I've used the background remover tool from both Adobe Express and Photoroom. However, when I then upload the resulting image to Illustrator, it shows up with the original background removed but with a distorted version of the image as well. Sometimes I can troubleshoot this by choosing to download the modified image to my files v. to my photos, but eventually neither work. This is a new issue as of the past few months. I have otherwise used both apps/tools and the same process to do this successfully for months and months prior. Any insight is much appreciated!
Is there a reason the program does not allow multiple tabs on iPad? Is it a compatabilty issue?
Will illustrator ever get the ai features the desktop version has? It feels like since the photoshop and illustrator iPad apps came out that the photoshop has made leaps and bounds compared to the illustrator app which is essentially on the same version now that came out in oct 2022 with minor bug fixes. it's frustrating to be able to be so creative with the Apple Pencil and then have to switch to the full version on a computer.
When trying to open any on screen panels or icons etc they open and immediately close automatically making them totally useless and i cannot change any values. This does not happen in any other program i.e. photoshop lightroom etc. Not sure if there is a setting i can change. I have tried re-enstalling illustrator but the problem remains.Any advise please.
Just checking I'm not missing something - is there a way to view full screen artwork in Illustrator for iPad? (i.e., temporarily hide all the tools)I'd love to use Illustrator for iPad for pattern design (dressmaking) and then project straight from my iPad onto fabric but, even though the interface is as small and sleek as it can possibly be, all the tools still take up valuable projection space.
Does illustrator for iPad have object snapping. I just got the app today so I'm still learning my way around.
I am trying to create custom font my editing existing typeface on my iPad. I am able to turn it into an outline, ungroup it and select it, but when I draw it always goes on top of the existing letter, it doesn't change the letter directly. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it? I know how to do it on a PC but not an iPad.
I'm having an issue where I need to export a PDF for print. It's only A6 size but exports a massive file size. (like 26MB) On desktop I understand that you would "Print PDF" to avoid this issue, but as that is not an option from the iPad version I'm not sure what to do.
Yellow Legends, I have just downloaded the latest version of illustrator for iPad. I have just started to try using text. I click on the text icon and the text box opens
I want to sketch in Illustrator on an iPad, then transfer the sketch to a desktop running the full version of Illustrator.1) is this possible?2) will I have to pay for both versions of Illustrator?I have heard the mobile app on iPad is not that great, any input?
Can anyone help. Is it possible to add a drop shadow on the iPad? Thanks a lot.
Designing a project on your iPad to only realize the Raster effect is set to 72 ppi when you need 300 ppi... I know I know the dpi/ppi... and vector this and that BUT I overstand the difference once saved as a .png or .jpeg Easiest solution is to create a new file and select the "PRINT" option for 300 ppi.
Hello, I've recently downloaded Illustrator on my ipad to create vector art, and it kept crashing, till I got to a point where I cant work anymore. The app crashes a few seconds after I start to draw. I tried uninstalling and re installtion, I also made sure I have everything updated but its still not doing anything. I have a 9th generation Ipad version iPadOS 18.2.1, model number MK2L3LL/A Please help! Thank you, Zaina
Hi. I'm a complete newbie with about two weeks of Illustrator experience. I took a .jpg of a custom font that doesn't exist anywhere. And I'm making other letters in the same style of the custom font .jpg so it says something completely different. I'm completely done and I like how it looks, but I have some issues with transparency in a few small places. I've discovered that I can use the "erase" tool to erase the white color that is causing my transparency issues, however I can't do it accurately. Here's my question....it is extremely difficult to erase precisely, right up against the perfectly straight lines of each character in the font. Is there a way to use a different tool than the eraser to make very precise areas of transparency right up to each character? Seems I should be able to use the pen tool to make precise guides of which areas I want to eliminate. Thanks.
I've just got to say, I just moved from Ipad to Android and the software support for android is absolute crap. We've had Fresco and now Illustrator out for Apple and next to nothing for android? Yes, Illustrator Draw, which has about 5 total features within the whole app. Yay for android. On a serious note, does Apple co. run Adobe? If so then this all would make sense. I tried doing searches and there's quite a few topics about trying to bring software to andriod and the only thing adobe moderators here have to say is "we're working on it soon" (even though these posts are years old) or "here's a link to voice your opinion" (which obviously hasn't worked much since android still has bottom of the barrel apps from Adobe). Apple is completely... I'll leave that for another day. But I'm surprised the android community doesn't have more, unless someone can please enlighten me as to the "why" Adobe has put so very little out if you do really know what's up? sorry for t
I have Adobe illustrator for my laptop and my iPad and whenever I open a file or start a new file after a little while the app was just crashed. It will sometimes work for a little bit, but then it will crash. I don't know what's causing the problem I need help please. I don't know if it has to do with my Apple Pencil or not , so far, I have removed the app and restart my iPad and then reinstall illustrator on my iPad and it did not help with the crash issue my email is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <Personal information removed by MOD>
I have over a month of work saved on one illustrator file on my iPad which has been saving and opening fine until now. I have opened the file today and half of my work has gone. Most of the work that's gone are images/photos. It's a large file so I understand that it takes longer to load but I have tried to revert to an older version but that hasn't worked either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
is there any way to know the length of an arc created in adobe illustrator in ipad pro
Cannot figure how to change the the 'art board' to transparent on the iPad version of illustrator! Just need a logo with a transparent background. Thanks!
Hello!I'm currently using my iPad( IOS 17.4.1) with Illustrator (3.0.6) to colour in an illustration and am getting extremely slow brush strokes and a crash after every two or three. The file is 5.5mb , the only file on my Creative Cloud. In the drawing there is black outline with 20 Colours. I have 37.16 GB of local free disk space on the iPad and 97% free disk space on Creative Cloud. I've tried restarting, and reinstalling Illustrator, to no avail. If there are any suggestions about next steps to get this sorted I would really appreciate it.Crash Logs are attached.
Se puede hacer líneas de sangrado y corte en la versión de iPad de Illustrator?
Has anyone got a fix for missing fonts on an Ipad?Everytime i load up a design, certain fonts appear in a pink box with an exclamation mark, i go to change the font back and the font has disappeared, i look into the font categories and select a category, Say Comic Category and all that in visible is INDIVIDUAL TAG FONT LIST.The only fix i have found is to delete the app and reinstall the app to get the fonts back, obviously this is not practical. It does this on the two ipads i have, both are upto date with iOS and the ilutrator apps. One ipads 8th gen and the other is a 2024 ipad air, which was bought to run Illustrator without the previous bugs i've had which adobe can't fix. It's getting very expensive to run Adobe Illustrator when i factor in all the issues
Illustrator was my first graphics software several decades ago. I drifted away from it, into bitmap graphics. Now, I want to try using it again... but finding useful -- and basic -- how-to information seems to be impossible! The videos and tutorials I have found assume I have more than basic knowledge. I'm tired of clicking unfamiliar icons and looking for actual help.I want to be able to understand settings and how the app is supposed to work. I am an old fart and long for the days when there was an actual (printed) user manual that I could flip through or use a TOC or index to quickly find useful information; I do not appreciate having to sit through you-tube videos or tutorials just to (maybe) learn how to do something.
How do I add anchor points to a path?
