Have InCopy/InDesign versions 17.4.1 & 17.4.2 been deprecated in Creative Cloud?If so, where can I get the installers for these version?Thanks,Balazs

Can anyone advise on this error please?InCopy.exe Cannot load the CTRLCHANGES.PLN plug-in. it is dependent on the CTRLLICENSEMANAGER.PLN plug-in, which failed to load.

Hello, I am hoping that someone can offer some guidance for this issue. I am working on a PC running Windows 10. In InCopy when I am editing the content, if I hit Enter, it creates a page break and the lines get overset even if there is still room in the text box.  Is there a solution for this so that hitting Enter moves the text to the next line rather than creating a page break? Thank you!

Hi. I need your help because the info on Adobe web-site did not fix my problem.  Last week I activated a free-trial version of InCopy for a week, ending on december, 26th, and starting the paid version after that date.  Yesterday and today I tried over and over again to cancel my subscription, following the instructions on the Adobe Support page, but on my Adobe account I cannot find the subscription to InCopy. I find indeed active a subscription to Creative Cloud, but I cannot stop neither this one. Finally, I did not find any solution in the web-site FAQs.Can anyone help me, please?I paste here the screenshot of the message of Adobe Virtual Assistent.Thanks in advance,caterina  

Hi all,We are trying to figure out the best way to sync files between 4 people. Right now we are uploading and dowloading files to Teams, but this creates many copies and is quite cumbersome. With Creative Cloud Files being discontinued, does anyone have any recommendations on how the 4 of us can sync InCopy and InDesign assignment files without having to continuously upload and download? A server-like system would be great. Thanks.

Hello all,  I currently design a small magazine using InDesign and the editor makes edits via InCopy, naturally. We use Dropbox to sync and save files. As a freelance designer, I love to travel and work remotely. My question:Has anyone ever had trouble using the InDesign/InCopy workflow while being in a different country than their editor? (I've had no problems while being in different parts of the United States, of course, but I want to make sure I won't have any of those problems if I'm in Spain and my editor is in the US.) Many thanks!

Hi, my indesign colleague and I share a dropbox.  I can open the assignment he puts there, but it will only save to a folder on my computer that the program creates.  I've tried deleting that folder, but it keeps reappearing.  when I copy that folder to dropbox, it won't open.  I can't save the assignment from incopy to anywhere, it saves automatically only to that folder.  I can't even find anything online to explain how to save elsewhere. . . .

In upgrading to CC InCopy and InDesign, we changed our fonts to comply (New Century Schoolbook to  SchoolBook). Unfortunately, compostion titles (i.e. The Washington Post and our newspaper's name) revert back to New Century Schoolbook when typed and refuse to change to the new fonts, no matter how much we try. Is there an easy fix of going into the program to change those fonts so they show up correctly?

When hovered the mouse the alert is "text content is out of date" and when i try to Update Content it doesn't work. The problem is when check out content, it always prompts a window where needs to press Yes to continue. Any ideas of how to work around this "problem"?Thank you in advance.

Hello! I'm currently working with a workflow that is leaving a lot of room for human error and was looking into Incopy to help improve my current workflow within our department with copy. We have a brand guideline of our copyboxes for company's catalog that looks like this:  I'm wondering if there is a way in Incopy to make this editable while not updating the priceline. My reason being is the pricing changes periodically throughout the catalog year so I need to be able to update the body copy when needed and change the pricing when needed but not have the pricelinee update in other books where pricing is different. Hope that makes sense!  At this point I'm considering making the priceline it's own copy box and just grouping the two.

Hi, I am unable to open file type with the extension ICMT in InCopy 2023. It gives me the error "Cannot open the file. Adobe InCopy may not support the file format, or the plug-in that supports the file format may be missing". The user manual suggests that InCopy supports ICMT file types. Please advise. One of my team members is attempting to open a .icma file in InCopy and is receiving a pop-up that says: Because the document contains InCopy stories, Gallery View and Story View are not available. They are therefore unable to edit text. However, when I open the file, I am able to edit and access Gallery and Story View. Is there a way to determine what is stopping a team member from accessing the file?  For additional context: One of our other team members creates the InCopy files using InDesign and then we access it from a shared server remotely. We are using the 2023 versions of both programs. 

I am brand new to InCopy so this might just be user error - in that case please forgive my stupidity. I ahev already looked at the InCopy help but could not find a solution. I have opened an INDD file in InCopy. I need to be able to select the text so I can translate it and enter the translated text back into the file. I have tried using the type tool to grab the text, but the moment I click anywhere on the screen with text, it jumps back to the position pool. I also tried to switch to Galley view, but nothing happens.  Please advise. What am I doing wrong? 

My designer is working on a magazine for us and was specifically adding photo credits into their own individual text frames. He created the caption for one image and added it to the inCopy assignment (the icml file and name of the content under the Assignment is #139). He then copied that frame and pasted it next to another image, just changing the text inside.  The problem is, when that new text frame was pasted and then added to the assignment, it had the exact same name as the content that was copied—139 (photo attached). And an additional icml file wasn't created. For some reason, they're both tied to the same icml file, which means when I fixed a typo in one of those captions, the other caption immediately became the same exact thing.  Is this a bug or is this by design? Should he not be coping and pasting text boxes like that? The fix, as far as I found, was to choose one of those two text boxes, Unlink Content, then re-add it to the assignment. When I di

Hello!! I'm trying to get InCopy rolled out to our entire design team to help with our longer format projects. We've been using CC to collaborate and on smaller projects have been successful. However we just recently ran into an issue where a designer made a quick copy change requested by a client and when our proofreader went into InCopy to do his part that edit wasn't there and he was unable to access the 'Update Document' button despite it very clearly needed to be updated. All assignments were checked in and everyone's CC appeared to have been synced. HELP!  

Hello,I've made this request at the Adobe InDesign Feature Requests but for no avail, and nobody answered nor voted for my request. So I'm posting this problem here so that I can find a solution.I'll basically repost the text I wrote last year on InDesign Feature Requests:I copydesk book files using InCopy. The book comes to me in chapters, 1 chapter per file (usually 8), each in a separate subfolder. I work on each book/chapters for several weeks, so I have to close/open them several times a week (and turn off my computer every day, of course). I know there must be a way to merge these documents into a book or something like that, but that's not the point here (I have to accept this workflow and manage it as best I can). Also, I'm not talking here about file tabs, of course (I open several documents in tabs using the workflow I've just mentioned). The point is that there should be a way of opening more than one file at a time without me having to click Open Recent > [choose file] f

I'm an editor using InCopy 17.3 for Mac, and I need a keyboard shortcut for toggling between the "Preview" and "Normal" screen modes in Layout view. I know it can be done in InDesign (either by typing "w" or with a tool) but I am not finding a way to do it in InCopy. I also can't find a way to create a keyboard macro that could do it. I have found a macro function in InCopy for text expansion, but not for menu navigation. Do you have any ideas or advice for me? I use the View menu to toggle to Preview all day long and would love a quicker method.  Thank you for any advice you may have for me about InCopy!

If I check in the text boxes once I have done some editing, will that save the file? I'm working on InCopy files from a server. I open them up, check out the text boxes, do some editing and then check them back in. Should I save as well? I don't want to create an extra file, just update the one that's on the server. When I do what I've been doing, I notice that the date and time does not change when I close the file. Have my changes been saved? Thank you all so much! 

Hi! 🙂I have Photoshop Elements and don't want to upgrade. I'd like to be able to use Adobe fonts in it on my two computers. I'm looking for the cheapest way to do that. I see that InCopy has the cheapest subscription of all the Adobe products.  If I subscribe, do I have to download InCopy (which I don't want) or can I just start using Adobe fonts in Elements? Can I use it on both my laptops, or just one? Thanks very much for any help. The Adobe chatbot won't talk sense to me!

For no reason at all that I can ascertain, the Find/Change function on my InCopy stopped working. I've tried every way: keyboard shortcut (my usual), the "magnifying glass" icon, the EDIT>FIND/CHANGE manual command, nothing. I've tried shutting down/restarting the application; rebooting my Mac, nothing. I imagine I might have to uninstall/reinstall the software, which I'd prefer not to do, since that would kill my preferences. If that's the only solution, so be it, but hoping someone has an easier fix?
