Not allowed to save image with greater width than 8192px when saving for web. Seems like a silly arbitrary limit, imposed by Adobe. Please remove
Every new file opened, when selecting "exporting as" jpeg, defaults to 6..I need to be able to set this to 7 (100%).Some days I open 100's of files, edit them, create Photoshop docs, then export to jpg. Sometimes PNG instead.I use the dialogue box "Export As" and drop down to with PNG or jpg. This also allows me to set multiple sizes, gives a good preview, and other options. This needs to be customisable or editable like the Quick export format settings. Please! Adobe.. add a way to set the defaults for this dialogue box.
I understand why there's an index number added to the file name when you export layers to files, but it's not always convenient and I often have to spend ages renaming my files. I have even seen a video of how to re-code Photoshop to stop this happening which works, but it re-sets itself with every Photoshop update. What would be useful is a tick box where you can turn this feature on and off.
Would love to see the option to drop the file extension from the layer name when loading files into Photoshop layers. The extensions often aren't needed and take up valuable UI space. Also, if users are running scripts that pull the layer name to use elsewhere, the included file extension can create problems. A simple checkbox in preferences would do the trick. It's quality of life request. This would be needed when running the script from within PS and Bridge.
Perspective Crop affects all layers in a document. Currently that means thatif you have a document with multiple artboardsand you want to correct keystoning on one, using Perspective Crop effectively deletes the content of every other artboard than the active one. I'm currently trying to correct the perspective on 33 screenshots and the perspective crop tool is usually much easier to use than the Transform > Perspective tool, not not in this case. Photoshop 26.2 for Windows 11 Pro, 23H2 Meta: none of the automatic tag sugestions are accurate/useful for this post and I can't type my own, so I had to pick one arbitrarily or be barred from posting.
I, like many others wish for the ability to use the Removal Tool with Gen AI on, without it adding a FireFly tag to content credentials since it's specifically for removal, not adding AI.
I’m certain I’m not the first person to submit this request, but it’s a Photoshop update that would really save me a ton of time today, so I figured I’d add a (possiblly) redundant request to your pile and (maybe) help tilt the scale in the direction of adding a tool to the next update. Dust spots are a ubiquitous nuisance in the life of digital photographers (even for shooters like me, who are pretty vigilant about cleaning sensors and swapping lenses in relatively dust-free environments). Given the advancements in AI, it seems like the Photoshop could easily integrate a one-click dust removal filter that would save guys like me a significant amount of time in post when we’re dealing with deep dept-of-field exposures. There are several paid third-party plugins for this. The best (in my research) is produced by Retouch4Me [Link removed by moderator] I routinely use several Retouch4Me AI filters to help streamline my portrait retouching workflow (they tend to be on the exp
The Export As dialog in Photoshop currently supports PNG, JPG, and GIF as file format options. Please add WebP to this. At present to save a file as WebP requires either direct Save or using Save As meaning there is no option to take advantage of the Export As options - for example to resize images, add metedata, etc.
The idea is really simple. So simple that GIMP has had it for years. A quick command/action to remove any holes from a selection, i.e. if you have made a selection, then everything that is completely surrounded by that selection is now added to said selection. Say you use the magic wand to select a building, but it didn't select all the windows, because their colour is too different. One keypress and they're added to the selection. I am baffled by the fact that this doesn't exist yet.See GIMP example here: https://docs.gimp.org/2.10/en/gimp-selection-remove-holes.html#:~:text=You%20can%20access%20this%20command,through%20Select%20%E2%86%92%20Remove%20Holes
Currently, when working with multiple layers, you can only bring one layer into the Camera Raw Filter. It would be very helpful if you could bring 2 layers into the Camera Raw Filter. Example: When editing a group photo, (layer 1), ultimatley you may need to swap heads of a person from a different photo (layer 2) or even add a person that was not present when the photo was taken. Often the colors, tones, brightness, sharpness, noise, etc, etc, need to be edited to match the rest of the main photo (layer 1). The Camera Raw Filter allows the most options to change all those issues. But since you can only work with a single layer at a time in Camera Raw Filter, you have to make the edit to layer 2, then see if it matches the background photo (layer 1) By bringing both layers 1 & 2 into the Camera Raw Filter, and being able to edit layer 2 and see your edits in real time giving you a much better shot at getting both layers to match, and would take the guess work out of the edit.
HiCould a new option be added to the Warp tools? A 'Mirror/Reflection Warp', which works with a centralized plane and you adjust/warp one side of an object, the opposite side will also be warped exactly the same? For example, changing the shape/profile of a bottle – rather than having to set up lots of guides to try and manually warp evenly on each side, you make the adustments to one side, and the opposite side automatically mirrors what you do?Or is there a way to do this already?! (I've not found it yet!).ThanksB
Would be nice if Photoshop was like Illustrator and InDesign when you update a link, all other links update. For example... I have to redo the folder structure of files in Explorer and move all linked elements to another folder layer.... when I open said PSD and it calls for missing link when packaging, I can relink to new location and Photoshop will see and update the rest.
Someone else suggested this back in 2017, but no traction. Note how many menu items I never use on the layer right click:I've NEVER used those options. Can we vote for the ability to customize it the same as the application menus? I'm getting old and my eyes are getting worse, so I have trouble seeing the options. It would be great too if the customize interface would show a preview of the current menu you are modifiying. I like to put colours on my most frequently used items.
Allow Photoshop to manipulate objects in a 3 dimensional space and then convert the image back into a 2 dimensional space using AI and user input. Allow Photoshop AI to generate a 3d model and objects including light sources and distant light points from the image and allow users to turn the image along the z axis so that they can modify/change objects in 3d space and then convert the image back to 2d space or export an image of the 3d space based on user input and AI. This would allow someone to drag an arm up and out or behind their back etc. This would also mean the AI has to be intelligent enough tomove an arm, leg, or head around by a joint and respect 3d object boundaries. This would be an amazing tool that let you reshoot an entire image and do anything your imagination can come up with. The AI should be smart enough to wrap the "back" of a 3d object in a texture based on AI data and information in the original image.
Right Now in symettry mode, any lasso tool selection you make is not reflected on the other side. This would be handy when making patterns that require lasso section and painting within them to reflect in the projected symmetries.
Putting in a request for Adobe to invest some time in to creating a native and robust Layer Renaming tool. It's long overdue. Enough with the AI features please and lets get back to implementing foundational tools that improve workflow. While scripts exist, they're tedious to find and must be updated manually by the users. Not great. A simple example of where a Layer Renaming tool would be very useful is in removing the included file extension in the layer name when we Load Files in to Photoshop Layers from Bridge. File exensions often aren't wanted in the layer name. A tool in PS that would eliminate this would be great. Again, this is all doable using 3rd party scripts but it should be a native feature of PS.
Just a thought that it could be helpful if a simple histogram of the underlying image/assets sat atop or alongside your gradient map so you can quickly spot where most of the luminance values lie and space out your gradient accordingly. Attached a quick visual mockup.
I am cuting and pasting parts of my image for puppet work for Adobe CH Animator. I cannot find the 'paste in place' option in the web version of Photoshop. It looks like there is a way in desktop of Photshop, according to these docs Move, Copy, and Delete - help doc Create and manage layer groups - help doc
This is a suggestion/idea that comes from this thread If we are using the Lasso tool (as opposed to the Polygonal Lasso) in conjunction with the Alt key, we can close the selection by simply letting go of the Alt key. My suggestion is that it would be useful to be able to do this with the Pen tool. With 4K screens it can be difficult see the 'Close a path' icon (tiny circle). I'd like to be able to Alt click close to the start point of a workpath, and have it close the path. If you check the other thread, you'll see that there is interest to have such a feature. Thank you.
Is there any chance that the option to convert a batch of images to WebP could be introduced into the Photoshop Scripts/Image processor, rather than having to write an action to do it please?
Hello Photoshop community! This might be a niche idea for photoshop as it caters to my specific profession but I feel that what I am looking for wouldn't be all that hard for photoshop to accommodate. I own and operate a screen printing facility that primarily prints custom apparel for touring musicians and entertainers. The screen printing process requires that we separate art in to a chosen palette of spot colors--it's very rare that we print using a CMYK process. We are commonly provided art files that are complicated to work with and generally not "print ready". Taking rasterized files and breaking them in to spot colors is a HUGE headache and sometimes downright impossible to do manually. I've tried many scripts and tutorials and I do consider myself pretty proficient in photoshop but nothing I do manually can separate an image quite right. As a result, we're forced to spend hundreds of dollars a year on separation software and even that doesn't always work. Wh
Kindly add a Zoom-to-Fit (Ctl/Cmd + 0) icon at top of PS window that is always visible. See embedded image. Since this command is used so frequently, it will save time by clicking icon instead of using keyboard.
Illustrator, in my opinion, handles this properly. It greys they menu item out. It's frustrating to accidently click 'Open in Bridge', which then automatically opens up CC and installs the app.
I would like to see a tool for removing lens flare when it is created from a light source, like the sun, that is outside of the image. This flare is usually the shape of the iris opening in the lens or shutter. It will be a bright colored area that still contains the image detail. Surly some sort of AI tool could correct this bright area while preserving the detail.
