it would be great if the channel swap option was included in lightroom classic. this would eliminate the need to use photoshop and we could get out there faster to take pictures. 😉 that would certainly make all infrared photographers very happy. so please please dear adobe programmers make it possible.Best regards Marko

LR mobile sync is extremely slow. Giving me an option to sync locally would be excellent. And I'm sure very useful for professionals travelling in areas where internet is limited/non-existent or expensive and time consuming.Come on Adobe. If this is designed for professionals this slow sync and data usage issues on global data roaming....? It simply isn't practical. The product as is can't be recommended as is.(please also add keywords, ratings, labels to app functionality)Thanks!

Good morning.   I assume that I am not the first person to make this suggestion, but it would be very helpful if a user could select a set of images and then export the metada for those images (or selected metadata fields) to a list in Excel. This would greatly simplify the process of completing the list that must be submitted to the copyright office when registering photos for copyright.   I was actually surprised to find that this is not a feature in Lightroom. In my day job, I work with a cloud-based content management system in which we store Word docs, PDFs and Excel files. And in addition to being able to edit, download, copy and paste, etc. we can generate a list of records in a list view, which will contain only the fields of metadata that we choose and then export that list into Excel.   Thanks for your consideration.   Al

I'd love to see the Premiere Pro Lumetri color adjustment possibilities in Lightroom and Photoshop. For example the curves: luminance vs saturation, saturation vs saturation and so on. This makes it so easy to desaturate the less saturated areas of an image for example. I just don't know any tool for this in Lightroom or Photoshop. Lumetri color is the perfect tool set for adjusting the colours. Please add this to Lightroom and Photoshop!

I'm a photographer who sometimes shoots video. I have DaVinci Resolve for editing full video projects, but I would like to be able to perform basic edits on individual clips in the way we can with photos. I know there are limited ways to do this right now using Capture Frame, but I want full Develop module support with the ability to adjust highlights & shadows, add noise reduction and sharpening, crop and transform (e.g. straightening vertical lines). Basically anything we can do with photos, we should be able to do with videos.

When using the background AI tool, it is also selecting foreground items.  Shooting high key on a white background, I use a mirrored floor for a reflection.  The background tool always selects this as well, making batch corrections impossible.  I am dealing with 100's of images at a time, and a tool that did this well would be AMAZING!  But as it is, it simply doesn't work.  See the original, and then the after using the background tool.  The reflection should remain!!!  

It would be great if the secondary screen support could be tweaked with an option to choose whether it shows the selected additional view in an additional floating window, as now, or whether it shows it in a subdivision of the main space in the primary window (between the sidebars). The divide could be placed in the centre by default, but be draggable to tweak the balance between, say, a Loupe view and a Grid view.   An additional enhancement to this would be to allow the additional/secondary view area to be positioned to the far left or far right, rather than in between the sidebars.   Rationale: more people are getting ultrawide monitors like a single 21:9 instead of two 16:10s. I just bough one, and while it's great to have so much room for lots of Grid view items, in other views it's mostly wasted -  unles you're working on a panorama! It's also usually more grid than you need, to be honest. And Lightroom already has its feature for making use of additional screen sp

Hola, Me gustaria recomendarles que pongan la opcion de exportar catalogos con compatibilidad en versiones anteriores, como lo tiene Illustrator, ya que los profesionales de la fotografia compartimos catalogos con otros colegas, y no todos tienen los programas actualizados, ya que las PC no son lo suficientemente pontentes como para soportar las ultimas versiones de Lightroom, es mas, desde que actualice mis programas a las ultimas versiones, fue de mal en peor su funcionamiento, hasta el punto tal de que hoy ni siquiera puedo editar, pero me encuentro con el problema de que no puedo volver a utilizar versiones anteriores ya que tengo decenas de catalogos hechos con la ultima version de Lightroom, y no se dan una idea del perjuicio que esto me ocasiona. While LrC workspace set up is more simple than Photoshop's, Photoshop has a an option to do set it to a chosen default: (Windows>workspace) This would come in handy with LrC when, as an example, you try entering keywords, not noticing you didn't quite connect with the keyword entry "box". When this happens a good number of keys that you hit are short cut keys and the screen flickers between various views. Sometimes it is easy to recover back to the normal workspace, but there are times it takes a while to sort it out. (Maybe just a magic way to undo all those unintended keystrokes😊)

I was surprised to get no real matches when I searched the LR Classic board for "check spelling while typing". Surely someone else has asked that this setting (Edit-Spelling-Check Spelling While Typing) remember its last value (on MacOS, it doesn't. I know about Windows). As it is, I have to re-enable it each time I restart LR, usually in the middle of captioning when I have to go back and check that previous captions were correctlty spelled.   Adobe, this must be the easiest of changes to make. The crop tool has several overlays, such as the rule of thirds, golden ratio etc., which can be cycled in and out with the "O" keyboard shortcut while in crop mode.  This collection of overlays could become a much more advanced tool, if Adobe could provide one more overlay, the Harmonic Armature or 14-line grid, see below image. This would introduce a basic template for dynamic symmetry, a long lost art of image design that most famous visual artworks are based on. If the tool auto-resizes to the cropped canvas like the existing overlays do, the grid overlay would not need any variants, which are usually cycled with the SHIFT-O keyboard shortcut. The coloring below is just for illustration, this could be a simple white line overlay as the others.

     Background: I sometimes use Photo/Photo Merge/Panorama/Perspective to merge multiple photos of flat art or entire rolls of negatives (to make a contact sheet). Most of the time, this works perfectly, yielding images of fantastic resolution. However, sometimes when the art of negatives contain images of buidlings, the merge process goes wildly wrong, misinterpreting the image. An example is provided in the attached four images. 25, 26 and 27 are three partial shots of the same roll of film. 25-2-Pano is the panorama created using Photo Merge/Panorama?Perspective. You can see that it is wildly distorted by Lightroom's attempt to make a single image of the separate photos.      Suggestion: Please provide Lightroom photo merge with a fourth projection method that avoids this problem with flat art.      Possible method: I believe that Panorama/Perspective is often used to provide a single planar projection of multiple photos taken at substan

Hello,i've and problem when creating HDR or PANOS. Assume we have three pics for HDR (Pano is exactly the same in this case): 1.DNG, 2.DNG and 3.DNG. When creating the HDR LRc will create a Targetfile with the name activefile-HDR.DNG, so if 2.DNG was the active file the HDR is named 2-HDR.DNG. So that function is fine. We can set a refererce file for the naming. But LRc is ignoring that reference for filling the metadata . In case of HDR it seem that metadata is always used from the most underexposed pic instead of the reference (active) pic. Most other HDR software respects the users choice and takes even the metadata fro the reference file. I think its an error by design and should be changed.  

When I imported photos into an existing OS folder that already has photos but which are not cataloged, then moved the imported photos (now in the catalog folder) to another catalog folder, the catalog now thinks that folder is empty. However, the folder is not empty. I didn't know the folder was empty and Removed it. The folder is removed from the catalog but remains in the OS with photos because LrC won't delete them   Better Idea:At the time of the Remove operation, LrC should warn the user that the folder contains photos and ofter to either import them or leave the photos and folder as-is. Without a warning, the user may not be aware there is an OS folder with photos in it unless they happen to someday do a folder sync.

I was happy to read that the tone curve tool will be available within local adjustments in future releases of Lightroom Classic.   Are there any plans to include the B&W mix in local adjustments as well in the future? Thanks, Charis

I love Lightroom. I use it every single day as I am a professional photographer. However, I can't understand for the life of me why Adobe has chosen to have no ability to float Lightrooms toolbars as is possible with the other Adobe products. I have two monitors and would love to actually make the best possible use of them. Adobe, please add this feature as I'm sure it will be welcomed by all users. Thanks, Freddy

Hi, I use the publishing services a lot : toward Hard Disk, via Photo Upload toward Flickr, in "Mirror Tree" mode, ... Sometimes, I modified the setting of multiple photos so I need to republish them.   I think it should be nice to read not only the total number of photos in each collection but also the number of photos already published (or "not yet published") in the left tab. For example: Currently we can see : "My personal collection    37" It could be : "My personal collection    21 on 37"  (where 21 should be the  number of photos already published Many thanks Alain

Hello, I am pleased the "Automatic import settings" allow to import in a specific folder with Date. This is quite possible with the manual importation from a SD Card for example but this is not currencty possibly with the automatic import from a watched folder. Indeed, currently my folder hierarchy is not homogeneous and I need apply several operation in order to copy these automatically imported files in my folder hierarchy based on captured date. Import Flow for those embracing Lightroom Classic:   I've had Lightroom for many years and found it's process and flow efficient. I gave up! I've been grinding through it to achieve some level of mobility yet I feel there is room for import efficiencies.  Assumption: Most people coming into lightroom have an established base of photos. Thus they have directories and some structure, albeit, it may not be good. It is written under the assumption that one is starting new. This is not the case. Like me, and I'm sure others the burden of getting things into lightroom outweighs the benefit.  Problem: Lightroom import will take photos from all directories including subdirectories and lump them into one import. This WIPES out the structure that was once a key element in one's previous organization.  One can add collections and sets etc but you have to scour the import trying to determine membership by name or image when the previous location contained that information.

For architectural photographers, I think the automatic perspective correction tool is one of the most highly anticipated features. The automatic adjustment feature of Lightroom Classic's Upright tool does not work very well in most of the cases, and to put it mildly, it is not a usable feature. In the open source tool darktable, which is a free alternative to Lightroom, this feature was implemented in 2016 and works very smoothly. I often find myself in the situation where I wish I had more customization options for the Quick Collection in Lightroom Classic. The ability to divide projects into 5 different colors is a favorite feature of mine, but unfortunately 5 colors is usually not enough. For example, you could add groups with small graphical dividers and the ability to name them.This would be very useful for larger projects and/or projects with a certain number of images per client.Besides the advantage of being able to better distinguish projects both in the filmstrip and in the grid view. Lightroom to Rush   I would like to see connectivity between LR and Rush.  When importing images and video into LR I want to copy video to Rush creating a project.  Video in LR would contain original file and pointers to Rush project(s).

When culling photos before import it would be much more effectent if the "up" and "down" arrows could be set to "Include in Import" and "Unselect from Import" respectfuly. This would be SO much faster than using the "P" and "U" keys or clicking the checkbox.   Thanks!

Hi, can you please add 3 missing features to Lightroom Classic and Mobile? First two are practically bugs. 1. Lightroom Classic is missing photo versions from Mobile. It's quite annoying that I've prepared few versions in Mobile and can't have them visible in Classic. 2. Please add mask amount slider to Mobile. It's just missing, even though mask amount is supported - when set in Classic, effect is visible in Mobile, but can't be changed. 3. Please add Create Virtual Copy in Mobile.   Adding those three missing features would greatly improve the experience.
