HiHave a couple of question... I was told by a host company that I cant upload images with the following extension...img_1.jpg and img-1.jpgIs this true? and what is the right way of saving images and code on a web page? or what should I stay away from.. thanks a lot

I have been a long time user of Adobe products. Dreamweaver, Illustrator and PhotoShop. On January 17, 2017 I decided to upload the 30 day version of Dreamweaver. After spending countless hours on it I canceled the trial version on February 6, 2017. You billed for $119.19 for this. So I sent a rejection to my credit card company. Today I received a notice from my cc company saying the charges I disputed are justified. Today I talked to you cs department. They said I had to cancel before 14 days. Dont understand Case Number 0221840223 I would hope this matter be cleared up. As I have been your customer for over 10 years. Dean Oshiro

Hi, i have a site that included a slideshow that lads images from an XML. on dreamweaver and preview, the site works perfectly, the slide show works and all images show up. however when you open one of the pages that included an xml slide show from the site folder on the computer, the slide show doesn't work? i have no idea what to since it work on the software and preview perfectly?does anyone know what the issue could be?

OK, just more or less finished a project for a client (after nearly 6 months back and forth) based on specific requirements - requirements that were right for my skillset and knowledge. Specifically they wanted to use Paypal as the payment gateway. Its a payment gateway I'm very familar with having produced several sites deploying it using IPN (Instant Payment Notification).The website code has all been written and tested and functions as expected - was just waiting for the Paypal email address from client to use - now they have at the last minute requested a different payment gateway be used, one that I'm not famliar with and have no desire to spent several hours, maybe days, reading through a lot of technical stuff trying to work out how to implement it within the existing coding. It could be easy, it could be beyond my skillset. On my previous laptop Windows 7 was my OS and CS3 (Yes I know... it's a prehistoric $800,- version) worked excellent.I choose to update the OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and CS3 still worked excellent.The harddrive (of my previous laptop) crashed so I bought a new one, with the latest specs and Windows 10.Installed CS3 thinking it would work fine.It doesn't. I have several issues with Dreamweaver (didn't had the time to test Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)My issue:If I make a new file in Dreamweaver, save this (f.i. index.html) and I upload this via  a ftp  address in a webbrowser In Dreamweaver I can make changes to this file but I can't save it under the old name (index.html).A prompt with "access denied" appears.To save it I have to rename it to index2.html.Strange thing is... that the old file (index.html) is completely vanished.I can't find it anywhere.If I do the same but use a ftp program (save and upload the file)... there is no problem.I can make as many changes as I

In the root of my project I have a starter page that I copy and then move to the required folder to start work on the new page.Dreamweaver asks if I want to Update the links and I select Update. The page has an image and the link to that image is correctly updated with the new relative path. The image has a link and Dreamweaver is writing that as an absolute path to the local drive.I cannot find a setting so that the path is rewritten as a relative path. Is there one please?Dreamweaver 2017

Hello, I would love some assistance. I am creating a site using one of Dreamweaver CC's templates. It looks the way I want it in design mode, and in the preview (see screen shot below). But when I upload it to http://new.adtsrc.org it shows up differently in the browser. Namely, the block of text does not cover the entire page and the individual services below are justified left instead of centered. Can anyone tell me why? Thanks!

I have a form and a script. when I put all nonsense like all a into the text fields (except the "sender email field") and put say any number at all the form works fine. AS soon as I try to put a real address into that field, the top of the form in the email fails to separate each line of input. Is there some reason as soon as I enter a street address or a real phone number into those areas, it makes the items above the line break all string together. I'd like to create a discussion in regards to both the Home page of a website and the About page.What is the difference between the Home page and the About page? Both should give information on what the site is about and the services provided by the business on both pages right?If there is a difference between the two, which page should have the information about the business and services on it?

I have created a web site using bootstrap dropdown navigation. On my Gallery page and on three other pages I have used Flexslider to make a slideshow. On the pages where the slideshows are included the dropdown elements of the navigation bar don't work although the other links do work. I suspect it could be caused by a hierarchy of css but despite experiments I have failed to solve it. We just got Dreamweaver CC 2017 deployed to us a couple weeks ago.  I've noticed that the File > Import > Word Document option is missing.  If I try to open it directly, open with from Windows, or drag-and-drop I get a message saying it can't open .docx files.  When I search help, I see this article which makes me think it should still be there.  Still works fine in my CS6 installation.  I've been searching and can't find anything about the option missing.  The guy in IT who ran the deployment doesn't know why it would be missing.  Anybody have an idea why this could be missing and how I can restore the option?Running Windows 10 Ent 64-bit and Office 2014 32-bit.

When I do a simple find/replace it adds two line breaks right after the newly replaced item, which messes up my code and reeeeeallllllly frustrates me as I have to go back and fix this EVERY TIME. Anybody else seen this issue? The two images below show my original code vs. the find/replace code. (Changed 16-1502 to 16-1501)

Hello,I have ha Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 now since my Windows XP days.  When I upgraded my computer to Windows 7, it still worked great, with just as much functionality.  I even put in on my Windows 10 laptop, and still it worked just as good, again with no diminished functionality.  A few days ago, Macromedia Dreamweaver, for some reason stopped working on my Windows 7 machine.  Every time I open it, I get : Please reinstall software. I can't figure this out.  I reinstalled the software, I get the same error message.  To make things more bizarre, my Windows 10 machine still runs Macromedia Dreamweaver with no problems.Does anyone know of a fix? I don't want to just throw away the CD.

Hi,I have had Malwarebytes flag the Dreamweaver executable as ransomware twice now. In between the first and second time I have since reformatted my computer.Is this a common problem with the two programs (or something similar to Malwarebytes)? I have searched Google a few times for the solution as well as these forums but to no avail.Versions of each software are below:Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2017Malwarebytes 3.0.6 with latest definitionsWindows 10 PC.

Installed 2017.1 today and noticing a lot of issues and had to rollback. I was short on time and not able to document all of the issues but firstly it overwrote all of my custom keyboard shortcuts. Seems like there were a bunch of new short cuts added that were in conflict with that I had. The should be a better system in place that if there are conflicting short cuts that the custom defined one's take precedent over the system. Or a way to manage conflicting shortcuts. There's also no way of easily getting to the system shortcut to change it with out going through each panel one at a time. Besides overwriting my custom keyboard shortcuts there seems to be an issue in general with keyboard shortcuts. At times when I did Ctrl + C it would jump to the top of the document instead of copying something. Also, trying to copy in and paste file in the file panel weren't working for me either.
