InDesign

Buongiorno,da poco tempo sono passato ad Indesign 2025. Per fare questo ho cambiato il vecchio e buon mac pro e passato a mac studio (il sistema operativo non consentiva l'aggiornamento di adeobe!).Speravo che in questa versione di Indesign il problema del controller dei video su pdf interattivo fosse finalmente risolto. Flash è "morto" circa 5 anni fa, è possibile che nessun altro programma / plugin non sia riuscito a rimediare a questo problema? Anche Power point riesce a inserire video con comandi / controller direttamente nelle pagine... Indesign no? I'm getting aria-labels tags (such as <div id="page6" role="doc-pagebreak" aria-label="2" epub:type="pagebreak">) added throughout my EPUBs and it seems arbitrary. Although it is easy enough to remove them using Regex, they are screwing with my footnote output on export. I have "create a link to text or spreadsheet" checked, but whenever I import a Word file, the link does not show up in InDesign under "links."Any guidance on this?

Hi, I am doing loads of tutorials, googling etc as a newbie - across LinkedIn Learning, YouTube, internet search, chatgpt etc - but I keep running into challenges where even the most basic information on how to do things is missing. Firstly, I want to import photos into Adobe Bridge but all the videos I've watched and online instructions I can find are about importing from camera. So I'm assuming if I want to upload photos from my computer,  I just copy the images from my computer and paste into an Adobe Bridge folder - but I want to ensure they remain high quality with that method. Do I just copy and paste. Also, I can't find out which main preset folder in Adobe Bridge I save the content into. My purpose of using Adobe Bridge is so that if I lose my computer or hard drive or I cancel my OneDrive subscription, all my links in InDesign won't be broken. But the options I'm being given inside Adobe Bridge are desktop, documents, downloads, one drive, this PC etc. Whic

Hello, in InDesign, how can i add divider line (maybe 2pt weight line) between rows instead of these  empty rows? i don't see the option in table options, please help. Thank you.

Hi Everyone I created a daily diary for the last financial year in InDesign (excerpt attached). Now, I need to update it for the current financial year. When entering proper names from the text to an ID Index, they enter usually as the 'John Smith' format.After changing all manually to 'Smith, John' style needed, can the Index then be re-alphabetised?

How long do I have to keep paying for InDesign that has not been working properly since the latest OS update? Crashes often upon closing a file.

I tried fixing a paragraph style from one version to another within the same document and InDesign crashes each time I get to the same point (ex. Chapter 11). I do not have this issue with any other document in InDesign but this one. Any ideas why this happening and any solutions? Thank you! 🙂 

Hello, I am using iMac, and just upgraded to the latest OS-Sequoia 15.3.2. Each time I work on an InDesign document, it just works well while working, but as soon as I save the file and close the file, InDesign gives a serious warning and and just forces me to quit. Although once I reopen InDesign and open the same file, it opens up and is just fine as I had saved it, so no corruption or damage to the file, but it's just frustrating to have to keep reopening after each file I work on.I am attaching a screen shot of the pop up warning, hope that helps.Would highly appreciate if someone can please help?!

Hello, i insert a PDF but i'm not able to resize it to fit a certain dimension. My code is:var pdf = textFrame.place(myPDFPath); textFrame.fit(FitOptions.CENTER_CONTENT); That center the pdf in the page but I can't resize it.I tried pdf.resize but without successI'm using Indesign CS5.5

Hello,  Every time we open up Indesign it crashes Teams. We have tried uninstalling each creative cloud program individually and we have narrowed it down to it just being indesign that crashes Microsoft teams. I am hoping there a update coming soon to fix  this, or if there already is, any insight would be helpful. 

I have a BIG indesign file in which CO2 is mentioned a bunch of times. The problem is that the 2 needs to be in subscript. When I use the text search function i can opt to selecte every word that is written as CO2, the only problem is that I can't change the 2 to a subscript 2, because the typing window doesn't seem to support it. Any advice on how to go about this problem? 

Dear community, I encounter huge problems with the review process. I can't update review links. As soon as I've created the link, it's working. I am working on the document. Then, as soon as I open the window to update the links and work on the comments, the window is empty again and asks me to create a (new) review link. And to make matters worse: comments from my colleagues are deleted. Anybody encountering the same issue?I would very much appreciate help. Hey there, I was wondering if anyone knows how to localize bookmarks.I am currently using a translation management platform to localize idml files which works great. Scripts allow me to re-sort any content in a semi-automated fashion.However I have not found a way to localize bookmarks of the Indesign file in a semi-automated way.Is there any solution for this instead of manually renaming all bookmarks?
