTML files, a CSS file, and some images. I have my images and CSS files online, is there a way to upload the HTML files without creating new pages in BC? Sincerely, with question, Jeremy. Just moved from PC to Mac at work.  Editing an HTML file, I keep getting an error "Sorry, you can't delete the root folder."  But all I'm trying to do is delete a line of text (with a couple of links in it).  After a few minutes of delete-a-character-get-an-error, delete-another-character-get-error ...  I got it down to a single quotation mark that it simply will not delete.Does anybody know WTH?If I had any hair left I would be tearing it out.

Need to be able to select newer local files for uploading after site wide update.  Can't seem to locate the function which will slect only the updated local files in CS6.  Synchronization doesn't seem to work!?Any ideas please?

Building a 'how-to' guide for a small business, which comprises around 100 documents (PDF, Excel, Word - to be opened in their respective applications) which are stored on a network drive. Wanting to build a simple but impressive looking front-end offline site (to be opened in a browser) to access these documents (by category). Do you have any suggestions around the best application to build this in? I'm fairly tech-literate but not able to go beyond basic coding. Have the whole Adobe CC suite, hence why the question here.Thanks!

My Windows 10 crashed following an update and I had to reset the computer, reinstalled Windows 10 and all other software including Dreamweaver CS5. I have also just taken over another website which was originally coded in FileZilla and this appears to have had a testing server installed. In trying to create a testing server I have installed XAMMP but I am having difficulty understanding the relationship between Apache, MSQL PHP and the new website. Should my files be in a subfolder of XAMMP? They are currently in C\:SBS with subfolders for public_html and www (which appear identical apart from the latter lacking the public_html files.
