The built-in keyboard shortcut for renaming a project in the Productions Panel is ENTER or ENTER (NUM), but if you assign this keys for another function in the same panel you lose the projects' renaming shortcuts and discover that you can't assign it back again, because this function isn't listed in the Keyboard Shortcuts window. It would be convenient for us to have it listed and editable there. Please, note that I'm talking about project renaming in the Production Panel, but not the production renaming itself.

In 2019, Christopher Johnston created an extension,that allows exporting several videos, according to markers on a timeline.more info in this videoThe extension (updated in 2021) is here Unfortunately this extension didnt work with my latest Premiere version  ;(  any alternative solution?I'm surprise that such a FREE option is not available yet in Premiere!!! Thank you

We need the ability to add words (on an ongoing basis) to a custom word list for the transcription program to reference. I work with spiritual practioners and often discuss topics relating to Hinduism in my videos. The random English words the transcription inserts are nothing close to what is actually being spoken and on an hour long podcast, it takes an arduous amount of time to scroll through by hand to try and make sure I catch and correct them all. This seems like it would be a simple addition to program. Please vote for the idea if it would benefit you so we can all have this resource!

I would very much like the ability to color code (label) Projects within the main Production panel. Once a Production gets busy with lots of working Projects; backups, archives, camera cards, music, stills, sequences, sub-sequences etc, it can be confusing coming back to a Production (after a weekend for example) and knowing which was the last working (current) project. This becomes even more important when working across a team, who may all use different naming conventions (however much you tell them to stick to the rules).The outcome I would like, would allow me to say to a co-editor, "It's the green project in the sequences folder"

I wish there were a command that could change the mouse into an anchor point It is very annoying having to zoom all the way out, find the anchor point, move it, and scale back everything time I wish you simply holding down CMD or Opt and the mouse would turn into an anchor point that I could place between the subject's eyes  This would help me improve workflow and increase productivity  Thanks

I've fiddled with the interface Preferences in Pr and this is the brightest I can get the text, compared to other apps.Is there any way to force the text to display in White instead of this dull gray color? Or even change the color to something bright like yellow   

Hi there, I shot an interview that needed a simple audio edit, after export, to bring one of the speakers up in volume. Trouble was, the audio layers were flattened, so I only had single track audio to work with. Yes the best way is to get the original files and boost the audio there, but that wasn't an option. So I looked at text based editing to help. I transcribed the audio, created the speakers, highlighted each segment where one of them spoke and copied them into another layer. Then I nested the audio to create two tracks and adjust the audio across the whole interview. My question is, would it be viable to have this be automated within premiere. Would it not be possible to click a button to have the speakers separated into two tracks from one? If it is possible, how could it be implemented and what would it look like?

"Selection follows playhead" Seems to get turned on everytime I freshly start premiere and everytime the lumetri tab is open (This is all versions of premiere that I have tried, 2022-2024). I am constantly messing with keyframes on short clips and it competely breaks my workflow to have this setting randomly turn on and changing which clip I have selected. It would be amazing if there was a way to completely disable this feature.

It can be incredibly frustrating and time-consuming to navigate through multiple workspaces, tabs, and levels while editing. As a new generation content creator, efficiency is so important! For instance, having to navigate to the essential graphics tab just to adjust certain text elements, or having to delve deep into menus to apply simple effects, can really slow down the editing process and dampen the creative experience. My suggestion is to incorporate features similar to those found in other modern editing software. If competitors start to match Premiere Pro's capabilities while offering a more intuitive interface, many users, including myself, might be inclined to switch platforms. For example, adding convenient buttons directly onto the program monitor, like Clipchamp's Crop and Flip buttons, could greatly streamline common tasks such as video cropping and rotation. As a new user, I'm struggling to learn the names of each panel on the screen. As expected of new users, I will often accidentally close panels on accident, and then I'm left absolutely dumbfounded on how to find it again. Even if I look at the Windows menu, the names there may not match with my concept of what that pane did for me, and that's largely because there's nothing standing out as naming each panel. As I explore the program I often right-click in places to see what options and solutions are available for that pane. If that menu had the name of the pane as the first thing at the top, I would faster grok what the program refers to with each pane, and I would also find solutions and answers to problems online much faster. Adobe Premier Pro 24 2024, 24.2.1 B2WIndows 11

I want to find the places where I have (for example) used a Morph Cut in my timeline. Using Search in the Timeline allows me to find effects applied to clips, but I can see no way to find different types of transitions.  To be able to do this would be incredibly useful to me. As the icing on the cake, I would like to be able to search and replace all cross disolves with film disolves or similar. Kind regardsPeter 

I'm not sure who wants blank rows and empty space above and below the tracks in the timeline pane, but I've just found that after doing some video nudging that I completely forgot about a track above my video that I had to later scroll to reveal.I get that widening tracks vertically to show more information in them can be really useful, but the less I need to mess around with how this looks, the less likely I'm going to mistakenly hide tracks. So this is two suggestions (for opt-in or opt-out preferences):- Make the vertical space of the timeline pane be 100% full of the tracks unless the user specifically expands them- Add a little button in the vertical slidebars to reset this view to 100%/evenly split distribution of tracks- If a track within your current view of the timeline appears as empty, add a little indicator icon at the end of  tracks to show that there's clips to the left/right out of view. Maybe clicking on this little indicator will zoom the timeline to center o

There's probably a shortcut for this, but at the moment I go to the Media Browser, scroll to the bottom of my media to the tiny sliver of a blank space between the last file and the horizontal scroll bar, right click and select Import. I've moused over the other buttons there and I can't seen another one just to import a file.Just now I tried right-clicking around that pane to see where else brings up that right-click menu, and it's only the space above the "x of n items selected" text (to the right of the directory name) that also brings up this menu with the "Import" option.  My suggestion is that after the last item in the media list, there should be a blank row, and in the column where the coloured box is for each file, put a + button there to be clicked on to bring up the options to create a new item or import a file. That way, the vertical scroll will always scroll far enough to show the whole empty row with this + button at the start of it, and it'll be easie

In the Export > Preview pane there's a blue time thing that says where the playpoint is. When i click on this it opens for editing like so:But as soon as I click somewhere in there to put the cursor there to type in my edits, it immediately unselects. There's no way to put your cursor where you want in that little time box to edit with your keyboard where you want. The only way I can edit it with keyboard is to click to activate it and then use my keyboard right/left arrows to navigate from the right hand end of the string.  NOTE: This DOESN'T happen in the video view panel when I'm Editing a video, only in this Export > Preview screen. Adobe Premier Pro 24.2.1 B2Windows 11 

While rendering my videos, I output as MP4 and when uploading them to youtube, the codec comes out as avc1. I see some youtubers, from the moment they upload the videos, the codec comes out as vp09, but when I do it and upload it, it comes out as avc1. How can I instantly extract my videos with the VP9 codec?

Please for the sake of my sanity; Add Shortcuts for Linear, Bezier, Ease In, Ease out, etc - as well as Next- and Previous Keyframe in the Effect Controls panel. AE has them. Meanwhile I'm going mad over here with right clicks and holding shift while scrubbing in the little extra effects Timeline. Thanks & lovelukas  

As far as I can tell, it's only possible to transcribe clips one at a time or all clips in a project. It would be much more convenient to be able to select and transcribe a batch of certain clips.

Adobe Premier Pro 2024 v24.2.0 b93Windows 11 When I double click on the subtitle clip in the Subtitle timeline window I expect the Edit > Text > Captions pane to automatically move to and highlight that caption in the list (and maybe even be open for editing so I can just start typing over the text in it). At the moment, the Text > Caption pane does nothing and I have to scroll through it to find where I'm at in the video and then click the right one. Alternatively, create an opt-out option where the Edit > Text > Captions list  automatically scrolls whenever the video is playing so that the current subtitle is always highlighted in the middle of the list.

I know this has been discussed before, but don't think anything has been done about this.  Really important to be able to convert markers with duration to a subclip or to mark an in and out reflecting where the marker resides and the duration.          This was simple to do in FCP7...  and was enormous timesaver.   And would be great if you could use the tab key to navigate from name field to the duration field.       I'm sure others have more ideas about improving this feature set.   Thanks as always to the Premiere team for a great job...  

I have concern as to how this isnt already a thing for Adobe, since they are a large company, also taking a lot fo my money each year.I have a new computer, and would like to transfer all of what i have on my current PC, LUTs, Transitions, Overlays, Titles (over 400) to the new one.I don't understand why this isnt a feature, to be able to export a premiere version from one pc to the other. I have multiple people i work with who would love to be able to do the same. Installing all these one by one on each pc would take endless hours.

I would like to apply a preset to every compositions I open. That is not possible still? How come? I need to manually copy and paste the same 3 (native) plugins I use, over 100 times to all my different compositions. 

I'm sure a lot of us often work with different formats - 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 etc. and it's mildly annoying having to constantly change the zoom level when switching between sequences. I know there's the "fit" zoom level, but htis isn't always ideal, especially when moving graphics/shots off the edge of the...erm..."canvas"? "screen"? So it'd be nice if each sequence remembered how I'd previously set the zoom level, so when I open that sequence, the Program monitor switches to my chosen zoom level - just like how the timeline remembers the zoom level and playhead position I've previously chosen.On a similar theme, in the past I've suggested that PPro should remember the previously chosen zoom level when I save/close/open a project - currently it always defaults to "fit".

I typically work in a Resolve > Media Composer dailies pipeline, and have recently begun building a Resolve > PP pipeline, and I'm seeing a lack of compatible metadata that can be transferred around. I'm baffled that PP can't simply take an ALE and ingest all columns. If the functionality is there to create new columns within PP, it shouldn't be a stretch to automatically create those from an ALE. At the end of the day, editorial and the NLE become the database, so it needs to be capable of housing anything we throw at it.  For reference, in the 2022 version of Best Practices & Workflow Guide, on page 32, it explains all of the fields PP supports from an ALE, and it's only 28 items. It lacks Lens info, camera roll, tilt, audio track naming info, source resolution info, etc.  This info is used quite a bit, and would be the source info for most VFX workflows. This could easily be as simple as create the columns on import. It could even be more complex w
