Flash Player (read-only)

Below is a screenshot of my PC Matic's scan results.  It lists two Adobe items as vulnerable and recommends updating the apps.  However, when I visited the Adobe website to check Flash Player and Shockwave, it gave me a message that both were installed and working properly.  I don't understand what the problem is exactly or is there even really a problem?Thank you in advance for any suggestions.[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from Comments forum to specific Program forum... Help, I use edge for everything, but ever since the stupid required windows update my flash player will only work in chrome. I have enabled it in edge and it says it's working, but it lies! I have restarted my computer about 50 times....and that obviously doesn't work either. And apparently you can't chat with anyone if you do not pay. So any suggestions? Oh and I did something to troubleshoot and it showed that I have the flash player and that it is working, but it says with chrome browser. So, I'm thinking that is my problem, but I don't know how to fix it. Oh and I selected always allow after the puzzle piece came up, but that doesn't seem to help either.

adobe flash player in my chrome is out of datei cant update it from chrome have tried install it manually but didnt work

I use google chrome on windows 10 and it says my flash player is installed but not enabled. I tried doing everything the tech note said and i double and triple checked to make sure i was doing it right but the examples it gave where not what my computer was showing when i did it the same way. I tried to find away to possibly contact Adobe for customer service but it wouldnt give me anything to contact them and instead kept redirecting me to fill out a community forum 😕😕 So since this seems to be my only option for help does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Help... i cant download adobe flash. i was having issues on Costco website so after too many issues i was going to uninstal and then reinstall but now i can not reinstall.

I have a mac book air. Adobe flash is installed and up to date but says disabled. I tried to do everything the tech note said to help enable this but nothing wroked. When I try to allow google chrome (up to date as well) to use the flash player nothing changes. It just says, plugin blocked even when I try to add the site to the things are allowed to use flash nothing will add to the list.  Suggestions?

Stating that flash player has been blocked for my protection. How do I unblock?

I'm trying to troubleshoot for someone else who says they can download a flash video, but want this feature disabled.When I access the same file with the embedded video, I do not have the option to download it. I'm using Windows XP, Firefox 47.0, Adobe viewer 22.0.0.192, Irfanview 4.42.  Flash player is working on all other programs except Irfanview.  Can anyone help?

Every time i try to install, it stops at 5% and it gives me a communication error.  There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.  I am never able to finish the install.

So here is my problem.I just bought a new ACER Chromebook 15, and I think that it's great, but my flash player isn't working properly!There is a built-in microphone and camera in this unit, and the ability to link with my USB microphone.And when I go to the audio settings, both microphones show up perfectly. As such: HOWEVERwhen trying to record from flash, it doesn't even show up with the built-in parts.It looks exactly the same for the mic and camera sections.Please help me. I really need this to work, or I need to know if I need to return this device and get a new one. It's a chomebook so I can't uninstall. I've tried restarting, disabling and enabling flash again, I've tried updating it - but I can't. And I've tried everything I can think of (or find online) in the settings!Thank you so much for your help.Please reply if you can.

Like most folks, I get periodic notifications to update Adobe Flash Player.  It's a waste of time, though, when I've already installed the version about which I'm being notified!  Just since January, I've gotten multiple notifications to update v24.0.0.194, v25.0.0.127, v 25.0.0.148, and v25.0.0.171.  Why can't Adobe put some intelligence into their update notification system, and have it check which version is already installed before notifying a user that there's "another" version that needs to be installed?  I'd really like this question to be answered.

Hi there.Since yesterday I have tried to install flash from Adobe on my computer.It worked fine in the past to install flash on my HP Omen, but now I suddenly get the message that I dont have administration permission to install the program. When I find the file in the location and try to do something about the permissions issue, I get an error saying that it isnt an .exe file, all the while it says so.What IS this sorcery and why cant I wrap my head around it and get it fixed?

Hi we have an automation script that is used in our company and others around the world to update or freshly pull down the latest macOS/OSX installer for flash player.  the first part of the script looks for the current version number to hlep create the download location but the version in:-http://fpdownload2.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/update/current/xml/version_en_mac_pl.xmlis acually on the previous version before (26.0.0.131) and not .137  can this be editited please or confirm this XML is not going to be used going foward?thanks

The latest version can't be installed to my MacHere is my system information:Current installed flash player version 25.0.0.171MAC-OS: 10.7.5Target browser: FirefoxUp to now, since years I hav'nt any problem at all. But trying to install the latest version I can do the downloads on any way. After starting the "AdobeFlashPlayer_26_a_Install.dmg. The following download seems to be successful but it goes to the screen "Step 3 of 3 failed to install.I have done with or without browser in background (I was not beeing asked to close an opened browser). Nevertheless I stuck on this step.Everything else with my MacBook Pro vof 2008 runs fine.Thank You in advance for Your helpThomas K.

I've got flash on windows 10 and I've had no issues until the recent security update. The Flash test on the official site tells me its installed but disabled, however it is not disabled. I disabled it and Re-enabled it then refreshed same issue. I have no idea to uninstall and re-install or anything like that any help would be awesome! thank you.Charles

I have executed the adobe flash player file. it says installation will begin shortly.  It is still on 0%.This has happened the last several times flash player has notified me to up date.

I am running Windows 8.1 Pro.  I use Firefox browser.  Both are updated fully.  I have Flash installer set to "Notify me to install updates."  Occasionally I receive an Adobe notice as soon as I boot into Windows that an update to Flash is available.  I tell it to install the update, it appears to proceed normally and I am asked to save an update file to my hard drive.  This is all exactly how I want it to work, but every time this happens, the file I am given to download is named "flashplayerXXau_ha."  However, if I go to the Flash website and ask it to check my version and download the latest update, the file I am given to download is named "flashplayerXX_xa."  Why do the two files have different names?  What is the difference between the two files?

I have several PowerPoint slides in my site and I would want to have a video explaining those content with the help of flashplayer.
