Fireworks

My organization has upgraded our hardware from laptops to combo laptop/tablet machines. None of the apps transferred and each had to be re-installed manually. Fireworks CS6 has been part of our plan/package since April 2015 or 2016 but since the new machine, it has gone into a 30-trial version. Our Cloud package was renewed last January but the serial doesn't work. How can I fix this issue and who could provide us with the correct serial number?

A vetran of Fireworks, Photoshop for many many years however just recently i seem to have done something that makes any canvas i set to the transparent colour turn white and when exporting in full png format the image has a white background, its as if the FFFFFF00 colour code has been replaced with FFFFFF making the software pretty useless now and i cant work out if its me or an issue with the software.If anyone has found this or has any pointers to fix this id appreciate pointers 🙂

I know that this will be useless, but I need to put all my frustration here, so Adobe can ignore it... Because I know they will. Hey Adobe, are you completely blind to the several people that still use Fireworks, including me? Don´t even try to tell me that Illustrator is the new Fireworks, because I don´t buy it. And the same goes to Photoshop that to me is for photos, you know: PHOTOshop, it wasn´t conceived for web at all. So stop to try to pull that type of Jury-rig on us. What we really and simply want is Fireworks back! Everyone that uses it knows that is a wonderful tool for web image edition and creation, and nothing in Adobe today can fill that gap. It accelerates all my web related jobs in a way that Illustrator or Photoshop cannot even compare with. So, please revive Fireworks! 

I understand why Mac and Fireworks are no longer compatible, but where can I find a program that allows me to work with layered png files?  From what I read, Adobe has the pattern on layered pngs.  What alternatives do I have?  Get a computer with a 32-bit operating system?

I have just bought a new mac and need to install fireworks CS6 again. My old mac has creative cloud and has fireworks in it, I installed it from Creative cloud originally.My new mac has creative cloud and does not have fireworks in it.I dont understand why. I pay the full subscription each month for years. Surely as a full paying member I should have access to this in my new mac? Makes no sense.

I encountered the pop up notice that my trial version of Fireworks CS6 was expiring and was prompted to buy it, license it or continue the trial.  This was concerning because I had never entered a trial of Fireworks and it was included in my annual all-apps package from Adobe.  By the way I have the SOLUTION, but let me digress for a moment.  If you ever expect to get help from Adobe's so-called technical experts via chat or phone...FORGET IT!  They are all from India, Pakistan, Indonesia...who knows, but one thing is certain they do not know much of anything.  Much to my regret I lost my temper during a chat yesterday and used many foul words which I won't repeat here.  The experience lasted the good part of an hour through four different CSRs with the bottom line being they had no answer to my problem and that I should try phoning Adobe, which I did and it was even worse there until I got cut off.  I have been toying with dropping my Adobe subscript

So today I tried to make a small edit to an html link I had previously created in a sliced image. I was able to make the edit but upon leaving that dialogue and later coming back to it the link had returned to what it was before. Tried multiple times in different ways to make the edit including removing the link completely but it just returned as soon as I saved the document or moved away and returned to the link creation dialogue. Could this be a bug or am I missing something?

Hi all, I have been using Fireworks CS6 for well over a decade now and still love to use it. However I have just built a new PC and installed Windows 11 on it. With that I am unable to reinstall any of my CS6 programms like Fireworks, Indesign and Illustrator. I run the Set-up.exe as administrator and the Adobe Installer just times out and dissapears once the green bar reaches the 100%. Does anyone have any ideas or clues on how to install these products at all as I really need them. I have them setup easily on my lappy but not on my new main pc.Many thanks, Phillip Dews 

I have been uning and enjoying Firewrosk for years. Easy app to usefor both simple bitmap and vector editing.But it's been written off essentially, and has limitations (like the canvas size, and how big an image can be etc).Is there an equivalent Adobe app that replaces FW, with simlar functionality? And thats easy to use?... and maybe even one that can open FW layered PNG files? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to install Fireworks on a Mac running Parallels Desktop for Windows?  I can't seem to find any version of the program for download - and if I do its a trial version from some suspect website, which I'm not going to trust.  I have tons of files I created with Fireworks and need to open them with all the layers available and editable. Any solutions out there?

[Moderator moved from Download & Install to Fireworks.]   I don't see that option in the version of creative I just downloaded. Is this still available at all?   

I want to copy a png file that has frames for animation, but when I do  a Select-All, not all the frames get selected, so when I do a copy / paste to another location I don't get the entire image and the animation does not work properly. How can I select the entire image, including all the frames?  I am using an old version (Fireworks 4) on Windows 10.

Hi all, I've been experiencing this issue for ages and it's finally got to a point where I'm reaching out for some kind of solution! I Googled the issue and a thread came up for this community, but presumably before the forum was changed as the link no longer works, the thread title was the same as I have posted above. The issue is that if I take a screenshot, or have any image copied onto the Clipboard and then launch Fireworks, hit CTRL+N to create a new document, and then CTRL+V, whilst the Clipboard content does get pasted into the new image, it is always offset by a seemingly random amount.  Larger images seem to get offset by more, smaller ones less, but they are never positioned at 0,0 which means the first task EVERY TIME is to reposition the image - the only case where this doesn't seem to happen is when the Clipboard content is smaller than the current editing viewport.I would be eternally grateful if anyone has a solution to this issue.Than

I can't belive this has been 12 months already.I first jumped on this forum (subject Fireworks) back on Feb 9 2021 after Fireworks went past 28 days trial period.I used fireworks a lot, I'm in a graphic artist roll but I came up through the ranks of web design and graphics for web. I grew up on Fireworks. It's what I knew and I was speedy on it.Even today while working in the print realm most mos of my work is for digital. I run 4 machines. My home-office machine, a machine at the office (main), a machine at my head quarters office (out of state) and a 2nd home machine because it still has working Fireworks on it.Fireworks died from my main office machine because i'd let it go past it's 28 days grace period. I didn't really know what was going on when it started asking for a licence out of the blue. I had a fricken licence it wasn't going to drop dead was it.Wrong. After I worked out what was going on and getting on to this forum. I managed to save it from dying on my home machine

I know this is a long shot, but I had fireworks for windows a few years ago and the Mac many years prior. I have a Mac now and I'm wondering if there is any way to use a Mac installer with my old windows code? I'm pretty sure the older one I had wouldn't be compatible with anything. I really miss fireworks.Thanks

My understanding is that Fireworks is no longer being updated.I am having a hard time finding a way to get a license for an older version of this software.Someone mentioend to install the creative cloud, which i did, but it the instructions to show older apps was not available.Any one know what to do?

Hello fireworks lovers!I' m making a site on fireworks and when I export it into html and images, I put 'center' for my browser in the html window, but when I click the html file I have saved it is always on the left of the browser! Can smn plesae help?

Adobe Fireworks is compatible with windows 10 or not?

Bit of a long shot but here goes.... Has anyone been able to run Firworks CS6 (or other versions) on MBP 16inch running Parallels installation of Mojave?   I have managed to install Fireworks on the Parallels virtual Mojave installation but when i launch Fireworks it crashes after the loading splash screen.  Crash window Report [removed by moderator as irrelevant since Adobe does not support this product or configuration]:   Essentially trying to find a workaround from upgrading hardware to the 16inch MBP which is 64bit only.
