I wanted to inclued captions in a silent video, but I was really frustrated with the lack of options for the text in the captions and graphics panel. You can choose text color and background color and thats it. If you want the background to be transparent the option is hidden way at the bottom and then you only get one level of transparency, you cannot change the percentage of it at all, and it is barely visable. The opaque option is to harsh for the video I'm working on but the transparent option is to faint to be able to see the text on most clips. I need to have the control to change it to my preference. Why is this not an option anymore? It was in previous versions of premeire pro.
Just a thought that it could be helpful if a simple histogram of the underlying image/assets sat atop or alongside your gradient map so you can quickly spot where most of the luminance values lie and space out your gradient accordingly. Attached a quick visual mockup.
I am cuting and pasting parts of my image for puppet work for Adobe CH Animator. I cannot find the 'paste in place' option in the web version of Photoshop. It looks like there is a way in desktop of Photshop, according to these docs Move, Copy, and Delete - help doc Create and manage layer groups - help doc
I am deeply passionate about Lightroom! Editing both my photos and videos in Lightroom is an incredible experience for me. I have no issues with photo editing, and I can use all the tools seamlessly. However, it really upsets me that some features are disabled when editing videos. In particular, I can’t use the masking tool, which is one of my favorite features. This tool makes a huge difference in my edits, and I would love to use it for my videos as well. Additionally, options like texture, clarity, and dehaze in the effects section are also inactive and unavailable for video editing. Is there a way to enable these features for videos on my iPad Pro M4? Moreover, is there any chance these features will be made available for video editing in the future? I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide information and share my feedback regarding this matter. Thank you. lightroom version v. 10.1.1
Hello, I'm using an iPad mini7. When I use the Lightroom in portrait mode, the picture looks so small that the work is so difficult. I hope I can see the picture on top like the phone version when I use it in portrait mode, and the work panel is set to the bottom. Please.
When working in the timeline, I often lock audio layers to prevent accidental changes. However, when using the Audio Channel Mixer, it's inconvenient to unlock a track after editing since I have to scroll through the timeline to locate and unlock the exact track manually. It would greatly improve workflow efficiency if a lock/unlock icon could be added directly to the Audio Channel Mixer, next to the mute and solo buttons. This would allow quick locking and unlocking of tracks without leaving the mixer, streamlining the editing process.
This is a suggestion/idea that comes from this thread If we are using the Lasso tool (as opposed to the Polygonal Lasso) in conjunction with the Alt key, we can close the selection by simply letting go of the Alt key. My suggestion is that it would be useful to be able to do this with the Pen tool. With 4K screens it can be difficult see the 'Close a path' icon (tiny circle). I'd like to be able to Alt click close to the start point of a workpath, and have it close the path. If you check the other thread, you'll see that there is interest to have such a feature. Thank you.
Is there any chance that the option to convert a batch of images to WebP could be introduced into the Photoshop Scripts/Image processor, rather than having to write an action to do it please?
Hi, could it be possible to generta materail variant when exporting a scane in GLBit could be verys useful for collaboration workflow and design review. https://github.com/KhronosGroup/glTF/blob/main/extensions/2.0/Khronos/KHR_materials_variants/README.md
Hello Photoshop community! This might be a niche idea for photoshop as it caters to my specific profession but I feel that what I am looking for wouldn't be all that hard for photoshop to accommodate. I own and operate a screen printing facility that primarily prints custom apparel for touring musicians and entertainers. The screen printing process requires that we separate art in to a chosen palette of spot colors--it's very rare that we print using a CMYK process. We are commonly provided art files that are complicated to work with and generally not "print ready". Taking rasterized files and breaking them in to spot colors is a HUGE headache and sometimes downright impossible to do manually. I've tried many scripts and tutorials and I do consider myself pretty proficient in photoshop but nothing I do manually can separate an image quite right. As a result, we're forced to spend hundreds of dollars a year on separation software and even that doesn't always work. What I would love is the functionality of the Image > Mode > Indexed Color wherein my final result is separated in to individual channels that I can see in the channels window. If I could extract channels or even layers from the 'Indexed Color' process, that would allow me to separate any art file in to the spot colors that I need to run a screen print. It would also take little to no time/effort which can't be said for current separation processes. I'm extremely envious of CMYK printers because Photoshop provides these channels to them by default. For all of us spot color printers, this functionality would be INCREDIBLE. I'm no programmer but I feel like Photoshop has the capability of doing this already via the Indexed Color process but as it functions right now, I don't get custom channels as a result--just a flattened art file that doesn't really help me in any way. That's my idea--if anybody has a solution for this already, I would LOVE to hear. Thanks!
With InDesign libraries, you can have many open at once as tabs. It makes jumping from one to another super easy (with a single click). With CC Libraries, you have to back out of the one you're in to find and open another, which is very cumbersome when needing assets from multiple libraries. Could there please be an option to 'open library in new tab' so we could have more than one open at a time? Thank you!
Kindly add a Zoom-to-Fit (Ctl/Cmd + 0) icon at top of PS window that is always visible. See embedded image. Since this command is used so frequently, it will save time by clicking icon instead of using keyboard.
If you are tethering your camera on a shoot, very often your hands are away from your computer and moving the mouse cursor to click on the Live View button is a bit slow. So it would be super helpful to have keyboard shortcut to start/close Live Capture. Also to rotate the orientation. I'm used to the shortcuts with Nikon Capture and Fuji's Capture app, but using LR directly for tethering and live view is a lot easier, if basic in functionality, but it gets the job done. Please consider this, Adobe.
When using Track Effects, it's hard to see, on a 4K screen, whether the effect is on or off. The icon is just a small grey thing, and a silly little faint grey line appears through it when it's off. Effect on: Effect off, apparently:Could this please be changed to something more obvious; green for on and red for off would be the clearest. I know it might not fit in with the "design aesthetic" or whatever, but absolutely nobody cares. Making the software more efficient to use should be the number one priority, rather than making us have to press our noses to the screen to make out these unfriendly UI features. This is how tiny that icon is in the "grand scheme of things". Is that effect off or on??...but if it had a colour-code, it'd be possible to see its state even from miles away:
Hey Adobe -- Maybe use your AI superpowers to write longer image descriptions that could be used for alt tags, and display the descriptions on the photo's detail page. The mini description/title isn't enough in many cases.
Please can you make the 2025 Premiere Pro upgrade compatible to open 2024 projects please, otherwise you can never open 2024 projects ever again and this is unacceptable. Microsoft can open all versions of Windows so I'd expect you can sort this out, especially when I'm paying a monthly subscription of over £20/m.
I would love to be able to add other file formats to Library or My Files, such as my custom Illustrator Settings, Color Settings, Custom Keysets, ICC profiles.
Creative Cloud > Select all > export. Right now I'm told I have to one by one export.
I know that wiggle effect is a thing for AE but is there really no simple , fast, easy way a wiggle effect can be applied to objects in AP?
EDIT: Sorry, this is in a completly wrong section. This is concerning the Adobe CC desktop app, not the forum. Hey all,I'm working on three PCs (Laptop, work-desktop and home-desktop). Since Adobe only alows two logins at the same time I always have to log in to CC whenever I switch to home office or back. But not only do I have to type my (for security reasons very complicated) password. But I still have to type my email adress every single time. Sure, I do use a passowrd manager. But since the Adobe CC does not allow Bitwarden to integrate, I still have to open the BW-app, login there and copy the Adobe-pw over. So PLEASE either...- keep the credentials saved locally with the CC-installation. Ideally in an encrypted file.- let password managers like Bitwarden to integrate to the login process.- make the login browser-based (where password managers can be integrated).- use any other login-method other than password (its 2025, we have authenticators and biometric logins).- or simply let me be signed in on all my devices and limit the simultaniously usable installations an other way.At least save the email adress.Anyways... Have great day in any case!
This isn't a software idea, but an interface idea. I wish it was possible to change the interface colors/themes with more flexibility. I think this goes for all adobe softwares, but black and white is boring. Similar to how you can in other softwares like blender.
If h.264 doesn't support alpha channels, why is it an option? I just wasted a bunch of time exporting all of my files in the wrong format because I figured it has to work if it's an option. Even RGB+Alpha is greyed out. So why not do it for the other alpha channel option?
Illustrator, in my opinion, handles this properly. It greys they menu item out. It's frustrating to accidently click 'Open in Bridge', which then automatically opens up CC and installs the app.
So I'm guessing that you haven't fixed the issue that there's no proper way to have a natural tail off to reverb?Reverb needs to actually tail off properly, not stop when the clip ends. Like with everything Adobe there's a ridiculous workaround, but considering the amount I've paid over the years I don't want workarounds. Mod note: New title was added.
