Howdy, everyone! I downloaded a trial of Dreamweaver today with my pal to try and get into it, but we keep getting this issue when we're trying to search.Not sure if this is 'normal' behaviour, but it's driving us mad. What is going on that we can't search here? Why does it delete everything we type?

Hi All it is me, (Paula Ziecina)Since reporting a spam posting in the Muse forum, and receiving a notification that I have been mentioned in the 'Back Room', (spam reports) I have been unable to log-in to the forum, and all my postings since joining the forum have been deleted.Can someone please check and find out what is happening. On occasions I get a strange popup message and it's always when I select a few words and hit the delete key. Anyone know why?ThanksAlan

I've been designing my website and just put it into Dreamweaver. It looks fine everywhere except Google Chrome. I've tried deleting my cache (which was messing up the presentation in Chrome before.) I've re-done the navigation three times and looked in Photoshop to make sure there weren't any extra spaces...no luck. I'm feeling pretty frustrated and am not very techie. Any suggestions? I have 2 questions but they are related.  I have a web pages that use tables to display images. I am a novice programmer and use Dreamweaver CS5.5 and adjust image sizes with paint. I have almost no knowledge of Photoshop but do have 5.5 and just got Lightroom 3.  With Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, I did a few things with Fireworks, but I don't know a lot about programming and do not have the the money to pay someone to assist me in this task that I would think could be simple. I've been using Dreamweaver CC 2017 for a couple weeks without any problems.  After applying an update to Dreamweaver CC 2017, my Dreamweaver continually crashes after a few seconds of opening different documents.  It just disappears and is followed by the standard Apple dialog box saying my app has crashed and asks if I want to restart, reopen, submit to Apple, etc.  No other apps are running, and I don't have any add-ons installed.  I've tried restarting, zapping the PRAM, removing peripherals, and nothing helps.  Again, it was working fine until I applied an update today.Here's my system:Here's my version of Dreamweaver:

Hello,When I code php or html pages I use the 'tab' key to 'layout' my coding.Now, sometimes I have multiple lines where I want to add or delete a tab.Adding the tab for more then 1 line at once works fine (just select lines and click TAB), but deleting them does not work anymore in the new version.On the previous version I think I used 'CMD + SHIFT (or CTRL) + TAB' to delete a tab (or better said, go back one tab) for multiple lines.I'm not able to make it work.  I also had a look in the shortcut list but couldn't find anything.Do you have any solution to this?

Just forced to DW CC because DW CS6 keeps crashing. In CS6 cfsqltypes are lower case. In CC they're uppercase. I went into tag libraries and changed the default to no avail. ?Also, I never had a closing <cfqueryparam> come up before and in tag libraries no closing tag is shown, yet DW CC keeps popping this up which, of course, messes up every closing tag below. Why is it doing this?

Hi All,I can't figure this forum system out so please bear with me if I am in the wrong discussion area and inform me of the correct area.I am using CS6 on Win10. I am trying to change background header images every time the user revisits the page. I would prefer html5 or php, not js, as there are user choices and restrictions with js. Intermittently, if I have several documents open in code view, if I flick between the open documents the code is the same on each one.  For the correct code to be displayed I have to close each document and then reopen them at which point they will work ok for a while.It actually looks like it is just Dreamweaver not refreshing when a different document selected because if I make a change to the code it is the original page containing that code that is updated.  Having said that, it only seems to be documents of the same type that are affected, I could have 5 PHP documents that display the same code when I flick between them but any CSS or JS documents open display correctly when selected.Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?I am using 2017.0.1 build 9346 on MacOS Sierra

I am a newbie to DW. I currently use MS Expression web, one of the features I like is that CSS tags are linked to their style sheet. I can click the tag and it opens the style sheet location of the tag for editing. Does DW allow this feature, if so how?

I'm trying to update a book publishing site and get undefined error messages when I try to create or edit record sets.  I can see the databases in MAMP in localhost, but can't access them. I'm using DW4 and MAMP Pro. Here's the dialogue box regarding accessability:

In the new Dreamweaver CC 2017 multiple cursors were introduced. While this is in a way a cool feature, i'd rather like to switch it off because if you don't pay attention you can easily edit by accident other parts of the code when you pressed CMD (mac). The old behaviour worked much better for my workflow: Select a part of the code, hold CMD and drag that selection somewhere else, so it copies that selected code there. Is it still possible to get that behaviour back? Is it some parameter in brackets.json that can be set? Thanks.

Quicks question I've embedded some  deviant art pictures on my site which  work fine in preview Mode but are not connecting when site is uploaded. Has anyone else had this issue if so what's the solution??

Has anyone worked out how to set code format options for CSS when using the 'format code' option.I know the CSS format options it's been removed from the preferencesI know there are some options when setting up preprocessors... What I want to know is if anyone has worked out where in all the CodeMIrror files you can edit the options for how your CSS code is formatted when working on a site WITHOUT using a preprocessr?

Hello,My navigation works and scrolls to the right section but the down states are incorrect in the menu. Since this is one page I can't manually add an "active" class to another html page. How can you specify the active state in the menu when on a specific section of the page? This is a simple site. I've had a Dreamweaver site for about 12 years, but this is something I can't figure out.On this page Homeschool Speech and Debate there is an image of a book cover -- The Fallacy Detective.I think I found the code for this on one of the tabs.I want the words under the image to say the title of the book and link to my affiliate link for that book on Amazon.This is how I wrote the code but it doesn't work. Hello! I am having some trouble connecting my form on dreamweaver to my database that i have set up on my cpanel. What I am trying to do is create a registration form that connects to the database that I have on the phpmyadmin page on my cpanel. This way users can register and their information will be saved on the mysql database.one of the issues is that i am not quite sure what to put under  the MySQL Connection which are found when adding a database in the Database window on DW. another issue is that i have a FTP host already connected to the website but not a testing server. i assumed that i already have one set up due to thisIf anyone can help me with this matter, that would be awesome!

Hello Dreamweaver Community! How do I create only 1 mobile version for my entire website? or link back to the same exact mobile version from every page?I'm sure this question has been answered so I hope it's an easy fix for me and I don't have to start all over but I've missed a step in the process. Currently I have to update every single page of the website if I make a change to the mobile version. I thought when I create the fluid grid layout that it would automatically link back to the same mobile version I created from the index page. It is very time consuming for me to have to update the mobile code for each page. Please help!Thanks,
