Dear Adobe Team,I hope you're doing well. I'm a long-time user of Premiere Pro and truly appreciate the robust editing tools and flexibility it provides—especially for long-form content projects.I'd like to suggest a feature that could significantly enhance workflow efficiency, especially when working with dense timelines involving short, effect-heavy clips.Recently, while editing a 40-minute project, I labeled certain clips with specific colors (e.g., “Mango”) to identify the ones that required special treatment—such as an adjustment layer with multiple blurs and custom masks. These clips were only 2–3 seconds long, and spread across the timeline, which made them hard to locate and work with consistently. Here’s what I’d love to see in a future update:1. Ability to apply effects or adjustment layers directly to clips based on their label color—for instance, applying a preset blur effect to all “Mango” labeled clips at once, without manually zooming in and hunting for each one.2. A feat
Hi Adobe team, I’ve been using Premiere for over 15 years, and I’ve never had to write one of these posts — but this new update with dynamic audio waveform scaling is really causing issues. Right now, if I lower the volume of an audio clip in the timeline, the waveform visually shrinks with it. On paper this might seem useful, but in practice, it’s completely counterproductive for anyone trying to edit to music or match cuts to beats. Lowering the level of a track shouldn’t erase the waveform. I need to see those transients, regardless of whether the audio is set to -3dB or -30dB. This might work for people doing rough cuts or basic dialog editing, but for music editors, or anyone doing precise rhythmic cutting, it breaks a fundamental part of the workflow. I now find myself raising clip volume temporarily just to see the waveform again, which is ridiculous. At the very least, there should be a proper preference toggle that decouples the waveform from volume keyfram
Bitte, bitte, bitte. Schnell.
The ability to add keyboard Shortcuts for Soloing or Muting Audio Tracks/Toggling Output on Video Tracks. Currently have to create workarounds automation software, would rather not do that.
Sometimes I like to select a word from an interview to change the intonation of a sentence, let's say 'am' as an example. If you have everything in a rushes timeline, whenever you cut the word out (let's say you eat into the word like 'camera'), the text feature automatically jumps in the timeline before you can copy and paste the clip you just cut out and you can no longer search for that word as premiere doesn't recognise it anymore as you've cut into it. Also if you leave a word in the text box and switch to another sequence, after a bit of lag it automatically jumps in the timeline if that word is already present in the new sequence, so you lose your place and have to hunt for where you just were in the timeline. Very frustrating so would love to see this updated!
Is it possible to request a feature that would allow you to select clips, right clip, and move to bin, without scrolling to find the bin. basically, something similar to how moving an email to a folder would work. The main reason, selecting multiple clips to sort into bins once inside premier requires you to hold them while the system scrolls, and its slow, sometimes you can accidentally let go and they drop into what ever bin was there at the time, or you make a mistake... would be nice to have a "move to bin" and then the bin names pip up in context menu.
Hi Community, Hello Premiere Pro Team, I'm here at MAX with my colleague, JD. He would like a feature in text based editing to Find and Replace Expletives with Tone or Audio File. Please upvote this excellent request! Thanks,Kevin
Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,I hope this message finds you well.As a regular user of both Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop, I truly appreciate the powerful features each program offers. I am writing to suggest a feature for Premiere Pro that I believe would significantly improve workflow efficiency for many editors — an "Action Recorder" feature similar to Photoshop’s Actions. In Photoshop, the ability to record a series of tasks and replay them with a single click saves a tremendous amount of time, especially for repetitive processes. Bringing a similar feature to Premiere Pro could allow users to automate sequences of edits — such as importing media, applying effects, renaming clips, adjusting audio levels, nesting, or setting keyframes — all triggered through a single button or shortcut.Currently, while presets and templates are helpful, they don’t cover more complex or multi-step tasks. An action recorder would empower users to streamline custom workflows, improve consistency,
I, along with many other userers of PP, are really unhappy with the removal of the grid tool/effect. I've read that there are really clunky ways to create a gird. This is not accpetable. Please replace or add to the grid tool. We're paying a lot of money for monthly subscriptions. Many threads realting to this issue have been locked which is not accpetable. PLEASE PUT THE GRID BACK IN THE EFFECTS OPTIONS.
In the latest version we are left with Darkest, Dark or Light UI themes In older versions we could dial in the exact grade of grey that suited, or we could apply a 'hack' through the console options. Can we bring this back? The new settings are a massive oversight. Darkest and Dark are too dark, Light is too light!
When a clip is selected, after some seconds, Premiere shows its duration. Please do the same for selected gaps. In general: Treat gaps like clips where possible (e.g. make it possible to replace a gap with a clip).
Hi, I am a documentary editor and as everyone else I have the problem with the risk of using the clips twice. The finder is ok but could be more interesting to have the possibility to search the clip in project, right click it an find an option which brings you straight to the clip in the timeline. That could be also useful when you know a clip and do not remember exactly where in the timeline is. Another possibility is also to see from project, right clicking, the time code which show you where the clip is used, and if the same clip is used many time, the number of times is used.I hope you can unterstand what I am suggestingBest regards
Hi, i was wondering if it was possible to make a LUFS-Meter (Loudness Radar or Audio Meters) available to integrate as a window on the main surface. Just like the db peak meter the we have already, that doesn't really help to measure the the average loudness over time. While producing, I'm clicking super often on the plug-in in the mixer section to make the LUFS-Meter visible. Is there any workaround to make this happen already? Thank you so much in advance. Best wishes Christian Weber
Hello. I would like to request an additional update of the shortcut key to adobe. As far as I know, there are no shortcuts and settings for extensions at the moment. I would like to request an update on the shortcut key related to extensions from Premiere pro.
hat's an important clarification! In older versions of Premiere Pro, the FX badges would change color (yellow, green, purple, etc.) based on the type of effect applied or changes made in the Effect Controls panel. However, the FX badges in Premiere Pro 2025 now use a simplified design with white lettering on a gray background, and they do not change color based on the effect applied.so need to visit effect control for all the clips for 2 hours video is hectic task . pls do update as the previous versions
I'm not a coder but this SEEMS simple enough. I do a LOT of trimming and timing other peoples captions. I'm shocked that the Extend Next/Previous Edit feature and keyboard shortcut doesn't work on the caption track. This would be INCREDIBLY useful to me and would speed up my workflow immensely. Of course the same goes for the the Trim Next/Previous Edit too. If this can't be done I would love to know why. M2
The new Metadata & Timecode Burn-in effect is great but has a limited amount of metadata you are allowed to pull from. It should have the ability to pull from any type of metadata that you can enter. While I understand limiting in the drop down menu, it would be nice to have an "other" selection that would open up something like the metadata workspace to choose from. Also not sure if this would require additonal implementation but we really need a "sequence name" option as one of the burn ins.
The BlackMagic cameras all have a log encoding setting, referred to in their menus as "film". And it is a "pure" log encoding, not a flat camera setting thing. We have camera options for BRAW, "film" for log encoding, and also two Rec.709 options. The Rec.709 options do not record as many stops of dynamic range as the BRAW and log options do. Currently, Premiere does not have native support of BRAW, so for many users, they choose to stay with the log encoding to get the very wide dynamic range the cameras do capture. So it would be very nice if there was a log detection for the BM cameras also, in that now thankfully rather long list of log formats ... as although I can normalize to linear space rather rapidly on my Elements panel, it would be nice for most BM users ... or those editing BM media ... for an auto-detect/tonemapping option.
Allow the user to identity the desired framing of a subject or object (object or subject aware function) by leveraging the grid function in the app. Once the subject moves from the framing, previously picked point on the grid, the app would move the subject back to that position and leverage generative fill to generate the parts of the frame that are now missing as result of correcting the frame.
I'm a professional editor in LA, and there are two changes to this version of Premiere (v25.3) that are driving me and the other editors insane. First is the transition click-and-drag icon that comes up when you hover over an audio clip. They get in the way while trying to select the edge of a clip, and also makes copy and pasting audio transitions from one clip to another extremely difficult. PLEASE make this an OPTIONAL settingSecondly, these new rounded edges make it REALLY DIFFICULT to see where the clips start and end, because from far away, it looks like there are all these gaps in my sequence, and it looks like there are dropped frames everywhere - also it makes my eyes work harder, which is the last thing I need an an editor. I just want to be able to look at my sequence and see that it's wall-to-wall clips PLEASE make these OPTIONAL so the user can decide what look is best for them. My editors and I are using v24 because these small changes make our jobs so muc
Right now, when working with multiple video layers (especially in music videos or multicam edits), it seems like all layers are being played and encoded in real time - even the ones completely hidden underneath the top clip. This kills performance, slows down playback, and makes real-time editing painful. Suggestion: Only the visible top layer should be actively played and encoded unless effects or opacity or effects require otherwise. This would massively improve efficiency when stacking clips, comparing shots, or building edits with multiple takes. We shouldn’t have to constantly enable/disable layers just to maintain performance. Let the editor focus on editing. not micromanaging toggles to keep the timeline playable. This change would save time and CPU/GPU cycles for anyone editing layered timelines, especially in high-res workflows.
SMART SEARCH BINS - on steroids Having a more super roided out search bin filter that allows a futher refined filter over 2 max options !Also allowing for Sub folder search filter bins within it to maximise the filter organisation. For instance base level smart bin folder assists with compiling a dump based on a criteria search as normal.Having a sub search folder bin within it allowing users to further filter out elements and moving it into that folder instead over having it populate in 2 places like the default version. This way the search creatia is contained within that folder set over whole project level and not making further instances of that file.
■ IntroductionUp until Premiere Pro version 22, the software included an essential feature called the "Immersive Environment", which allowed users to preview 360° and 3DVR footage in real time using a VR headset. For creators working with stereoscopic video, this feature was **indispensable for adjusting field of view, stereo disparity, and depth** during editing. However, starting with version 23.1, this feature has been completely removed. ■ What’s the Problem? The removal of this feature has led to serious workflow issues:・We now need to export the video every time we adjust the field of view or stereo disparity・Repeated rendering and playback checks significantly increase production time・As a result, I’m still forced to continue using version 22 solely to retain this functionalityStereoscopic adjustments require precise, iterative visual feedback that is only possible through real-time preview in a VR headset.Relying on exported playback is highly inefficient and unsuitable for p
It will be a great feature if we have an option to collect or move all the unused footage to a subfolder in the FInder/File Explorer. so we can delete manage footage and storage more easily. I work for a marketing agency and i often get 30-40gb of footage for a 30 sec reel. I'll also have to make variatiations in the future so i cant really get rid of all footage. Now i consolidate and collect files into a different folder after a project is done. but that is really messy and doesn't keep my original folder structure. so it will be sooo helpful if i can just select all unsed footage from inside of premier pro and movie it or even an option to delete it from system storage. What do you guys think?
Hello,Is it possible to remove the case-sensitive option for search in the Project panel? So when I type 'dog on the beach,' it shows both 'Dog on the beach' and 'dog on the beach' files? Thanks.
