Dreamweaver

I currently have Adobe  Dreamweaver 2024 version 21.4 on my Mac computer. I am trying to open a dreamweaver on my computer, it keeps being frozen and stuck on the  "Initializing Files" screen and never loads. I've tried Force quitting and restarting the program, resetting the preferences and site settings, uninstalling it and installing it again, deleting all library > preferences and application support files and reinstalling my mac computer. I provided a screenshot. After its stuck on the start up, a prompt will pop up that says " Manage sites " and " csncel " but then it quickly dissapears and is just a blank gray box.     What do I do?

Why can't I select multiple images in the FILES PANE and drag them onto my HTML page?  It worked a long time ago on earlier versions of DW but recently does not?  If I select three, it brings in only one.Second part, I now select several images using FINDER on my Mac and was able to drag them into the HTML page.  In DW 2017, I get a message saying "Your files are not within the root" even through they really are?  When I drag them into the HTML file, I have to bring them in one at a time and then delete the local path name?  Below, the file I want to bring in is in the path  /starlighters/2017-01-21/    that is the images is at  /starlighters/2017-01-21/2017-01-21-starlighters-post-diner-001.jpgIf I say YES, it moves ONE AT A TIME.....  If I say no I get a pathname of //LILES/MAC-HD/users/sites/starlighters/  in every image and have to remove and replace them......  Until I can do this, I go back to CS5 and bring in the i

J'ai créé mes propres CSS avec Notepad++, mais Drw ne s'en contente pas puisqu'il créé un nouevau style à la moindre modif en direct, côté Wysiwyg (Style1, style2, etc...).Donc au bout d'un moment, on se retrouve avec des quantités affolantes de styles créés automatiquement dans la liste des styles.Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

i need help in getting a section of the body text of one page (index.html) from one domain's folder to populate to the specific body section of multiple domain's pages (index.html). i know this can be accomplished via css, but every youtube video i search does not address this specific problem, only how to use css as style templates. what i need to happen is every time i update the particular section of the index.html of thedocfactory.com that lists the films and thumbnails or production status of the list of films (over 56 so far) i need to have it update the same list of films on each films individual page. please don't suggest copying and pasting, as i said there are at least 56 other sites that must have that particular section updated each time a new film, preview thumbnail, or status changes, and there are new films added constantly.all i need is a generic instruction of how the text section of one page can populate multiple pages by linking to it in dw. then i can link all pages

Why isn't display background files activity window on dreamweaver.Until yesterday, a pop-up window was displayed where I had feedback regarding the process of uploading and/or downloading files from the server.This morning I noticed that that pop-up window with background activity no longer appearsHow can the problem be fixed?

Hello. I need to get the site I'm working on to refresh automatically (much like major news websites which will refresh every 30 seconds or so, but nowhere near that degress of frequency) every hour or so and can't find any way to do that. Is there code I need to add to the header of the index.htm to make that happen?  Thanks.

'm just curious — I used Dreamweaver and also taught it between 2004 and 2010. I haven't used it in years, and I wonder how it's being used today in terms of coding or design. Does it still have layout issues when designing?

Is there a way to disable the automatic insertion of closing brackets in DW 2018? I appreciate the HTML and PHP code completion but the closing of brackets drives me crazy.Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, I regularly receive information via Excel, which I then copy into a static html page. Table cell by table cell. I wonder if this can be automated. Unfortunately, the standard csv import does not help me because the information is not displayed as a table in the HTML. The csv contains information for image names (i.e. embedding an img in the scr), a link and a line of text. I would therefore have to generate the following code for each line. Do any of you have an idea how I can do this? The CSV:    TXT;IMG;URL The HTML: <a href="URL">   <div>      <img src="IMG">      <p>TXT</p>   </div></a> 

Dreamweaver 21.4 work god so far.Now cant connect the ftp, filezilla work ok.No changes on my side, other machines same Adobe account with same error. Contact the server, they say its the software.Have try FTP, SFTP, SSL. Have made all I see in Adobe comunity, like refresh the setings, disable the firewall. Soluction?

Liebe Community,ich versuche mein Dreamweaver CS5.5 auf meinem neuen PC zum Laufen zu bringen und bekomme folgende Fehlermeldung: "Die Zeitbeschränkung für die Aktivierung von Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 wurde überschritten." Außerdem steht da noch "Diese Seriennummer wurde bereits auf zwei Computern aktiviert. Beheben Sie dieses Problem, um fortzufahren."Alle Versuche Dreamweaver auf meinem alten PC zu deaktivieren scheinen nicht zu funktionieren, die obigen Fehlermeldungen bleiben bestehen.Meine bisherigen Recherchen haben ergeben, dass die Aktivierungs-Server für CS5 und älter abgeschaltet wurden - ich vermute, dass deshalb weder die Aktivierung noch die Deaktivierung funktioniert. Gibt es irgend eine Möglichkeit mein Dreamweaver auf dem neuen Rechner zu betreiben?LG Andi

Recently took a new role where one of the sites we manage use spry collapsable panels. I know spry is legacy and unsupported at this point, but I need some way to add/modify these panels as there are no plans to replace or upgrade the site in the near future. Suggestions?

I have an old software that I tried to install on a new computer, but it won't accept the serial #.  I used it as a trial for 30 days and now it's wanting me to pay for it.  Does anyone know how I can get this enabled without buying the new version?   I don't want to have to pay for it again as I the old software will suffice.  Thanks!

I'm trying to add keyboard shortcuts for DL, DT and DD in DW 21.3 as I used to use in DW CS6.I find the DL under Edit / List section, but I can't find its components DT and DD. Some help please?

I have been using an extention for many years with Dreamweaver that connects me to a MySQL database and allows me to create pages and so forth but the guy that created the extention has passed and it seems that the extention is no longer working and I can't get support. So the question is, since Dreamweaver no longer support it, what are people using these days? Are MySQL DBs no longer in favor?
