Hi everyone, We are increasingly confronted with the use of IMF file in our workflows.Would it be possible to improve the integration of IMF in Adobe Premiere? We did a test and it turns out that we can partially import an IMF : the CPL is decoded and imports the image and audio into a sequence. The audio is readable being WAV files but the image is not readable.Would it be possible to improve the compatibility? Also, would it be possible to export MFIs from Adobe Premiere ? Not just a JPEG2000, but an IMF package. Best,
Hi everyone, Is it possible to implement the functionality of having a shortcut to hide or show a video track?A shortcut to hide/show video track 1, 2, at least up to 5. Best,
Hi everyone, We do a lot of exporting from Adobe Premier/Adobe Media Encoder and often we have to define the audio tracks.Currently in Adobe Premiere Pro we can only export audio tracks or less (timeline has 4 tracks and exports track 1 and 2).But it is not possible to map track 1 to channel 3, track 2 to channel 4, etc. See adding video tracks: the timeline has 4 audio tracks and we want to export 8 audio tracks. This problem is especially true for Apple Pro Res/.MOV exports. Would it be possible to add such a feature? To be able to map the tracks of the original timeline/element to new tracks for export? While being able to have more tracks in output than in input? For example by duplicating track 1 and 2 to track 3 and 4? Best
Hi everyone, We occasionally have editors using Adobe Premiere for their editing and all the time we run into a problem conforming the AAF in Avid ProTools. After some research it seems that when Adobe Premiere exports the AAF it does not put back the metadata from the original file like "take", "tape", etc. (example in files)Would it be possible to add this metadata when exporting? This would make it easier to conform audio AAFs. Thanks in advance
Hi Adobe! I have an idea for organizing when it relates to Labels & Bins. The way I do my workflow is I label a file based on purpose, so, for example, Video is always "Iris" but Music is always "Rose", I do the same for dialogue audio, sound effects audio, pictures, dynamic link, graphics, etc... you get the point right? I also put all of these categories into their own bins and label the bin's colors to their purpose to keep them neat, not only in my timeline but also in my project tab (So for example the music bin would also be labeled "Rose" becuase music files are always "Rose"). My issue is that every time I drag a new file into a defined and prelabeled bin, I then have to manually click and re-label that file to my desired label... Doesn't sound that bad but over time it adds up! And I know there is already the "label defaults" option but that only works when Premiere can recognize the type of file it is... so I always know video is "iris" and always know sequences
Dear Adobe, The mask tools in Premiere feel like they're from another developer and ultimately just encourage me to send everything but a simple edit to AE instead. If it is too hard to make your tools consistent across apps could you at least allow us to copy and paste shapes from Illustrator, Photoshop, AE into Premiere to use as a mask instead. The existing mask shapes and path/point movement also feels like it happens half a second after (or ahead!) of your actual actions and just feels far more clunky rather than precise. Per vertex feathering like AE would be good too (but not if it slows down the mask point moving any more!)
There's no default colour for titles made with the title tool. They get the same colour as Stills, which is something, but they should have their own colour.
An idea would be to have a watchfolder where anything new would be automatically imported to a bin in Premiere would be amazing.Example : I edit of a server with a team. I ask someone to find music for my edits and that person adds music to a folder on the server. If I "targeted" that folder as an "import watchfolder" it would help alot during the editing process.thanksJP
We all know how it feels to search for a song for an edit. I usually loop the section in the Timeline I'm editing and go through my finder and playback songs that are in a folder over the edit so I can hear what it feels like. It would be good to be able to do that within Premiere. To have an option to playback the loop section and go through the bin where the imported music is and try different songs without having to put it in the timeline, listen, delete, find another song, put it in the timeline, listen and delete and so on for the end of time.ThanksJP
Currently, if I would like to scale, say three clips, I have to apply the scaling to each clip separately. One should be able to select multiple clips and modify properties on that selection. After Effects allows this, so why not Premiere Pro?
AudioI'm not sure wich audio tracks are used for transcription and if modify audio is considered. If you have e.g. Clips with 8 audio tracks but only one have the essential audio then I modify the audio to leave only this audio track wich also can be track 3 or 4 in the clip. It would be a time saver when these modification is used for transcription instead of all 8 tracksWhat happened when audio is only available on track 3 or 4, will transcription work?Export scriptWhen I export a script as .csv e.g. it will be helpful if the file name will be prefilled with the clip name. At the moment the name field in the file selector box is empty. Also helpful to export multiple scripts from multiple clips at once. Now you have to export via text-panel clip for clip.
When I transcribe a video, I don't want to have to set which language I want to use and what the other settings should be each time. Premiere Pro should not just reset to English as the default language. Premiere Pro should remember my settings.
I'd like to be able to overlay/display my drones GPS data, altitute, Lat, Long etc on my videos. Can you look into how this could be possible please?
I did alot of multicam editing with the CS versions. Why did Adobe take away our multicam monitor window that was a SEPERATE window we could dock anywhere we wanted? I use dual monitors and I HATE that Adobe decided to make my program final output screen half the size as normal because they thought it was a good idea to put the multicam camera windows in there. Big mistake! Before I had my program screen on right with FULL size edited video output and I could have my multicam monitor window docked on my main workspace screen on the left. PLUS...I didn't have to hold down the control button to pick a cam while the video WAS NOT playing. I do not like playing the video and making cuts at the same time. Too many cams to look at to pick the right one I want and it ends up taking longer. Plus I have to go back and do rolling edits to get the right frame I want to cut on. More wasted time. And you expect us to make live cuts with sm
Slip and Slide tools are great, I use them, love that they have dedicated keyboard shortcuts and can be set up quickly. That said, the ability to quickly set up Slip Trim Flags would be welcome as well. Reason: Keyboard shortcut economy. The goal: That slipping, sliding, and standard trimming can all leverage the same trim shortcuts. It's already close. Sliding and trimming are already there.Only slipping remains. Solution: Slipping under trim flags. There's only one catch: Setting up trim flags for slipping is clumsy. So the request is this (unless this already exists, and I'm not aware of it):1 - Select your clips2 - Introduce a new keyboard shortcuts that set up trim flags for slipping or sliding (i.e. yellow flags at heads / tails of the selected clips). This is the feature request.3 - Slip via standard trim kb shortcut (Demo) Again, love the slip and slide tools and their dedicated keyboard shortcuts. But feature redundancy w
IT would be awesome if there was a free app that would allow people to open Premiere Pro Projects and view any timelines inside of them - WITHOUT having to export the media. I work for a TV network - and we have hundreds of PPro editors. We eat up gobs of network disk space exporting timelines for approval to people who don't have the adobe suite. Approval/revision/approval v2/revision etc etc. Each one being backed up from the network disks... If we could just sent the project file that would be a few kilobytes. The UI could just present a list of the sequences in the project and the managers could open the files since the will have access to the same network media we're editing off of. Sure, there are times we'd still need to export, but when something is still inside the organization - it would just be a huge huge time and disk space savings. We don't need any editing or anything - treating the file as a read-only. (if you want to build in some sort of fram
Hi!The idea is simple: The "Remove Unused" feature, to also remove any bins that become empty during this process. When you're tidying something up, this would really help to speed up this process, instead of just leaving lots of empty bins around, keeping the project just as clogged as it was before. This could also be a handy addition to the "Consolidate Duplicates" feature. If someone comes and tells me this already exists that would ALSO be great 😎
Premier should add 'export as individual clips' as an option in the export window. It should export individual clips with all the effects and color grading and also give a XML of the timeline to link it in other editing softwares. It would be a huge help for editing in premier pro and grading in davinci resolve workflow. Because some effects do not translate in XML so exporting individual clips with all the effects burned in to it and exporting it in ProRes or DPX directly from premier pro with a single click will be a huge help.
The Premiere Pro is currently missing one important function - how to reset the clip in the Source Monitor (or Project window respectively) to the state in which it has been imported - that means having the playhead at the beginning of the clip and resetting the Sequence Slider to the default magnification level (that means the whole timeline of the selected clip is visible and if you move the playhead from left to right, it will play the whole clip). If you have a really big project in which you need to seek through the clips multiple times, it would really speed up the process as the only workaround is to do it manually (verified with Adobe Support) by:Resetting the In and Out pointsClicking Shift + I to return the playhead to the beginning of the clipClicking the timeline slider twice to reset the zoom levelRepeat this on all of the clips in the project (which can sometimes be thousands of clips)This would save a lot of time to the people who have to deal with a huge lists of
Currently there is not toggle or option to select a constant audio bitrate under for a video being exported as H.264. Please include this option. I suggest adding a constant audio bitrate option for other export types as well if possible. Best,Aaron
Many times I have needed to change a preferences and I don't remember what it is called or where it is in the tabs. Sometimes I give up and keep working around my issue which leads to a bad user expereince. A smart search field would be immesureably helpful for users. Just saying.
Please add the capability to add audio effects to "Master Clips" the same way that video effects can be applied. I realize the most commonly-referenced workaround is to use the audio mixer and apply an effect(s) to the track output. But this workaround makes a critical assumption that: A) all or most of the instances of a master clip are on the same trackB) All of the clips on a given track are from the same master/source This may be true in short & simple projects. But bigger projects with dozens or even hundreds of source clips over several tracks makes it that much more vital to be able to apply audio effects to the master clip and know that it will always be there when it's used on the timeline. Yes, the source files could be opened in another program like Audition and be processed with destructive effects, but that process is, well, destructive. Trying to compare and consistefy the results between several master clips would be nearly impossible. Thanks for
Hi Adobe Support, When media managing a project through Project Manager in Premiere (PC: File -> Project Manager), I always end up going back to the newly created, project managed folder and renaming it, because the new media managed project assumes the name of the project where it originally came from. 99% of the time when media managing, I want the new project folder to have a new, distinct name, apart from the original project. It would be helpful if a folder naming field could be added under or incorporated with the "Destination Path" box in order to create the name of the project that's about to be project managed (see attached image). I've noticed that Premiere and Media Encoder only allow you to encode h.265 using an mp4 wrapper. This is on both M1 and Intel based Macs. DaVinci Resolve on the same systems allows h.265 encoding using an .mov wrapper. For whatever reason, the .mov h.265 encoding in Resolve is far superior to the .mp4 h.265 encoding in Premiere. Not only is the compression much cleaner using the same bitrate, but trying to seek, fast forward, rewind the Premiere files takes like 30 seconds; where as the DaVinci files are instantaneous. I've tried all possible settings regarding compression and keyframes in Premiere and it doesn't make a difference. I've resorted to exporting a ProRes4444 file from Premiere, bringing it into DaVinci Studio, and then encoding my .mov h.265 file from there. If this doesn't change, I'm just going to edit all of my work in DaVinci. Consider this a feature request to add h.265 .mov encoding options in Premiere and Media Encoder. Either tha
I have an improbement that I would like to share with you, that is important for me. - Adding a shortcut to load the next clip in the preview panel. When you are selecting the best parts of your footage, having to grab the mouse to load the next clip makes it slow and tedeos. So having a way to open the next clip shortcut it would be amazing.
