Dockable Portal NodesOpen for Voting

Hi Substance team! Really enjoying the new portal node and it's keeping graphs really clean and readable, it also encourages reusing nodes so it keeps the computation time down. I was wondering if there was a possibility to make portals dockable.Let's say something like this with a different color to differentiate it from other nodes. The reason I'm requesting for this is that, while moving things around, portals don't often get picked up when you drag nodes around unless you specifically marquee select them.It is often times more intuitive to grab the two nodes you want to move and just shift them to where you want them but at the moment, the portals would be left behind. This is also the case when trying to grab a node and holding Shift to expand the frame, but the portal gets left behind. My colleagues have the same sentiments about this which is why I'm making this request. It would be really great if something can be improved about this, thank you so much!

The most common file formats should be first in the list when clicking the curtain in Save as.For now, TIF is not visible so you have to scroll down to see it. Put Tif, jpg and such first in the list

 I am a new user and I spent a LONG time looking at this, thinking that "Frame size:" was the input I was meant to fill in, rather than "horizontal".  If you tweak the UI it could be way clearer.

Multiple Views for Status BarOpen for Voting

The GPU information in the Document Status is valuable. I however woud not want to turn off my image size display just to see my GPU status. While the info window has options to select multiple options to be displayed at once, I can't afford the screen real estate for another window. The ask is to let the user pick multiple options in the Document Status Bar not just one. Ex: Document Sizes, Document Dimentions, and GPU so the display in the Document Status bar would be viewed as: Doc:9.00/9.33M, 2048 px x 1536 px (72PPI), Metal

P: Partnering with Meta for streamlined uploadingOpen for Voting

I would like to see a partnership between Meta and Adobe where we are able to use Lightrooms services that allow us to upload to sites like Shootproof etc. If we had a way to edit our photos, and then upload them directly to Meta, we would be able to then drag and drop images from the collection in Meta and utilize their content planner more efficiently. You'd essentially cut out the middle man and directly upload your edits and then schedule the time and day for postings.

export Aero projects in different formats.Open for Voting

if we want to put the scene into something else, another program, or anything, nothing accepts the .REAL format that Aero exports to. There are no converters that I know of that convert .REAL either.

LiDAR on Adobe AeroOpen for Voting

It would be really useful to be able to integrate LiDAR functions on Adobe Aero. It is really a shame to partially nullify the effect of the projects because of the impossibility of being able to superimpose real elements present in the scene. This update would be particularly useful with geolocated projects.

Please make Adobe Media Encoder less bad.Open for Voting

I'm making an animated GIF and I can't even control the file size.I speak on behalf of most customers of Adobe Media Encoder when I say we want control over how video formats are encoded. You pitch AME to be a professional tool, with more features than your free competitors, yet I can't even see an estimate of the file size when converting to an animated gif, let alone change the compression ratio.If you want to catch up with 2023, take a look at open source freeware 'Screen 2 gif' which really makes me wonder why I pay for AME. It's a very different app, but more reliable and does the job it set out to do much better. I can control so much more HOW it encodes - which at the end of the day, is the ONE job AME has. I need to create a gif for Twitter, and limit is 15mb. AME gives me literally no option to make my very short, simple, low res, minimal colours gif a smaller size. Literally zero control over compression. Please just speak to us about how we want to convert videos and animations, because you're still pretty far off the mark, even after 15 years and a hefty subscription fee.Thanks

Perspective CorrectionOpen for Voting

I am not a pro with Adobe products, but all of the perspective correction tools I have seen in Photoshop or Lightroom seem to involve stretching the top part of an image until the sides are straight. What I am interested in is taking a photograph of a building and converting it to what would be the equivalent of an architectural elevation. This would involve straightening the image, but also stretching it vertically. I imagine this would involve calculating the difference between the bottom and top lengths of the skewed image and using that to calculate how foreshortened the image is, which in turn would allow for a calculated and graded stretching of the image. Imagine a brick wall 20 feet wide and 20 feet tall. All brick courses are the same height. But in a photo taken from the ground, the courses at the bottom would be the right height but those higher up would appear shorter, due to the perspective. At the same time the wall would taper inward in the photo as well. There must be a way to use a measurement of that taper to determine how much the photo should be stretched at each course of bricks. (or presumably each row of pixels in the image) At the bottom it would be negligible, and would increase more as you go up. If done properly the result would be a square image with all of the brick courses being the same height. Some algorithm would have to be created to allow this, but it seems mathematically logical... As an architectural historian, a tool like this would allow me to use images to make approximate vertical measurements of building elements.

Option for placing layer as link as defaultOpen for Voting

I would love to have an option in the settings, where I can decide, if I want an image as a layer to be linked, not embeded by default (similar to how in InDesign works). It would reduce the file sizes a lot, and I do work with files, that are just too big (eg. 22gb .psb files), and makeing them linkable is kinda bad right now.

Hi, I want a links panel like in Indesign that shows both embedded and linked images/smartobjects.And also a function to select individual embedded/linked image and convert it back to unembedded (if it was linked) or linked (if it was embedded).

Integrate Reference Frames in Fill Layer?Open for Voting

I would like it when the Fill Layer resulting from a Content-Aware Fill has no 'holes' at the frames where a reference frame was created. That would allow us to remove the reference frames after the Fill Layer is created. Maybe a switch to switch to this new proposed feature on and off?

Source window muting optionOpen for Voting

It would be great to be able to mute the source window, especially if you're editing an event consisting of fooatge from an event recorded with loud music. I understand you can select allt he clips and use 'audio clip mixer' but I think it would be beneficial to be able to just mute the source window so you can, say, listen to music whilst editing. Thanks!

P: Have option to view/search Image Aspect Ratio (i.e. 1.5)Open for Voting

Lightroom Library View/Loupe View should have option to view Image Aspect Ratio (i.e. 1.5).  Often when selecting images for use in publications created in Indesign and also for planning for print and framing, it is useful and in many cases critical to know the edited images aspect ratio.  This is a simple calculation with information aready captured and retained in Lightroom, namely Pixel Height/Pixel Width.   To be able to immediately view and identify Edited images of select aspect ratios and even better to search and sort by image aspect ratio should be an easy and very useful to Lightroom users focused on Printing and or creation of publications, which I imagine most everybody.  Please add this feature ASAP!  Thx!

Wacom Hell, always and forever 🙌Open for Voting

Thanks in advance for hearing me out.  One of my biggest issue in reinstalling my OS is getting the wacom tablet to work in Photoshop correctly. I need "windows ink" but not "pen and touch," I still get the little "alt" and the pop up text box but ok. Ah, right click works but not on the pallets. Why? This is such a broken system that when I think about migrating computers or reinstalling the OS I almost only think about how much it will suck for the week following bc of wacom+windows junk+photoshop.... I wish more than anyting that photoshop could have it's own solution. I mean there was that PSConfig.txt hack from many years ago so there must be a way to do it at the software level? Idellaly, and I think this is the case for most people, the mouse and tablet would more or less be the same but with pen pressure.... Honestly that's all the matters to most stylus artists - the rest is a workflow luxury but pen pressure, cant live without it.  Just a super simple intuative set of parameters to control tablet in phtoshop. Alas, instead we have all the junky windows bs burries in multiple system panels, constantly popping up, or behaving unexpectidly bc some micorsoft engineer who has never worked as a artist is gaming out all the "features" to impress the products team with. Its really sht for user expierence. And its been this way for a decade or more.  I wouldnt expect adobe to do anything about and they'll probably say it isn't possible. That ok, I have low expectation for any fixes or features that wont make for flashy youtube ads.  Thank you again for thaking the time.

P: Add time support to Smart Collection date fields for improved filteringOpen for Voting

Hello,   It would be great if the Smart Collection date fields could support time in addition to the date. This would allow us to create filters like "Capture Date" in the range of 2024-09-22 08:00 to 2024-09-22 08:45.   As a scuba diver, I take a lot of photos during my dives. On any given day, I might do one to four dives (especially on holidays), each at a different dive spot. I would like to have a smart collection for each dive spot, rather than just for the entire day, as it would greatly help my workflow.   For example, on September 22, 2024, I went diving at Spot A and Spot B, where I took: Photos 1, 2, and 3 at Dive Spot A between 08:00 and 08:45 AM. Photos 4, 5, and 6 at Dive Spot B between 11:00 and 11:55 AM.   Currently, I can only specify the date itself, which means I end up with a single smart collection containing all the photos from September 22, 2024, without the ability to differentiate between dive times.   Perhpas there is an alternative that I'm not aware of ?   Thank you,   Pierre-Benoît

Add a script/transcript reader/viewer window, PLEASE!!Open for Voting

I Know I'm not the first to say this, but definitely been a while since this question was addressed.I do alot of voiceover reads that come in all shapes and sizes, but most of the time it's just text on screen copied from a web page, as well as scratch and professional reads for work using transcripts, srt's, google docs, pdf's, etc. I realize that audition is an audio only workflow, as I've read in other forums, but why can't there be a simple text only window added to the (window) menu where you can copy/paste or input text into a field? Having to switch back and forth between pages while reading, or collapsing and expanding windows is kind of a pain, and yes, I have a dual monitor but the angles of my monitor vs where my mic is positioned isn't always in favor of that technique if I'm reading, or standing away from my desktop. Likewise scrolling while you read a document in another window can be distracting to the content you are making, and I prefer not to have to jup back and forth from interfaces when I can work in one smooth interface, like the beautiful dark hues of audition.Premiere has a transcripting feature now and so many of your new programs have text based workflows so how hard could this be? I whipped up a visual example using illustrator for you.

Wwhen a video export in premiere/AME fails due to insufficient storage space could we not resume where we left off with the 90% complete file instead of starting from scratch? Seems like an easy feature to add when you already have pause and resume.

Misconception in Premiere regarding how to define sizes/dimensions for effectsOpen for Voting

I'm not asking here for help or a guidance how to avoid problems, I can help myself very well.For me it's a strange misconception in Adobe Premiere not being able to define pixel based width and height for a pixel based media when resizing or cropping pixel based sources. Many of the effects provide percentage values only instead pixel values. Why is it like this? Just watch to the all the other Adobe Tools working pixel based like After Effects or Photoshop. In these tools it seems to be not a problem to implement it.Please, Adobe, fix that misconception soon!!!I'm really tired to always doing trial and error to find best percentage values.Thanks!

Option to export captions in Video Text Tracks Format (.vtt)Open for Voting

Hi there - I'm from the University of Canberra and currently we need to export sidecar captions files in .srt format and use an external converter tool to convert caption files to .vtt for all content created that needs to be uploaded to our video hosting software Echo Video.  If we could export directly to .vtt this would be a gamechanger and save us so much time in our processses.
