Many times, in a long project, certain items are repeated.Dragging them with Alt does not have always desired results. Some times opacities get selected, or if one is zoomed a bit out and has to move a long way things can get messy. Same with copying and pasting if all tracks are not targeted etc. If Premiere could have a Split TimeLine View option, a vertical split line , where one side could move separately than the other, have different timeline zoom levels in each, then one could grab items from say the left view and drag (alt etc) to the right view, copy paste multiple clips etc way faster and with accuracy without errors.(A bit like the color match feature in Lumetri where one can scroll two protions of timeline to match the colors). Even Word proccessors have this option for reviewing different parts of the same document simultaneously. Then with a click, Split view closes and one continues editing normally.it would boost productivity immencely!
Hallo, Can you add an option to set a custom storage location for backup files in Adobe Premiere Pro? Previously, backups were automatically saved to the cloud, but since that feature was discontinued, there is no alternative. It would be great if backups could be saved automatically—just like the regular save function—without having to create them manually each time. This would improve workflow efficiency and ensure projects are always backed up properly.
Description:As the lead editor in our company, my workflow involves importing video footage into the timeline and adding markers to indicate where edits and B-rolls should be placed. Our editors then use these markers as a guide to make the necessary edits. Once editing is complete, we clear the markers and add chapter markers to finalize the edit. It would be extremely helpful if Premiere Pro had a feature to save and manage multiple marker sets. This could be implemented as a dropdown in the Markers panel, allowing users to:Save existing markers with a custom name before clearing them.Switch between different marker sets depending on the editing stage.Restore saved markers if needed later in the process. This feature would streamline collaboration, prevent marker loss, and improve overall editing efficiency. Hope this can be considered in future updates! 😊
The uhm detection and removal feature is quite useful! However, to avoid jump cuts in visuals, some clients prefer the "mute" method, where the audio is muted for uhms but the visual track is untouched, creating a smoother more natural continuity. Currently I have to do this manually, but it would be nice to use the same tool that removes and creates a cut, to also have a mute option.
When I nest a clip with an alpha channel, the clip no longer has an alpha channel on my main sequence.
I'm writing to request editing multiple identical MOGRTs at once from the Properties panel. Why?There are many cases where I have multiple copies of a MOGRT in my sequence, and need to update colors, effects, fonts, etc. for all of them. Currently we have to do this one at a time for each MOGRT. When there are 3, 4, or dozens of copies of a single MOGRT this is extremely time consuming. How will the idea help your workflow? When I have multiple copies of a single MOGRT in my timeline, I would like to select all MOGRTs and edit their MOGRT properties (sliders, color controls, etc.) at once in Properties panel. Properties panel already recognizes "Multiple clips selected" and allows editing Transform & Crop at once. Please add the MOGRT properties. LimitationsIf the user selects multiple MOGRTs which are not the same, I understand not showing MOGRT props. But when they are all identical, we should be able to edit them all at once.
This has been a long-standing issue. Whenever I activate an Adobe font it does not appear in Premiere Pro right away. I have to click the option in the CC app to "Install Family" -- which is supposed to be just for non-Adobe apps yet it's the only way to get the font to appear without restarting Premiere. Activating an Adobe font should be instant. #premierepro #fonts #adobefonts
Possobilities to create temlates for CPU/GPU settings in PR, Encoder
Playhead Follows Selecion only changes the selected clip when playback is stopped. Which is a huge problem when doing color with a control panel. In Audio work, control panels typically change levels only during playback, and Premiere respects this. So even though the clip highlighted as 'selected is 3 clips back from the Playhead, turning our audio control will affect the clip being shown, NOT the clip showing "selected". We need the same thing for color work. So we can playback a sequence and do color trims "on the fly" without having to constantly stop playback to move the fricking 'selected' marking.
I'm still disappointed that Premier pro still didn't make the option to view all color graded frames in one screen like Davinci resolve has and it's called LIGHTbox... (color matching and video matching). Yes... I know I can create a comparison view, but that's not it... it's much nicer when everything is on one big screenI would ask the team from Adobe (Premier pro) to take this into account because it will be easier for us to do color matching.
I know there's a way to use the Toggle the Track Targets function to hold a single clip of "select at clip playhead."However, it's a bit annoying to use that function in my way of workingIt would be nice if you could add the option of 'select at clip playhead' so that you can select the top clip of the video trackex) Top selection, selection track priority, etcIf there are quite a few tracks to use the Toggle the Track function each time, you must keep turning it on and off There are many clips on the track, so it's a hassle to do a lot of things to choose oneYou might think, "Shouldn't I set it up once and work on it?" But in my case, I have to work on two or three things at the same time in one project, so I have some restrictions
Hi,Recently I am editing many long form contents in multicam where I try always to avoid camera movements but as you can understand it takes many time when you have 3, 4 or more cameras. The same way there is the Scene Cut Detection, anyone knows if there is a tool or plugin to detect them to try to avoid them? I tried plugins like AutoPod or FireCut but can't find a way with this. Maybe something to include in Premiere Pro for next versions ? Thanks.

Hi, I hope somebody could help me with this. I am doing a recurrent task where I have to level audio peaks of 11 different people (so 11 different mics) to -1db for sequences about 10 minutes. Each time I have around 10 sequences of this kind, so I hope you understand is a pretty hard work to do. People don't talk at same levels, tones change, some scream, some talk very low, things like is those you can find in these timelines. The only solution I've found is to make cuts at each time the waveform goes up or down and when finishing all the timeline and all audio tracks, normalize peaks to -1db. It's for a year now that I am with this stuff. My question is :Is out there some tool or plugin that can detect this decibel changes inside an audio clip to make some cuts on it when the decibels are more than X decibels ? I would like to try to avoid all this work to try to win some time. Anybody knows something that could help ? Even if it's not exactly what I am searching for I woul
if premiere can give us a specific column in keyboard shortcut for user define presets, then it will make the whole software more efficient than any other editing software. and we won't need any 3rd party plugins like excalibur anymore. please add this feature as soon as you can
A feature request: I spend my day importing footage from one place, audio from another and graphics from another. Relative to the project template, the source folder for each is always the same separate folder (Footage, Audio, Titles). The Premiere import path defaults to the last used source folder, so if I've just imported audio, and now want to import graphics, the import dialogue opens to the Audio folder and I have to navigate to the Titles folder. It's a few seconds and clicks that really add up. I'd love to specify, maybe in a template, that importing to the 'audio' bin, for example, opens the Audio source folder first. A different default from each bin. Hope that makes sense.
Is there a way to change the color of multiple markers all at once?(or names, comments, etc?)In Avid, you can select multiple markers in the MARKERS window and click change color. In Premiere, it seems like you have to go one by one.I use this frequently, because I'm often watching 20-30 takes of a scene, and I want to place a red marker for each instance of a specific line--other colors for other lines, etc. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks.
Trim selected clip to playhead, instead of trim all unlocked tracks.
I want to be able to trim my clips using Q and W, just by selecting them and placing the playhead to where I want the trim to go, just like I do in Davinci Resolve. Is this possible in Premiere Pro? I know I can manually lock and unlock all the other tracks, but the point here is to use the shortcut to work fast, not slowly. Imagine having multiple tracks and having to manually lock all the other tracks just to be able to edit a single clip, this is a joke! And if that's not possible in Premiere Pro, is there any plugin that can solve this problem?
Sometimes I need to see the duration of a clip that is on my timeline, and everytime select In/Out and looking in Timecode panel a little bit annoying. Okey, we got a "info panel", wich is work great, but looking averytime a small duration info - not a good idea.I think, will be great to put a clip Duration information from "info panel" into "Timecode panel" or as an Avid, put this info in clip wich on the timeline.
My problem is very simple: In Premiere, when I export a video using Media Encoder, I want it to automatically set the output folder to same folder as my project. Right now, it always set the output folder to last location I exported a video. To be clear, I don't want no manually choose the output folder everytime I export a video. I work with multiple projects in different folders. I also don't want to set the option to "export to a single location", in Media Encoder preferences. I want it to be the same behaviour as in After Effects. In AE, when I export a video using Media Encoder, it always set up the output folder to the same location as the project. I never understood why Premiere does things diferently.
Hi,Please consider bringing back the Essential Graphics Panel. You could make it an option in Preferences, and those who want it could have it back. The Properties Panel is a step back for me because it adds time to my workflow. If you look at comments online, you know I'm not the only one. For example, the alignment controls used to be on top--now they are way down. Other things I use are harder to get to. Also the Essential Graphics was solidly in place. The Properties Panel seems to show up all over the place in my projects. At first I was scrolling every time to get to the tools I wanted, but someone showed me there are drop-down arrows-- and it is not as slow as before. A helpful workaround, but still, not as efficient as Essential Graphics was for me. Everybody has their own way of working. Everybody uses Premiere for different purposes. I am sure that for many, getting rid of Essential Graphics is an impr

Hello,The playhead is not selecting clips during playback; it only selects them when playback is stopped. As a result, it is impossible to add markers to clips on the fly—markers are instead applied to the sequence timecode.See the attached file.System: macOS 14.7.1 (Sonoma)Premiere Pro 25.1.0 (Build 73) Regards, Alex
