It"s incredible how in 2024 you dont"t have slowmotion in the effects tabYou have to do 6 steps :1. select clip2. press CTRL + R3. press 504. select optical flow5. click OK6. render clipinstdead drag an drop a slowmotion effect on the clipReally ?
PFA screenshot of interface, where marked in red is indication for improvement.there are lots of extra spaces in overall UI, which can be trimdown. So we can use more usable area for timeline, Preview Window, Tools, Effects, etc. Please refer attached screenshot for reffrence.
Transparency for Cross Dissolve Transition need to be improved,Transparency should go 100% to 0% with ease.Right now it is suddenly desapper in last 2-3 franes, as result it looks abrupt.
This is a feature request, or a post meant to at least provoke a design discussion. After decades of operating, one user-error I still execute occassionally is accidentally deleting media in the timeline if it is offscreen (not displayed in the current visible section of the timeline panel). This is a challenge as user, because I usually don't discover these errors until some time later, making them a real annoyance to correct. (If they are caught quickly, sometimes simple "undo"s will suffice, otherwise it's finding corrections in sequence versions or auto-saves.) One such scenario is if I am working with the selection tool and happen to leave a clip selected and then work in another spot on the timline. Hitting the delete key will then have an effect I do not observe (deleting a clip, unseen in another section of timeline). Another scenario is having in and out and tracks selected, but with the in and out off screen in the timeline panel. If I hit the delete key it has an e
This is one thing that has always bugged me, that if you want to rename a sequence you have to go to the project/bin panel... Generally I keep my project panel at the top left with limited width so it's kind of a pain to rename something that you can't see the entire pre-existing name without increasing the width of the name field... Not a big deal, but have always wondered why this wasn't enabled.. It was possible in the late lamented FCP7 (and it's percursors...). Thanks as always for humoring me...
Close Gap is useful to pull together a selected group of clips. Well it would be useful, but if there is media on any other track, it won't work. Not even an error message, just...nothing. Please have the default function be to ignore other unselected clip on other tracks and just bring my selected clips together. My workaround is to move selected clips to end of sequence, close gaps, then move them back. Perhaps currect mode is useful to somebody, but maybe as an alternate mode? TBH seems so basic to me I started to post under Bugs.
I have both Premiere Pro and Premiere Rush (Rush on my mobile devices and Pro on my desktop) and I was recently wishing to be able to work on Premiere Pro projects in Premiere Rush. I want to have the ability to pick up on a project if I'm out somewhere and then finish it at home. The posts I've seen are 4 years old, so I'm not sure if this is a feature, but I'd like it to be.
Hello everyone! Whenever I'm editing a video with interviews I like to use the clip markers and not timeline markers to segregate the footage, so that the markers are carried ahead throughout the edit process. But since there's no way to drag and change the marker duration in clip markers (it just moves the clip, haha) currerntly we have to get into the marker settings dialogue box to change the duration. Here's the problem, there's no live preview of the marker duration on the clip while in the dialogue box. That means I have to change the duration-close the dialogue box-realise the duration change wasn't what I wanted- head back to the dialogue box-rechange the duration and hope it worked. Or alternatively, I roughly calculate how many seconds or frames I want the marker to be before I enter the dialogue box, which is too much of a hassle and wastes a lot of time. At this point in the edit, I want my full attention on listening to the interviews and marking releva
In the Text Panel, under Transcript, the auto-generated transcripts are sorted by which speaker's voice is detected - awesome. In the filter menu, it would be great to optionally solo or hide a certain speaker.Several use cases:When editing a long interview with a long-winded interviewer, I just want to see the subject's responses without the interviewer's questions.Inversely, I could jump to questions one-by-one.If there are any sections where the speaker is not identified automatically, I could jump to those one-by-one and identify the speaker myself. Please upvote if you agree - thanks!
Hello, I edit a lot of social media clips for various podcasts for multiple speakers so a constant practise for me is having to manually select all moments of dialogue from specific speakers and put them on their own individual subtitle tracks to be able to give them their own individual style and colour, and position. So to speed up my workflow it would be great that seeing as the transcript software can identify different speakers and I can rename speakers names, that the ability must be possible to add, being able to select only dialogue from a specific speaker in the transcript and/or on the subtitle track to be able to either move/duplicate/delete and put somewhere else, or on another subtitle track. I hope I've explained that well enough. (This kind of goes along with the much requested ability to be able to multiple subtitle tracks visible at the same time, but I have worked out a work around for that for now, but I vote yes for that one too please)
one suggestion, create a subtitle system that is similar to the transcription in relation to the cuts, for example, the video transcription is separated when we make the cuts in the audio, so the subtitles could follow this idea too, the timecode follows the cuts of the audio on timeline
As this very old post shows, audio time remapping has not been an option when working with Premiere Pro, making the process of speed ramping videos with audio (or even audio by itself) not possible within the software. This very simple feature is already present in After Effect and even Premiere Rush, but still requires you to move to AE or AU to do it when working on Premiere Pro.Would be very useful for our workflow to get a "Time remap audio too" checkbox when time remapping a clip, or better yet making time remapping of an audio clip possible and available by right clicking the fx square on an audio clip.
Hi,Now there is a hype with the introduction of new features. There's a lot of fun in there, but I wanted to ask for something to work with.If I have a movie in which it is necessary to replace the titles with lower third, the sourcesare no longer available, then this turns into a real quest. I would like to suggest considering a replacement by example mechanism when you need to change something that already exists to another option. Sometimes you need to remove the titles or subtitles completely, this is also often impossible to do without artifacts.I think many in the industry will appreciate it.Thank you
Hey. Not sure if posting here would help. But Im a film student, videographer and photrapher based in NY and very interested in helping test out GEN AI implementation in Premiere Pro. Not sure who has access to it right now but I would love to help be apart of the testing team and provide content and possibly use it for my thesis.
Hi, when can you please update Premiere to work with vtt-Files?I become more and more vtt-Files from costumers. I van convert thisbut its not a proper way. Thanks!
Hi,I need to do some image analysis over extracted frames and I need to extract 10bits stills from 10bit footage.I've shot the footage with a GH5 and recorded into the SD card (1080p, 4:2:2) and also on an Atomos Ninja V with ProRes.I've loaded the .MOVs into Premiere, activated "maximum bith depth" and "maximum processing quality" into the sequence settings (I'm using the spanish version of premiere, so no sure of the exact names of this options in english) and I cannot get more than 8 bit neither if I load .MOVs from the GH5 nor ProRes from Ninja V.To check this I've extracted a frame in TIFF and opened in Photoshop with no luck, it's just 8 bits (why not offering an option to choose between 8 or 16bit?). Then I extracted a DPX and its 16 bit but after saving in 16bit TIFF and analyzing it with a special software (called Histogrammar) it shows it's filled with just 256 different levels. So unless there's another option hidden anywhere, this is clearly a bug.
When entering Essential Graphics text, there is a lag between typing it on the keyboard and seeing it appear. The more complicated the timeline, the worse the response. In YouTube editing, captions are often attached to all comments, and the slow response of text input is directly linked to the speed of work, so please improve it. Especially in editing work in Japan, "text input" occupies a considerable weight.
I'm a shortcuts person, and I like customizability. Please make the new Header Bar feature of Version 22.3 optional. I have no use for any of the buttons or information on the header, all of which are redundant and can be accessed either through the toolbar or via keyboard shortcuts. I appreciate that the Header may be convenient for new Premiere users, but for power users it is wasted screen real estate.
In After Effects, to change the speed of a bunch of keyframes you can select all of them and then option drag them left or right depending on if you wish to speed up or slow down the overall animation speed. How would I do this in Premiere Pro? When I select a bunch of keyframes and I option drag them nothing happens in Premiere Pro. What am I doing wrong or missing? Thank you very much in advance for any help with this.
I have some ideas which can improve the home screen of Premiere: 1. Selecting another home screen folder location is very slow. There is such a thing: copy the folder location in Explorer and then paste in Premiere to immediately access the folder. Instead, users have to endlessly click to traverse the folders to reach the destination. An input where the folder can be simply pasted would be welcome. As in Windows Explorer or as in Adobe Bridge, clicking on the folder path transforms it into an input field. 2. The scroll speed. It seems that every Adobe application is contaminated with this slow scroll speed. It is incredible that the software designers, project managers, IT specialists, beta testers, all those folks are completely unaware of the slooow scroll speeds? One whole rotation of the mouse wheel scrolls several tens of pixels. When the list is long, it takes hours to scroll to the bottom! 3. Expand to the current folder - when restarting Premiere, the home scree
I would like to add a news text ticker in all my videos. I create a video regulary. But using AE for news ticker inifite scrolling tech is a pain. Any better options?
It's 2024, I've seen the most recent improvements we have to Premiere. They're all seemingly great. But that leads me to the one thing I believe we're missing. My idea consists of being able to click on the "Unresolvable" font & then having a dropdown that lets you choose any font to replace it with instead of going based on the default font. For example my issue today is Minecraft fonts. There's like 50 different default ones. They all look the same. But because I have "Minecraft" & not "Minecraft-Regular" installed all of a sudden its "Unresolvable" even though by letter definition they are the exact same font. Meanwhile, Premiere is auto resolving to use "Tahoma" when I should be able to click on "Unresolvable - Minecraft-Regular" and easily be able to switch it to "Minecraft"
The timecode effect is very nice but when producing a video that measures timing/latency, it would be nice to have Format option for hh:mm:ss:ms (ms=milliseconds), not the very misleading SMPTE hh:mm:ss:frame. The frame is confusing for public and engineers/scientists. Also it would be great to have a reset button in the Effect controls to reset time to zero at the playhead.
When making videos during an NBA game, seconds are minutes. While Patrick Beverley was answering postgame questions to the media, I noticed he swore 4 times throughout his responses. I knew I would waste precious minutes listening to the whole interview again to remove the bad words. That got me thinking... how hard would it be to implement a filter in the text panel to automatically mute/remove certain cuss words? Would love to hear your thoughts/opinions!
