Presently you can select a single graphic asset with multiple text layers in it and align, or move them all together. However, if you have multiple graphic assets (text) on the timeline, when you select all of them together you are unable to control them at once. What should happen is when you select multiple graphic assets (text) on the timeline, the Properties panel should fill up with all of the associated elements so that, in the Properties panel, then can be selected together and things like Align or Position would be taken into account. This currently works with the Appearance tab, but none of the other tabs. I know that this is more of a Premiere issue overall in which multiple video assets cannot be manipulated together, but the graphics assets already populate in the Properties panel, why can't they all be shown together? Thinking about this a la After Effects where multiple text layers can be selected together and manipulated as one. This is important for
Like AE and Photoshop where you can move tracks/layers up and down, I'm requesting that same ability be added to Premiere. Anyone who's used AE and Photoshop (which you most likely have if you use Premiere long enough) knows how useful it is to be able to quickly move entire layers with a simple mouse drag and it'd be great if that feature could be added to Premiere. Before posting I looked it up first to see if anyone requested this already and found a locked thread talking about this made back in 2009. So hopefully this post gives the request a second chance at life for new eyes to look into it.
ScreenFlow has a brilliantly simple animation system that would be a huge workflow improvement if adopted in Premiere Pro. Here’s how it works in ScreenFlow:Add a “Video Action” (like a transition in Premiere) to a clip.On one side of that action, the clip has its original properties (position, scale, rotation, etc.). On the other side, you adjust those properties to their new values. The software automatically interpolates between the two states over the action’s duration, with smooth easing built in.You can drag the ends of the action bar to make the animation faster or slower, reposition it on the clip, and choose between a set of custom ease-in and ease-out values for the interpolation. No keyframes. No graph editor. Just drop in an action, adjust the transform properties, and ScreenFlow handles the animation. See it in action here. Why this would be a game-changer for Premiere Pro:Fast + intuitive: Premiere isn't set up for easy graph editor work. It would be gr
We already have a tool for searching for frames by description, but...It seems that we still lack a tool that would work like a "visual PluralEyes" and automatically synchronize video clips on a timeline based solely on the analysis of matching video content (movement, frame composition, etc.), just as easily as it is done with audio, but with video only. For example, there is a movie with low-quality fragments, and other materials are provided that contain similar fragments but in higher quality. You need to find and match the low-quality fragments on the timeline with the higher-quality fragments from the other provided movies. This is necessary when high-quality clips are received during the final stage of editing or during the restoration process.
In Photoshop, you have the ability to adjust the brightness of the transparency grid, from the default light mode to something much darker.I would like the ability to do the same in Premiere's program monitor.
See this post for a no longer available UserVoice request. Can staff recover it? I do not find it or a similar one in a search. Is there already a request for what I am asking? https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/transcription-fixing-automated-errors/m-p/12367619#M366421 When a caption is split in the Timeline, the timecodes are split by the playhead position in the timeline. This is correct and is the current behavior in 23.6 and Beta 24.1.0.21. But the entire caption text is repeated in each of the new segments. There was much discussion about this in the Beta forum during development, and there are continuing requests for a different behavior. I don't think any users are advocating for the current behavior. I recommend that the text be split so the beginning text through any word completed before the playhead position goes to the new, earlier caption segment and the rest of the text goes to the new later caption segment. Note that this
Change the "Composite in Linear Color" setting for creating a new sequence to OFF by default. When "Composite in Linear Color" is ON, the cross dissolve etc. does not work properly. So, as the first setting (default), please turn it off.【新規シーケンス作成の「リニアカラーで合成」設定を、デフォルトではOFFにしてほしい】「リニアカラーで合成」がONの状態だとクロスディゾルブなどが綺麗に動作しない。なので、最初の設定(デフォルト)としては、OFFにしておいてほしい。
It would be nice to be able to copy Lumetri Color settings directly from within the Lumetri Color window with a simple Ctrl/Cmd-C, rather than needing to navigate to the Effect Controls window which may not always be visible on a user's screen, or Lumetri Color might by pushed out of view by other effects. The clickable area for copying a Lumetri effect from anywhere in the Lumetri Color window is 100x+ larger vs the Lumetri Color tab in the Effect Controls window (see illustration) When a user is editing their Lumetri Color settings, being able to simply hit Ctrl/Cmd-C to immediately copy the effect would be significantly faster than having to mouse over to the effect in the Effect Controls window! There's really no good reason users shouldn't be able to copy directly from the Lumetri Color window! While you're at it, please implement the other idea I suggested ages ago of adding a special shortcut to paste-replace an effect, so that if the
Hallo adobe, I'm an Adobe Premiere user.I use it for my work, social activities, and personal vlogging. Therefore, I'd like to suggest adding Indonesian to the transcript. This would be very helpful for me and, of course, would make things easier for Adobe users in Indonesia. Thank you.
I've been digging the recently added search panel feature. Deep and fuzzy search across projects is a step in the right direction. However I've noticed a behavior which I find annoying, and that is, it always remembers your previous search and persists in the panel every time you open it (provided you haven't closed the project or quit Premiere). This means you could use the search to find a clip, double-click and close the search panel, finish your edits, go to lunch, take some meetings, and come back to the edit 3 hours later. If you were to invoke the search panel again (I'm using cmd+shift+F), that same text you searched for will still be there.I'm sure this might have some defenders but for the vast majority of software with a search function as well as file systems (finder, spotlight, raycast) and productivity & notetaking systems (notion, obsidian, endless productivity tools) and so on, when you invoke a search it always starts fresh. I find it distracting to have to manually
mpeg2 is a standard delivery format for several television stations we deliver paid programs to. It is presently a pain to get those particular files encoded with captions and I am going to look at other NLE options if Adobe doesn't get on the ball and add this soon...
Hello, one of the latest OBS updates (V 30.2) introduced the ability to add markers to the video using shortcuts. However, these markers are currently not recognized by Premiere Pro.This functionality would be very useful during the editing process, and it would be great to have it integrated into Premiere Pro.
I really like Duplicate Frame Markers, but have issues when I edit Multicam. As soon as I switch angles, Premiere sees it as a totally new clip, so it doesn’t mark duplicates—even when the actual content (like dialogue) is the same. Great for visuals, but not so helpful when you’re trying to catch repeated audio. I suggest an extra option in the wrench menu - Show Duplicate Frame Markers across Multicam angles.
to be able to replace Source Graphic by alt draging just like we do with video onto different source graphic
I have the up/down arrows set as my shortcuts to jump between clips in the Timeline.I want these SAME shortcuts to also allow me to jump to the first/last frame of a clip in the Effect Controls window when it's the active window. Unfortunately Pr doesn't allow the same shortcuts to be assigned to these functions, which is a pity since it would be a lot handier to use the up/down keys to navigate both the timeline AND the Effect Controls window rather than needing different shortcuts for each. Please allow this since there's simply no good reason not to. Thank you.
PLEASE give us a "Limit exported frame size to 2MB" checkbox in the Export Frame pop up window! Why? Because YouTube only accepts thumbnails up to 2MB in size! Having the option to export a thumbnail frame up to 2MB in size directly from Premiere would save users the tedious step of having to resize their exported frame to under 2MB afterward.
It would be great to be able to add any metadata overlay with the overlay settings. As it is now we are limited to Source Timecode, Sequence Timecode, Markers, Sequence Clip Name, Project Clip Name, File Name, Sound Timecode, and Sound Roll. It would be great if you could choose any of the many fields in the Metadata Panel. This could also be implemented as an effect similar to or integrated into the existing clip name effect. It could also be integrated into the simple text effect. You could pick a source track and it would overlay or burn in the chosen metadata field.
Subsequence Auto-Switch Behavior in Premiere Pro 2025Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,I’d like to provide feedback on a change in Premiere Pro 2025 regarding the “Make Subsequence” function.Currently, when I select a portion of a sequence, right-click, and choose Make Subsequence, the program automatically:Places the new subsequence in the Timeline, andSwitches the focus away from my original sequence. This behavior introduces unnecessary interruptions to my workflow. Instead of continuing seamlessly in my main timeline, I now have to close the subsequence and re-open my original sequence, adding extra steps every time I use this feature. Why this is a problemDisrupts established workflows: Editors often use subsequences for organization, but not for immediate timeline switching.Increases friction: Each forced switch requires manual correction, which adds up significantly over the course of a project.Removes flexibility: Editing is highly personal. One-size-fits-all behaviors don’t work well
In Adobe Illustrator we have Global Colors, where one swatch can control multiple objects. If you change that swatch, all linked elements update instantly. It would be extremely useful to have something similar in Premiere Pro, especially for:Text created in the Essential Graphics panelShape layers and graphicsMotion Graphics templatesFor example:I create a few titles, logos, and shapes in Premiere Pro.All use the same “brand color.”Instead of manually updating every single title/graphic, I’d like to update the color once (in a swatch/global setting), and every linked item changes automatically. This would save a lot of time for editors working with brand guidelines, social posts, or projects with multiple color variations.Something like Global Color Swatches in Premiere Pro, with the ability to reassign linked colors in one click, would be a big workflow improvement.
Please make this possible as it's very usefull if you want to do it on a clip/clips and then use it in the Mogrt or change multiple clips at once before placing them to the timeline. See attachments
It would be a game-changer to have automatic rotoscoping built directly into Premiere Pro, similar to what’s available in After Effects or Final Cut Pro. As someone who edits a lot of sports reels, speed and efficiency are crucial. Being able to click on a subject — like an athlete — and have Premiere automatically track and mask them out would save a ton of time. This would be incredibly useful for effects like placing text or graphics behind the player, applying background blur, or doing isolated color grading without jumping into After Effects. Having AI-driven masking right in the Premiere timeline would seriously streamline fast-turnaround edits and make creative effects more accessible.
I love how precise the Color Balance tool in Photoshop is, how you can adjust shadows, midtones and highlights with exact number values. I wish there was a way to do this in Premiere; the RGB curves, color wheels and other grading tools are not as intuitive or easily adjustable in my experience.
I mean come on, the AI transcriber was better at this last year. For the life of me I can’t grok how when going from an obviously male speaker to an obviously female speaker that the AI transcriber should combine the two as the same speaker. Now I get how ithe AI transcribert gets confused in a crosstalk situation. And for that there needs to be a razor blade tool for transcripts so I can split a block of transcription when a new speaker chimes in. And also a merge tool for transcripts so I can take two adjacent chunks of transcript by the same speaker and combine them. And a paragraph tool for transcripts for easier editing. And I need to be able to edit speaker names again, no idea why this functionality was removed. C’mon “To edit speaker names, make changes in the Source transcript” I’m literally editing the source transcript.
