I put this idea foward years a go but I think it may have been lost when coming to the new forum. What I would like to see is the ability to lock a track in 'time'. this function has been in Audition for ever. When working with music or performance videos it would be nice if the in sync tracks could be locked so that accidental movement during edit trimming could be avoided.

Avid media composer has a fantastic feature for subclips. Its called autosync. Its extremely helpful for large scale projects to manage bins and clips based on scripts.   Gere is the process which is followed for films or shows on Avid 1. Import all footage and audio from day and sync them on a timeline. 2. Create subclips with synced audio and footage of individual shots/ clips 3. Rename each clip, based on shooting clap and script. 4. Create autosync clips. This enables the indivual subclip to become a self contained clip with all the new audio layers intact and the new clip name.   Why its helpful? 1. It gives you freedom to have individual bins for each scene and have its respective clips in that bin. 2. Even if the scene was shot in a non linear way, the renamed clips helps to keep them in scripted order . 3. While editing, if you feel like using match frame. Hello everybody. How can I mute tracks of people not speaking in Adobe Premiere Pro while editing a podcast to enhance sound quality and reduce echo? I would appreciate this feature, especially when recording three or more people, where other microphones pick up sound, leading to echo. Is there any function or 3r side plugin that could eliminate parts of silence?

I cannot believe that it is not possible to replace media or make a sequence mimic a media file so I can replace the source of a clip edited with a sequence. I'm literally exporting a sequence right now just so I can replace media in the project window. I find that to be ridiculous. Thanks for the replies however that's not what I'm asking Let me explain, I made a trailer out of an internal use only video so, low quality and watermarked. I, then, received the master video however a shot was cut out of it. Therefore I wasn't able to simply replace media and retain the cuts and timing in the trailer. So I figured ok I'll just put the master in a sequence and put space in place of the missing shot and use this sequence as the new source for the trailer sequence. That is not possible. I also couldn't replace clip from source monitor or bin because there's no option do that and preserving the timing at the same time it just replaces like a caveman. So I literally had to expor

It would be amazing, if the audio waveform in the timeline changes visually when you change volume with clipkeyframes. So you are able to see if the audio is clipping or not and you are getting a better overview of the audio amplitude. 

The Fast Color Correction tool was amazing and really fast to use, and I had all my preset color correction tools with it. I'm having a hard time even getting 10% close to the results I used to have with Fast Color Correction, even with Lumetri. I hope Adobe brings it back.

I want to be able to apply any effects whereever I am inside Premiere Pro just by calling up a search bar for effects. For example I do CNTL+Space and a search bar pops up and I simply search for the effect I need.There a third party plug-in from Video Copilot for after effects. Foundry Nuke has the same thing, you just need to press Tab and everything is ready to go.

Hi, Being able to quickly preview all video tracks at the current time indicator is something I have been missing in Premiere Pro. Like a split screen of 2, 4 or even more, where the top most visible track can be a little bigger perhaps.I am not talking about a comprehensive mulitcam or sequence setups, or the comparison view to compare color or effects before/after. I am just talking about a quick toggle button (like the multicam program panel toggle) just to preview what the current timeline clips on the different video tracks display and where they're at. It is helpful instead of toggle the visibility (eye) of different video tracks or enable/disable them to view what's underneath.Helpful in many cases where you need to compare, move or sync clips by visual references. I know this will speed up my editing process, and maybe someone elses 🙂 Thanks in advance for any up-votes.

Hello, why is preimer pro 2024 not supported by arabic?

having to manually set dozens of clips from their default of "preserve audio sync" to "smooth video motion" is awful. There should be an option in the settings window to change the default MPEG mode for variable framerate clips and or an option to bulk adjust clips on the timeline. Something similar to the right click "time interpolation" options. It's a bit ridiculous in my opinion that there is even an option for clips filmed in variable frame rate to NOT be set to "smooth video motion" (though I suppose in this mode there could be some audio sync issue I've still yet to see).

Hi, Adobe. I'm using Premiere Pro 24 and still cannot do such an obvious thing as keyframe interpolation for the Path property. I do not think this is something difficult to make or goes in conflict with the software's logics...I use masks and shapes practically in every video and it gives me pain seeing linear movement every time.Adobe, can you PLEASE fix it for us, I'm sure my video editor collegues will support me on that.

Currently i was looking into Text styles via captions.We've built a subtitle preset reppository on a .prtextstyle asset. this is then imported at project level for users to use.It should also have the possibility to amend and update the current preset text styles when amended at user level.This is to avoid having to work through numerous premiere projects old / live / new to micro fix those style amends manually. Hoping that it can be set so it looks at shared Cloud libraries for best optimisation. this would avoid going to each workstation to implement the updates if the user level approach is used.The concept of having this as a project based asset is good. but what if you wanted it to be at premiere system level?Granted you can create a template project which has this. however the problem becomes a pain to swap out if your making amends / adjustments to those styles. Having to replace them per premiere project becomes a nightmare. it would be more benifial if the users had

Dear ADOBE,Congratulations on Pp 24.0 and thanks for the effort you put in to make it better and better with each iteration....I almost found this picture from the WIN 8 era and a wave of nostalgia hit me...My question is... is it possible to bring back this color (beautiful gray color ) in today's Pp GUI , I hope it is possible and this color would go well with LIGHT theme from WIN 11...I will be persistent, until you bring her back to Pp...ha,ha,ha....all the best. 

Is there a way to remove all of the "YouTube", "Vimeo", etc. options from the side?  They are completely useless.  Save that for Premiere Rush or something.Pro editors know what settings we want for export.  I've made several presets, but I don't understand why each time I go to export a new sequence (not duplicated from another sequence that I haven't already used a preset for) it defaults to 720x480 25fps!  WHY?!  Even when the dropdown menu says my preset is selected with a checkmark, it still defaults to t0 720x480.  I have to re-select one of my presets to have it switch to it correctly.I've tried digging deep and removing all of the codecs I don't need or want but it still doesn't work. Please, please go back to how simple it was not too long ago when Exporting was dead simple and would default to the last used preset no matter what.  I must waste at least 30 minutes combined each day reselecting my preset export settings. For the next

OpenType stylistic set support in Premiere is something which would speed up my workflow and bring Premiere in line with Adobe's own illustrator more relevantly, Davinci Resolve who have supported stylistic sets for a few years.Currently, the only way I can find to use alternate characters from an installed font in Premiere is by replacing the text layer with an After Effects sequence and pasting the desired character into the After Effects test box, copied from Illustrator. This workaround is slow and limiting.I appreciate it’s not the most existing of features to spend time on, but surely, it’s about time?!

The audio transcription feature is great, but for those of us outside the US, it would be great if we could select a default langauge to appear in the 'Create transcript' window - this always defaults to 'English' (specifically US English).As someone in the UK, every now and then I forget to change this, start editing the generated captions, then realise that the spellings are US, which means either starting again, or going through and changing all the spellings to UK.Anyone who mainly captures content in other languages will always have to select their language each time they use the create transcript feature. It is a small, simple feature, but to be able to select what the default transcription langauge would be hugely helpful.

Putting on Arabic text and syncing it with the audio is taking time. It would be helpful to have it automated. Best RegardsHassan Al-Saadi

Currently Premiere shows an amber traffic light in the program monitor when dropped frames are present in playback. when experiencing slow playback and skipped frames it would be great to know exactly what frame rate your system is able to display for a given timeline. This could be helpful in troubleshooting marginal playback improvements when things are running slowly. furthermore an option to see which clips or effects are having the greatest impact on playback / export of the project would be amazing. This could be similar to the render time coloumn in After effects. Or a filter option when searching through a timeline. Thank you.

Hello! By default, when you drag a clip onto the timeline, you have the ability to change its opacity by sliding the white bar (on the clip) up and down. If you right click the, "FX" button, though, you can change what the slider modifies. One of those options is Time Remapping (Speed). With my work, I do an extensive amount of speed ramping, resulting in me using the above feature for basically every clip. I would love to see a setting implemented where 'Speed' could be a default slider option over 'Opacity'.

I don't know if it's just me, but it's a complete pain having to use transform just to add some quick motion blurr.... even more so when im FORCED to use the position values or the little sneaky ass blue circle thingy on the main program tab aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Why can't I just double click on the program tab, drag the screen as I usually do with the default motion, do a couple keyframes.... and have a shutter frame option I can use if I want some simple ass blurr. Please, I don't understand how u haven't done this already, it seems like it should have been a must years ago, idk how complicated it'd be to implement smth as trivial as this...But I believe I speak for 90% of all premiere pro users and say...... Right now I can use X-mouse Button Control to assign shortcuts to any of my mouse buttons. I need to be able to do so natively inside premiere pro.These are my further recomendations:-Assign MMB to Del. By doing that you'll be able to delete and ripple delet in the an blink of an eye. -Assign one of your mouse's side buttons to Add Edit Point and the other to Seletion tool. These assignments will make your workflow much more easier.

I want to set the In&Out just by dragging the mouse cursour around an area of a clip, then do the Extract.Right now I have to add an edit point and then move away and then use Q or W to ripple edit. I offer adding Shift+LMB and dragging to set In&Out point.
