I went to update my flash player to the newest 26 release from the most recent 25 release.  The whole, quick process goes on normally until 50% of the way through the install and says this in the box  Adobe Flash Player: Installation failed. Click Finish for further assistance.  Nothing I saw on the assistance pages applies to me.  Nothing about my computer has changed since the last update in May or any other time for that matter.  Everything is how it has always been. Any one know what to do? Flash player decided to stop working and has gone MIA. Am running windows 10, the latest flash player is installed (according to programs and features 19mb), latest opera browser, everything is up to date. Tried installing flash player a few times, but opera browser does not acknowledge it and edge browser sort of acknowledges it. How do I get it to work?? Tried contacting adobe technical like the error report said to do, this must be it I suppose . I dont know what more to say, was working then stopped, now can not get it to work and is showing as installed. Any help would be appreciated.

hi, i also want to download flash player .msi package to push the update to our company's PCs.And i used to download with my adobe account applied last year, it's OK until one or two months ago.When i log on the distribution link, it said my account is expired, and ask to re-apply again. Brand new MacBook Pro with touch bar, running High Sierra.   Download of Flash player install file works and install works as expected, requests password, completes the process.  Then Flash doesn't appear in the Plug-in list in Safari to enable it.

[moderator: added os version to title]i just put in flash player 27 ppapi  i am using  windows 7 i cant get the flash player to operate according to a adobe the file is not in my computer when they check but when i go to the add or remove programs it shows the file is there using 4.27 MB in space i have tried re instailing several times but that does not help i tried using  explorier  firefox   and google with the same results  the only place i see the file is in the add remove programs area  thanks for any help greg

Cannot install Flash Player onMAC 10.1.2

[moderator: added os & browser to title]After a Windows 8.1 update this morning, 11/16, Flash 27.0.0.187 no longer works in Opera 49.0.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling just now with no results, and was also unsuccessful checking browser settings, although I'm little more than a rookie at this and might have missed something.  Can anyone help?

I use [link removed], which is a chat site.  Recently I've noticed that my conversations there keep getting cleared and that flash pop-up comes up everytime I want to send a message, asking if I want to allow the site to store information on my computer.  I always click Allow, but the same thing keeps happening everytime I visit the site;  it's not remembering my storage settings.My question is:  Is there a way to increase the amount of information the site can store on my computer? (currently it is at 750bytes)Or if not, is there some step that can make the site remember the settings I set for it?  I have gone into global settings and the option is already selected to allow sites store information on my computer, so I'm not sure what else I can do.Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.  I'm tired of my conversations on chatango getting deleted all the time.

I recently (in the past 2 weeks) deployed Flash Player to our enterprise (10000+ pc's) running Windows 7 enterprise and all on IE 11. We recently have been getting calls regarding HTTPS websites  not displaying showing an error with TLS. Typically resetting IE settings and or closing IE fixes the issue but this all began when we deployed 170 to the machines. Has anyone else seen any issues with sites not displaying after deploying this version of Flash ? We were made aware of the VMWare bug but the subset of users who noticed that are small compared to the number of calls regarding the HTTPS sites not displaying. It seems to have gotten progressively worse as of recent. We deploy the IE add on with auto update DISABLED so our machines would still be at 170 unless Adobe released another silent update similar to the Acrobat pro licensing silent update ~ 6 mos ago.

Hello,As a developer for commercial educational tools I use the ActiveX Flash Player for desktop PC's on a local network.Because the player only accesses local files, customers don't have to worry about security.Isn't it possible to get a (special) distribution version/license of the Flash Player only for local use after 2020?Otherwise years of hard work and a lot of money are gone in smoke!Regards,HJM.

I'm trying to access a program that needs flash player 10.2 and I've downloaded the updates and it says I have the program. I've tried your troubleshooting and it appears in browser that adobe flash player is turned on, but when I try to test it, it says it's disabled. How can I fix this?

Siince I updated to version 27.0.183 something weird have been happening since this morningSo as usual I watch videos at streaming sites like Crunchyroll youtube or facebook  (on Opera and Chrome), but when I change tabs or leave it untouched for a whileIt doesnt let me click on anything but the close buttons (of the browser) (its worse when it freezes and i am not on the video tab)I seriously hope its another issue.

I have closed all Chrome windows and used Task Manager to close everything else associated with Chrome but still can't install Flash because it wants me to close Chrome. This is frustrating.
