Find and replace inside a folder but exclude files inside a specific sub-folder?

Is there a way to search an entire folder but exclude a specific sub-folder? Find and Replace inside the theme folder is very useful, and used to be quick. However I have started using webpack, which adds a huge node modules folder into my theme folder. This massively slows down Find and Replace if I search the entire theme folder, so being able to exclude node-modules from the search would be a big time saver.

Dreamweaver 2020-2021 (21.2) lagging

Hello support ion the last few weeks I am experiencing lagging with Dreamvewer in the subject.During typing or just after saving the cursor stops blinkng and for 3-5 seconds is not possible to anything else. Normally the typed character are writter correctly after the lag. I have a Windows 10 machine, with a mapped network drive pointing a Windows Server 2019 folder. I have been using this configuration for more that 10 year without a problem. I already tried to delete the HKEY_URRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamvewaer 2021 (and 2020) and restart computer.I already tried to delete the Dreamvewaer 2021 (and 2020) folder under Users/<Username>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe and rebooted. I starded the PC without iColud, OneDrive, Trend Microsoft Antivirus and software that may cause problems.I am a software developer so I use ther software like VisualStudio without any problem. Any other suggestion? Thanks.Marco Dal Zotto

I was making my website for hours and then all of a sudden after I saved it and went into web view it went into some sort of strange format/view and it's gone down the left side of my screen and looks nothing like what I've been making it's all spaced weird and smaller

How do I get "insert table" to stop adding a non-breaking space?

When I insert a table (using the insert menu), it adds a non-breaking space after the table. I know how to manually remove the space, but is there a preference/spec somewhere to prevent it from being put there in the first place?

Totally Lost After Six Hours Of Troubleshooting!

Background File Activity Window 2022

How do I keep the Background File Activity Window from appearing? It is as annoying as it was for the person in 2016, and although that post is marked answered, that answer is a link that is either out of date or too broad. Does anyone have an answer? I only work with DW locally.  Thanks!

Dreamweaver is unbelievably laggy and slow

I use the 2019 version. A few days ago, whenever I tabbed back into Dreamweaver or did or typed anything inside of it, it would lag and stutter for around 10 seconds.

Dreamweaver CS6 properties menu

Since moving to a new computer, old and new OS is Win-10 pro, the overall DW desktop menus area small and overlap, and not the proeperties menu at the bottom is not fully visible. NOt able to enlarge the desktop menus at all.  Starting  to be frustrating. Any suggestions?

Dreamweaver updating files.

I am having trouble getting my webpages to update. On one of my sites it appears to update with FTP but when I look on the browser the files show the old files and not the new.On my other site I cannot connect to the FTP server so I can't up date the page.

Is there a way I can remove navigation dots at the bottom of a bxSlider?

Hello Dreamweaver Support, This is probably an easy one for you experts. I have a responsive bxSlider on a page I'm working on. Works just fine, except that with the amount of photos there are too many navigation dots at the bottom. Especially on phone view where they double and triple up. OT: When is a client no longer a client?

I'm rapidly approaching the end of my tenature as a web-developer but I still have several clients, managing their websites, updates mainly, a few times a year. However I also have several 'dormant' websites where not much gets updated from year to year. These particaulary clients are becoming a PITA (although I have known most of them for 10 or more years). When they do contact me they talk as if they are spending 1000's of pounds with me, are pretty arrogant, rather insulting and annoying.  At what point is the financial return considered to be so small that it's ok to politely wave them goodbye? I dont really want to upset them but they are really at a point where I consider they are of no use to me any longer. I wont be re-designing their websites in the future as I have no desire to do so.  Does anyone have a minimum financial limit they set per client per year before it becomes a case of 'on ya bike' this is just not worth the bother?

Live view display not working on Windows 10

The Live View display is not working (I think that's what it's called). I checked that the " hide live view display" was not on. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling an older version. I even updated the driver in the videocard. I'm at a loss. any help would be appreciated.

Hotspot indicators not lining up with correct coordinates

Hi guys,First time here and hoping someone can help as this has been doing my head in recently.Creating image maps and using hotspots, old-hat I know but we're waiting for a new website and have to make do with this for now.My problem is, when creating hotspots, the actual hotspot is in the correct coordinates, but the blue circle that indicates a hotspot is in a totally different place. (See image for what I mean)I've tried different display sizes, different image sizes, uninstalling, reinstalling and updating Dreamweaver, so I can only assume there's a setting somewhere that I've missed?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Dreamweaver Crashes When Changing Sites

Whenever I change sites in my files panel Dreamweaver crashes and shuts down. No error message or anything. Just soon as I select a different site it shuts down instantly. Any ideas?On a Mac .....

How do I find the number of pages in the site

Using Dreamweaver CC 2021 latest version. Hangs while loading for hours, then crashes.

Dreamweaver hangs while loading. Sometimes says Loading Site Cache but not always. Using very little CPU, some netword. Files are on remote server through VPN. It has always been slow but this is catastrophic.Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Images hosted in a specific server not showing in design view in DW 21.2

We started using an AWS server to host our images. It is accessible from anywhere, not limited to our network. But DW doesn't show the hosted images in Design View. It shows them in Live View. No other server ever had this problem with DW. How to fix that? I tried deleting DW's cache, but it did nothing.

File modification date

Dreamweaver USED to keep the server's file modification date when it downloaded a file. That is, if you had a file dated 1/1/22 at 3:00pm and downloaded it on 5/10/22, the local file would be dated 1/1/22. Now it just takes today's date. Why did this change happen? This is using version 21.2 in Windows 10.

Name For CSS File

Hi Guys,I want to toss something out there for discussion.  Typically page related CSS is placed in a file called styles or something similar.  I'm a bit more picky.  Because of my programming and database background I like to compartmentalize my CSS.  To me styles are those page elements that have been given a name either by ID or Class.  There are still a bunch of others that are not given a name. body, html and the list continues.  I plan on putting those types of elements into their own CSS file but I'm gaving difficulty chosing a name for that file.  I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.   Thanks in advance.

"File Not Accessible" Bug When Using and Saving To External Drive with DW 21.2 and Windows 11

Hello, "File not accessible" error suddenly appeared with DW 21.2 and Windows 11. I like to use an external drive. (Sorry, but I antiquated. I find this easier to switch between laptops, desktops, and when I am working say on a flight and have no access to remote files on Internet). Suddenly started getting messages that various dwsybc.xml files were "file not accessible", so deleted them all; uninstalled DW; and reinstalled. Then kept getting message that whatever file was open was also "file not accessible". Checked all permissions numerous times, but no joy. Eventually copied entire site folder from external drive onto root drive. Did this on two different laptops, one under Windows 10, other under Windows 11. Root folder sites now working all hunky dory on both. But when try to work on external drive, then Windows 10 laptop seems to continue working OK, but Windows 11 one does not.  There are no issues on Windows 11 plus extern

Hotspots broken?

I'm using Dreamweaver 2021 and I'm trying to manipulate a hotspot that someone already created, however,  I can't select the hotspot. I can make it display briefly as an outline, and that's it. Additionally, I can't create new ones either. I can name an image map, but when I click on the mapping buttons, they're unresponsive. Is there some setting I need to adjust? I'm used to a really old version and this is my first time using this one. I'm just really unsure as to why this wouldn't be working out of the box.
