Кто-ибудь может мне наглядно объяснить, за что отвечает флажок Show Assigned Frames в меню View — Extras?Can someone explain me clearly what the Show Assigned Frames checkbox in the View - Extras menu is responsible for?

For the last three or four weeks, when we try to update the link for a Share for Review, it crashes InDesign and throws up an Error Report window. The shared file on the Creative Cloud web only updates partially - it shows all of the comments and the updated text, but the highlights and other markers don't relocate. Everyone can still comment, but their view of the document isn't accurate. We've upgraded to 19.1 then to 19.2 since this started, but it's not fixed. And now with 19.2 , when the Error Report window opens, the Submit Report button is missing, so I can't even report the error through InDesign anymore.

I've been having so many issues with InDesign lately. The most recent issue is that I cannot export my file. This error message comes up when I try to export. It says there may be a problem with page 26, which was a blank page. I deleted the page and still cannot export. InDesign also keeps crashing. I tried uninstalling InDesign and re-installing it on my computer.  What else should I try? Thanks!

When I enter multiple lines of text in a MultilineTextEditBoxWidget, I want to be able to move the cursor up and down using the up and down arrow keys. However, currently, the cursor can only move left and right.I'm not sure if this is due to a missing parameter setting or if the MultilineTextEditBoxWidget provided by the SDK does not support this functionality. However, I noticed that in InDesign's PDF Export dialog, the multiline input field already supports this behavior.

Strange that there is no option to align to bleed(cut-offs) in the alignment panel? Is it that the officials don't think it's useful?I personally need it. What about you guys?     <Title renamed by MOD>

I've read the documenation here, which is pitifully inadequate to say the least. It also presents not one but two bad links that are supposed to take you to info about the Links panel or menu. Opening this "tool" reveals a panel with a bunch of thumbnails on it. I may have loaded the "conveyor" with all items from a document in my first experiment with it. Clicking on the thumbnails on this conveyor does nothing. Selecting an item on a page and attempting to "load" the conveyor from the selection does nothing. There's no apparent way to remove stuff from the conveyor. There does not appear to be any way to name any of the items in this thing. So, for example, if you have two reusable elements that are visually similar, there's no way to tell which one you're looking at in this row of dinky images. There's no explanation of the numeral that appears on some thumbnails. Switching to "content placer" and clicking on the page dumps a huge load of text that is apparently

I'm using InDesign for an Arabic book, so I downloaded the Middle East version.My issue is that a few textboxes have words written backwards and when I delete and try to type the words correctly, they're also written backwards.Any advice? Thank you.

I have a set of records that I need to sort by a random number. I have tried to use the RANDOM command by defining it as an Integer but that doesn't work, it returns a zero for all records. I am not sure what that command actually does so that might be the problem but nonetheless I would like help on how to assign numbers randomly to a found set of records. Thanks.

I've got a really basic indesign file that I'm using to present visual concepts.It contains links to, not embedded, PSD and other INDD files.For some daft reason, this has resulted the file size becoming 2.67gb. When I use Save As to try and mitigate this, it roughly halves the file size. but that's still ridiculously large for a file that's just displaying links to other files. This feels like a very old bug that has never been resolved judging by other posts from users over the years. Has a solution ever been found?

My goal is to streamline master pages and style sheets that require duplicating whenever a section's color is used. Additionally, since other artists will be making updates as well, I have some reservations about using David’s solution because it would require them to be aware of the necessary triggers for GREP styles.Any insights or suggestions on this topic would be greatly appreciated!Thank you!

Hi all, I am having a very frustrating time trying to get my paragraph rules to edit or save in my paragraph styles setting. I am able to initially create paragraph rules and edit using all the typical functions. When I save the document and open it up later, or create a copy and try to edit the paragraph styles --> paragraph rules on the new document, none of the currently displayed paragraph rules settings are saved. THUS, the original paragraph rules are stuck on the page!! I cannot delete them or adjust them or do anything at all with them. Please help!!!

Hi,I have the impression that InDesign only exports documents from the InDesign format to PDF. Is that correct? Is it possible for InDesign to export directly to Word, or is PDF the only option?

When I copy a book with its documents to another computer.My files are not ready to be packaged and merged. I've had to copy to another computer to modify it (such as required for a business trip).I need to take the whole catalog with me for now.Their “Document fonts” are almost the same. If I have 10 documents, is it too much space for me to have 10 Document fonts?Can all documents share a single MyDocument Fonts? 

J'ai fait tous les forums, testé chaque paramètre un par un mais rien n'y change.Actuellement des blocs dépassent dans mes fonds perdus et mon imprimeur me demande bien qu'ils dépassent (logique) pour faciliter la découpe.Or, après exportation, mes fonds perdus apparaissent vide.Si quelqu'un a déjà eu ce problème et une solution, je suis preneur !Merci.

Never figured it out, was it forgotten or did Adobe feel it wasn't needed?It's necessary when links are missing and you need to find images. Also, I wonder what the difference is between “copy full path” and “copy platform style path”? Suddenly there's an idea, wouldn't it be beautiful if InDesign allowed to add custom menu functionality directly, rather than in the form of a script.

Hallo, ich habe seit einigen Tagen folgendes Problem: Das Zeichen Bedienfeld lässt sich nicht bedienen - egal wo ich klicke, es schließt sich. Ich kann weder eine andere Schrift auswählen, noch einen Schriftschnitt etc. Wenn ich den Weg über das Menü - Schrift gehe, funktioniert es. Ich habe den Arbeitsbereich schon zurückgesetzt, das hat nicht geholfen. Kennt sich hier jemand aus? Habe ich unabsichtlich etwas verstellt? Danke für die Hilfe, LG.

Salve! Estou com problema em trazer texto do word pro Indesign. O conteúdo até chega no Indesign, mas quando vou editando as caixas de texto, o arquivo fecha inesperadamente. Alguém tem alguma dica pra resolver isso?
