I am unable to make Lightroom read the Crop Mode (software/user one) that was used when shooting an image. This I know works fine for Canon and Leica products in LR but not with X1D it's just not working.I have verified that this information is present in the 3FR files and also saved by LR when converted into DNGs.It's in MakerNoteHasselblad > Unknown_0x0059Of course the "workaround" is to use Hasselblad's Phocus software - but as it seems so easy to implement I want to request that it gets looked into.
Was it ever possible to option+click or cmd click in PP to revert an eased keyframe to a normal/linear keyframe?I feel like I was able to do this until recently or was I just imagining it because its possible to do it in AE(e.g. https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/how-to-revert-an-easy-ease-keyframe-to-a-normal-one/m-p/2353575) Is there a way to switch it on in PP or does it need to be a kb shortcut?
I do not like the popups of any kind that covers over content. there is plenty of space on top for notifications and options. screen realestate is critical for all developers. so i hit fav and now cant click share! because the popup is in the way.
In instances where a large batch of photos involves different lighting conditions (indoors, outdoors, too dark, too light, etc.), it would be nice for Lightroom to be able to find all photos with the same lighting conditions so that I can auto-apply my color/lighting edits to the others that were taken in the same spaces. This would be very helpful for event photographers whose photos were taken in a variety of spaces and lighting conditions.
I'm not sure if someone else already wrote something like this but I had some weird stuff happening with the prompts I wrote. Like for example I would write "cheetah and bunny running together" and I would get a hybrid cheetah bunny or only a cheetah. I know Google uses punctuation marks so maybe it also can be used here?Like write: "cheetah" and "bunny" running together. So the 2 animals won't be merged in 1 weird animal?
I've been using PS for nearly 20 years and have always been frustrated by the actions panel. I use button view and have quite a collection of actions to help process images, perhaps too many. It's VERY time consuming to scroll through them all trying to locate the one I want to use. I know them by name, but locating them is difficult as the are not loaded alphabetically. For years, I've been trying to figure out where the search bar is to simply type in the action name to locate and implement a specific action I want to use. I've never found this and it seems quite obvious, rudimentary and necessary for efficiency when processing photos. Why can't I find this?? Please tell me there IS a search bar option to alleviate the time suck that searching row by row for a name in a sea of hundreds can be?!!! It's baffling that a beast of a program like PS would not have a simple tool like this. Also, is it possible to create multiple tabs in the action panel where I could sort the actions by type (for example a tab for skin/teeth/eyes actions, a tab for sunlight overlays, a tab for color tone actions, a tab for all black and white actions, etc) to help shorten the search party and organize them into smaller specific groups to locate what I'm looking for, if there isn't a simple search by name option?
Please bring back the original rendering info panel. In After Effects 2022 and older versions when rendering there was more information about what AE was doing. If you turn down the "Current Render" tab it would tell you what frame, layer, and action it was on. This was very helpful to understand what parts of a comp is slowing down the redner or causing errors. Please bring this feature back. Thank you.
Use OptiX for 3d renders but sometimes it does more harm than good baking it into renders. There are artifacts esp when you use it in scenes with volumetrics that aren't processed well by the denoiser. It would be much more useful to push the denoising process entirely into post so we can have more fine control. It would be amazing if AE had OptiX denoising built-in. I understand that the OptiX code/libraries etc are all publicly available to use in any applicationThanksR.
Since it's now 2024 and it was implemented in 2020(ish) there has been no further integration of the ProEXR plug in. So I'd like to request that the functionality of ProEXR be integrated fully into the Render Que.Currently we only have the following options. While the ProEXR exporter has the following that are inaccessible by the RenderQue options. The "Include layer composite" is clutch cargo when trying to deliver embedded mattes to a DI house (or really any number of other reasons).Right now the access to the rendering of layered composites can not be queued, or access by any other tools and this is a drag since it also can not given post render actions, scripted, or accessed by scripting tools like Automation Blocks (my current favorite non-Adobe tool in AE). Thanks for your consideration and hopeful implementation.
Kind Greetings, I realize this may have been proposed already, however I could not locate a thread on it: My request is: Please add ability to open or hide all font families in Adobe CC - Adobe Fonts. Similar to the layers control click, used to hide or view all layers in InDesign; or a pulldown. Whenever I open Adobe fonts, all families are expanded by default. I'd also like them to be closed by default, which is better for my workflow. Thank you!
Hello community, The new audio fade handles are a great feature. I'd like to see the same for video clips. I think It would make the UI more consistent and quicker between audio and video track editing. Thank you!
When creating multiple variation for Image to text it would be helpful to mark favorites in a way they immediately stand out from all generations. For instance with a heart or star icon that is widely used. The mockup shows both states outlined and filled. Obviously there should only be one icon in the corner.
When I am editing a lot of photos and I need to crop an image, I usually use the non crop tool. When I'm done, depending on the size of the document, I have to use the slide bars to move the image back into center view. Seems to me there should be a "return image to center after cropping". Adobe help line suggests I use the crop tool which will keep the image centered but then that creates another issue. If I want to just save that newly cropped document back to a .jpg, I have to flatten the image which creates another step or thing to do. Then Adobe suggested to use the crop tool to keep the image centered and then just save it as a copy. Well then that created yet another issue, you now have 2 documents, the original and now a copy. I don't need or desire another copy, I'm just lookig to keep my cropped doument centered on my screen without needing to add any more mouse clicks, or copies, etc. If it can't be done then I'm Ok with that but this doesn't seem to be that difficult for Adobe to look at or improve. If there is a simple way to do this (like in the preferences) then I can't find it and the Adobe online help person I was working with must not be aware of it either or else the person would have shown me that. Maybe I am the only person who would like to see this and it's not worth Adobe's efforts - I'm OK with that too. So the best thing to do is make this recommendation and see what happens.
Simple feature suggestion. Add a swap X/Y (or perhaps R/A or A/R) button in the grey bar at the bottom that allow me to swap the Active and Reference photo when in Reference view. Sometimes I select my reference photo and then open an image in Reference view and I think "hmm, I actually prefer the active one over the reference one", and at that point I want to swap them and alter the reference photo instead. Currently, I have to come out of develop view, re-set the reference photo and then click on the other image again. It would be so much easier if there was a swap button at the bottom like the Library side by side view has. Another use case is that I have my reference photo on the left and make tweaks to the active photo on the right, but then I take things a bit further and think, "hmm, now I want to add that change to the reference photo". I know some people may dismiss this and say "reference means that it's the one you're trying to match to, so you shouldn't be able to change it". I disagree. Sometimes editing is a process of continual tweaking and LR needs to enable that in an easy way.
Having to use a 3rd party plugin like Duik, Rubberhose, Limber etc is fine BUT it is nowhere near as fast as using something like ToonBoom, Cavalry or Adobe Animate when animating characters. It basically prevents decent complex character animations in After Effects as it just takes too long as it thinks... and thinks... and thinks. Please Adobe. Fix it.
Photos can be added to the library module via drag-and-drop, i.e. imported. However, if the development module is open, drag-and-drop no longer works. Which is a great pity. I would like it if it would work in all places of Lightroom Classic and the import dialog would always open when you drag photos into the program.
It'd be great to be able to create a smart album that you can set to imports within the last XX hours/days so that you have quick access to the files that you've imported recently, as the Previous Imports selector under the catalog section gets replaced as soon as you do another import. So, when you have multiple cards to import and they may span multiple dates, it can be difficult to go back and find all the photos again to properly keyword them. This isn't too necessary for people who shoot a session and then import, but for those of us that have a walk around camera where we only shoot a couple photos a day and import sporadically, it'd be great, as I have photos spread out over the last month or so and need to go back and find them.
Hello Today, when I'm editing an event, I'm using "paste previous" to duplicate settings between photos. When I'm working with two cameras, the settings are slightly different between the cameras. Or for example I need separate settings for one area in the room and other area. So now when I'm editing, for each photo I'm looking for the previous photo that has the settings that I want, switching to that photo and then going back to the photo I'm editing to paste the settings. If it was possible to create separate paste shortcuts like "paste-1" "paste-2" etc it would be efficient and easier to use. Many thanks Rami
Hi Adobe, The Lightroom Classic desktop UI looks incredibly outdated. I'm not sure there's good reason for this given its popularity. Please update the user interface to match your other software like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc. A modern, lean styling would not only look better, it would be more competitive with alternatives, and it would provide additional screen real estate for users. Thank you.
Everytime I open a project containing a multicam sequence, the Program view switches to display "Video" when I'm editing the multicam sequence, so I don't get to see the source camera thumbnails. Thus, I need to manually re-enable "Multicam" view in Program view settings every time I open the sequence for the first time during a session: This is cumbersome. Please, store the view setting along with the sequence data and enable the previously selected view type every time the sequence is being opened.
Adobe - hello, I’m not sure if it’s possible or not but I’d love to have a left handed option for Lightroom cc on the iPad - where all of the settings are on the left. It’s especially tough when using the Apple Pencil with it crossing over the image. I know that’s a huge ask and probably not in the pipeline but thought I’d throw it out there. Thanks. Jeff
