hey, currently I learn html and css, grids especially . Unfortunately dreamweaver does not show any grids in preview mode. Is there any plausible reason why? In chrome browser it works perfectly fine. Thanks!

I've just started using Dreamweaver and PHP and MySQL and i was following the article "Setting up a PHP development environment for Dreamweaver" and everything was going fine...just according to the writer, but in the end when i tried to connect the database in dreamweaver, it gave this error "Your PHP server doesn't have the MySQL module loaded or you can't use the mysql_(p)connect functions." ive tried to solve this problem by many ways but its not getting solved. kindly help me!!

I have this issue that started a few days ago: my "index.html" page changes to "index.html.bak.bak" while on the server. I use Dreamweaver CS3 for this particular site, but I also have Dreamweaver 2017 (I prefer to use the CS3 version- been using it for years and can't let go The changing of the index happens after I upload it to the server- usually about several hours later (even my computer is off- so can't imagine I'm "sleep typing"). I've been running this news site for years, and have my set way of updating it and uploading. Never had an issue until Monday. I then would delete this newly created "index.html.bak.bak" and replace it with my undamaged "index.html"What appears on the homepage is the basic layout with images/graphic, but all in gibberish. The site is in Russian and none of the other pages deal with this issue on the site. I was using Windows Cyrillic encoding, but changed to Unicode. Hi everybody,I built several web sites using templates with Dreamweaver 2015. Unfortunately my hard drive went and I was forced to get a new Mac Mini, but I had all the files backed up on my external drive so nothing was lost. I then downloaded and installed the latest version of Dreamweaver CC 2017.0.1 along with several plug-ins. Now, when I try to work on the existing templates Dreamweaver says there are no defined sites, which is ridiculous because in order to create a template you have to first define a site. When I try to save changes the child pages don't reflect the changes. When I try to access the plug-ins it won't allow me. It's as if all the sites have disappeared, or been lost. Any ideas on what could be wrong and how I can resolve this problem? The files were never modified, so that could not be the problem. I can't modify a single template, for any site I built.Thanks so much for any help you can provide.Mark

Ok, it's been 5 or 6 years since I worked in DW on a day to day basis. The UI has changed to radically it's difficult for this aging veteran to find where they have hidden most the of core functionality. My html editing needs are fairly primitive.It took me 15 minutes to find the properties element so I could format the html. Damn I feel old.Does DW support a more classic UI based on the way the app used to look?

Does anyone know if Dreamweaver CS4 is compatible with MAC OS 10.12 Sierra? (it does work okay with OS 10.11)

HiThere is issue whenever saving file as the application will freeze and hang for around 30 seconds.  I am savingto local file and just doing casual saves.  Already tried deleting the WinCache file, that did not work. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I Need some advice regarding Graphics Cards.I have been using CC now over a year but find my Adobe Apps are struggling with my PC. Have PC for seven years, inside is I7 but my graphics card is GeForce 650 I an wondering if this is now to slow for CC and maybe causing my Adobe Apps to crash or react to slowly. Example, building a html & CSS website in Dreamweaver when I go to view in browser both can't seem to cope at the same time.Not sure if Graphics card is the issue or there's something I am not seeing.If graphics card is the issue any recommendation as which is suitable for CC.Any help would be great. I have a web page that used to work, but no longer does. It uses the dynamic select/value structure that I built using an earlier version of Dreamweaver.  (I can't find that option in DW now. I'm using DW CC).  It's been four or five years since I built this application; I decided to go back and convert it to HTML5 and now it doesn't work :-(.  Has anything changed in PHP or HTML5 that would make this no longer functional?The page content is shown below. Dreamweaver automatically switches to split mode when I create a new php file.

Hey everyone,Recently, a coworker's Dreamweaver has begun adding bizzare amounts of tabbing on every line of code in every html file she works in, and it's driving us all crazy, because every time we open a file after she's saved them, they're incredibly difficult to read and work in, and trying to fix them wastes a lot of time.So, here's an screenshot of one of our webpages:And this is what it looks like whenever she re-saves the file:She doesn't have to even do anything to the page, she just has to save it. This happens whether she doesn't do anything to the code, and saves it as a new html document, and also if she simply adds a single space somewhere in the code, and saves the file as itself. I've worked in Dreamweaver since it was owned by Macromedia, and I've never seen this happen before.One interesting thing about this, is that her Dreamweaver only ever adds all this extra spacing within the <Article> tag.
