Hello InDesign community, I posted my issues on InDesign community regarding the error in fonts after exporting from InDesign that blockes the public acessibility to my work in this post click  and acrobat community in this click Unfortunately, my issues are still unresolved and was badly neglected for almost a month. So I am posting my issues here again, hoping that the support team will take my case more seriously, at best I want to get it fixed  but at least I want to know that it's fixable and it's still worth using this app or not.  Thank you in advance. 

I am creating a multi-page table that has a lot of information in some of it's cells. If I expanded the rows to show everything the table would be very long. Not what I want. I would like a way to save it in a virtual format that when you clicked on the cell, the hidden text would show up in a popup. #1) Is that possible, and how? #2) If not, are there any applications I can export the indesign table to that I can do this? 

I have a two page cover (front and back of a wrap around) where I'd like to reproduce the front page on a separate page, actively linked back to the appropriate section of the two-page. The idea being if something is updated on the two-page cover it automatically updates on the single-page as well. I feel I've seen this before, but I'm not finding the right terms to search for. Or am I just dreaming something up? I could of course, do a separate file and then link it into the other. Yet, if possible I'd minimise the amount of files drifting around to reduce confusion. I'd appreciate any hints to do this or standard practices that flow into this way of working. Hi, I am working on a book layout. I set up a book file for my individual chapters; however, in one instance, some numbers were skipped between chapters. Why might this be happening, and how can I resolve it?  

Is there a shortcut to dragging a file into a frame on my page and have that image file fit to frame, instead of actual size and I have to got click on fit to frame?

Hi everyone!I have to layout a document and I usually receive .doc and .rtf files.But this time I received a folder with 2 files, one called styles.xml and the other called content.usx.I renamed the .usx file to .xml and imported it into a new Indesign document.Now I have the Structure panel and if I drag the content to the blank page all the text is placed without problems BUT it has no character styles or paragraph styles.How can I import the styles that appear in the styles.xml file so I can assign the Tags to those styles?Thank you very much for your help!!!!

InDesign CC 2025 V20.1Windows 11 ProRAM 16 GBHDD 800 GB Free spaceWhen I open InDesign, it gets stuck on "Executing startup services" indefinitely. I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to close the program, then sign out of my account and sign back into Adobe CC before I can reopen InDesign. However, if I close the program again, I have to repeat the sign-out and sign-in process every time—it doesn’t work permanently after just one fix. 

Infuriated with 2025, objects are simply not moving up or downHave all the updates and am paying £££ to watch nothing happen  

Hello! I am hoping someone can help me please with interactive buttons! I have created a map that has different layers for each service we have in that area  - all created in Indesign. The final aim is to have an interactive PDF.  I wanted the user to be able to click a button in a key to show a layer/ particular service and unclick it to turn it off if needed.  How do I do this? I have tried creating buttons but can't see an easy way to show layers as an action?

I have created a photo book. It has a front cover, and two page spreads. The problem is auto-numbering starts on the front cover but I want it to start on the first page with content. Have speant an hour or so googling and reading threads here but not found a solution. Have tried adding a master with no styles to page #1 (front cover). Section doesn't start from it (context-click shows Start Section greyed out). I context-click page #2 and see: I start section but ID complains there is already a page number one.  I ignore it and click OK but then my pages are shuffled, and I end up with two single pages. I cannot rearrange pages: Any help much appreciated.

I recently upgraded to InDesign 2024 from an old version. Previously when you would select text by scrolling over the text, it would be smooth. Now it seems like the cursor snapps to each character and sometimes jumps one character that you didn't want to highlight. Also there is an icon that comes up in the text block.  Is there any way to revert to legacy on selecting text? Thanks

I've seen a couple posts about this error message, but none of the solutions worked for me. I'm getting this with error with all my files. All of the links will be linked, but it seems like InDesign is having an issue when it has to pull links from multiple folders within SharePoint. It's never had this issue before though. It also won't let me connect to my Creative Cloud library. I have already: - restarted my computer- uninstalled and reinstalled SharePoint and Indesign  Even my coprorate IT department is stumped. Please help! 

In the IGraphicsPort interface, there is a virtual function: virtual void setgradient(AGMGradient *agmGrad, const PMMatrix& grMatrix, const PMReal &xOrig, const PMReal &yOrig, const PMReal &len, const PMReal &ang, const PMReal &hiliteLen, const PMReal &hiliteAng) = 0; I couldn't find a precise definition of the first parameter, AGMGradient *agmGrad. I assume that this requires a pointer to some other object, but how should this object be created? What exactly needs to be passed in?

Hi all, I have new Macbook Pro and need to transfer my InDesign workspace from old Windows PC. Could you please help with how to do that? I tried exporting my workspace from PC and importing it to Macbook, but when I tried to import it into the Macbook it gave the following error:QUOTEoutdated or icompatible locale or file version detected. Hello, as mentioned, I would like to be able to insert some data from a series of photographs (about 1000) automatically, within the Indesign captions.Currently I am able to recover some data from these (color profile, size, name of the picture etc.) via text variables, while I cannot recall others (some information on the lens used, shutter speed etc.) although present in the metadata of the photographs. Furthermore, I can't change the format of the Creation date, and I can't get the shooting time (also present in the info panel).Can someone help me? Many thanks!

I would like to remove a ton of linked files and their respective frames throughout my ID file. For example:i want to remove thes linked files and the graphic frames they reside in. Possible? 

Hello,This problem is very difficult to explain from words. Hence I'm attaching my files. I'm trying to get my number list as you see in the attached pdf. I tried hours. But I'm unable to make my styles to get numbers automatically like this. I have attached working indesign file too. So if someone can tell me how to fix this indesign styles to get numbe lists same as in the pdf file, I really appreciate it.Let me try to explain the problem shortly. 1st heading is the section heading (1 Brand principles). It should go to the whole section as #1. It will go to #2 in the 2nd section. 2nd heading is Section Sub Head (1.1Logo usage). Every page have different section sub head and it should be numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Once section 2 started, Section Sub Head should be numbered 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 etc. Hope this is clear enough. Is there a way within Adobe CC to create a QR code that generates a pre-written text message sending to a pre-determined number on the phone when scanned?

I've been searching these discussions for the workaround since ADPDF9.PPD doesn't work anymore, nor is there an Adobe PDF Printer option. I have my spreads set up and am using the Print Booklet command. But the options to set the output to 11x17 are grayed out. The Printer is a Postscript File, and the PPD is Device Independent. The resulting output is half the spread (8.5 x 11) as a Postscript file, which converts to PDF when clicked on but is useless.  I'm on a deadline to create 5 translated booklets! And I don't want to manually do the printer spreads. Any help is greatly appreciated. 

I would think this would be easy to figure out, but apparently not.  I am trying to view my front and back covers as a single spread.  I have facing pages, but am unable to find a way to do this.Anyone know?  Thanks.

Hi, I'm having a problem with InDesign fonts currently and I can't seem to find a fix.FYI I have tried filling the Fonts folder in C:Program Files>Common Files>Adobe but to no avail, problem still persists. > Installed font is working and showing in the fonts menu> InDesign randomly says the font is missing after closing then reopening the file (even with 5mins apart and without having closed the software or rebooted my pc), which makes me fight with the font replacement tool to replace the missing fonts (sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't)> When exporting to PDF I get an error saying that a font is missing even though preflight is clear of errorsPreflight status: When I export: When I ignore the alert and export anyway, random textboxes get turned into a default system font, which is hard to spot in a document loaded with text and pages. Also, where I work we're using an InDesign/InCopy workflow, the same issue persists on InCopy also (but I tol

My basic paragraph has the Garamond 11 font.Suddenly the value has changed to 11(9.45)  in the window above and in the text, although both the paragraph style and the character style are still Garamond 11.What does this mean and how can I change it. All percentages seem to be 100%.I hope you can help me.MTIAMarlene 

My breif graphic design training taught me that you should not have single or double words at the end of paragraphs.  What is the "right" way to prevent these within a text box? If I have consistent text formatting throughout a document, I don't want to stretch the text boxes in inconsistent ways.  Hard return after the third last word in the sentence prior?Increase the kearning settings?Some other fancy indesign setting? Thanks!
