Hallo zusammen, ich habe folgendes Problem: Ich möchte eine Indesign-Datei, wie ich es bereits hunderte Male getan habe, in ein umfließbares ePub exportieren. Die Schriften und Glyphen sollen in der Form erhalten bleiben wie sie im Dokument angelegt sind (kursiv und Guillemets). Im November noch habe ich ein Dokument fehlerfrei exportiert. Aktuell gelingt das nicht. Habt ihr eine Idee, woran es liegen könnte? Als Reader benutze ich verschiedene, unter anderem Adobe Digital Edition. In keinem wird es wie gewünscht angezeigt.  Vielen Dank schonmal,Gitte

Hi all,  I am using Adobe InDesign 20.0 with Document Setup set to include a bleed of 0p8.504 (or 3mm). In the InDesign workspace, I can confirm that the red bleed line appears and my images extend to the bleed line.  When I export the file to PDF Print, I have the 'Use Document Bleed Settings' and 'Bleed Marks' ticked, but the resulting PDF does not include the red bleed line. What am I missing? Please see screenshots attached for reference.  I appreciate any help!  

Hi guys! I have an issue that I've been trying to fix for the last few hours but cant seem to fix... I am updating a catalogue which has to contain hyperlinks to products in a webshop. I am working off of the catalogue from last year, that already had buttons containing hyperlinks to all the specific products in the webshop.However, when I click on the button in the interactive PDF, it does not open one page, but two pages (one of them not being the linked product). It is always either product A or B who's page is additionaly opened. So e.g. when clicking product K, it opens K and A, but with producht M it opens M and B. When I click product A, A and B get opened. When I create a new button for the product and add a new hyperlink the issue dissapears. But since we have about 200 products I dont really want to create new ones for all of them.  Whats also strange: If I click on the button in the PDF it opens the two pages, if I then close and reclick the sam

Hi friends,I am encountering a couple of unusual things when I export from InDesign to PDF.#1: The letter following the drop cap disappears!Note: I did receive a warning that the glyph was not available when I used the paragraph style with the drop cap.#2: Some periods near the text-frame edge also disappear. Here is a screenshot of a page in PDF (converted to JPG):And here is a screenshot of the same page in JPG where they did not disappear.Any clues how to fix this? Thanks!!Eli

Ich habe zwei verknüpfte Textfelder, Inhalt Beispiel "Meine Woche vom 8.-14.2.2025", Textfeld 1 ist Schriftgröße 25. Ändere ich in Textfeld 1 das Datum, kann ich durch Klick auf das Rufzeichen den Text in Textfeld 2 aktualisieren, am Ende sind beide Inhalte gleich.Ich möchte aber Textfeld 2 mit kleinerer Schriftgröße 15 haben, wie kann ich es einstellen, dass nach dem Aktualisieren nur der Inhalt, nicht aber die Textgröße / Formatierung aus Textfeld 1 übernommen wird?Ich habe es schon mit "Benutzedefinierte Formatzuordnung" versucht, aber das hat nicht geklappt.Für Hilfe bin ich sehr dankbar!

Hi, what I'm trying to do is add an eventListener to a document so when I place an image in a box it will check the image name against an applied script label. What I have so far works on documents that have been saved but not on documents that haven't been. However if I open a document that has been saved and then click to the document that hasn't been saved the script then starts working. HiI have a 2 column Indd file, and I need to insert 226 pictures in succession into the document, while changing the picture size. Is there a tool/process that can automate this process - doing it manually is simply tiring. Thank youAvi

Since uploading Indesign 2025 last year it has lagged and you get the spinning beach ball.I spent over an hour changing six lines in a table this morning which would normally take 5 minutes.I quit twice after resetting the preferences and deleted and redownloaded the app. All these 'fixes' that don't fix anything, take time, are extremely frustrating, and cost me time and therefore money.Why is this taking Adobe (you) so long to sort out?There are hundreds of comments about this in the Community. Hi,Currently I am working on project where I have an arabic text flowing in its separate frame. Every sentence is ending with a number in a circle. Marked with red in attachement.In the green box below the arabic, is its translation in Urdu. It is also in its separate frame. In Urdu also every sentence is ending with a number in circle. Marked with Blue square (1st one). My job is to match the end numbers of urdu translation. I am achieving this by selection the urdu translation inside the green box and using Ctrl+Alt+\ to increase the word space. I am also using  Alt+ right or left arrow to increase and decrease the tracking. It is working but its too slow.  Is there a way to control Ctrl+Alt+\  ? I could not find any place to increase its threshold. In fact, its an undocument command. It just increases the word space. Can a script do this or change the threshold of the word space ?Thanks

I'm trying to export a very large document (2700 pages) and while the process itself is very lengthy (over an hour) it seems to be going smoothly until it reaches the last page at which point it either stops responding and i get the pinwheel or it gets stuck in the last stage. If I check the activity monitor at that precise point I see Indesign stopped responding. The entire pdf drawing process goes perfectly up to that point.  It says I have no errors and all my links are working.  I've tried every tip I could find online, it seems that nothing works. Emptying cache, saving a copy, saving as imdl, exporting in smaller chunks, uninstalling and reinstalling, reverting to an earlier version.... I had tested the export when I was 500 pages in creating my document and it worked perfectly. It took days to finalize and now that I have my 2700 pages completed this issue arises and blocks my work.  Now I find that generally the software seems to be working wo

where can I find buttons and forms?

Hello, I am trying to export a document from Indesign using standard High Quality Print setting (I have also tried Press Quality RGB) and this spread seems to lose some images and the text. The document is about 100 A4 pages with high quality graphics but nothing higher than I have exported before. All images are linked correctly and I have relinked them to be sure. All other pages in the document are exporting fine it is just this spread. I have attempted to copy across to a new document and continue to have the same issue. I am not sure if this spread is corrupt somehow but I am not sure how to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  

In Microsoft Word, when you create a mail merge, there's an option called <<next record>>. What's the equivalent of that in indesign so that I can have more than one field per page? Until now, all I have been able to accomplish was to get each text box on my page start from the beginning of my list so that they all said the same thing instead of them being a continuous thread.

For the love of god, can the AI popups please stop? Not just in InDesign, but also Illustrator, Photoshop, everything?Make AI features a dropdown menu, like everything else. If they keep getting in my way while I'm trying to work, I'm going to lose my mind. Sincerely, a longtime designer about to leave Adobe from all this nonsense

Hi I'm looking for a script that will flip all objects on all pages of the document on the unlocked layers only. I have a script that I found here that will flip only the object selected but that is very tedious (and can also be done with the transform tool)  when I'm dealing with 250+ page documents. Hello,I have a over 4000 product sku's in my catalog, I need to find a way to add URL into my indesigns file. Doing it induvially will take weeks. I have the website link and and sku listed in excel sheet. Is there a way to apply links to sku numbers automaticly?  

Whenever I try to change the default font to a different one in InDesign and click on the arrow my file just freezes and the only way to shut it down is through the task manager.

ID CS2. I'm trying to figure out how to turn off automatic text wrapping. Every time I place a graphic or draw a text frame in this particular document it automatically has a text wrap applied. I'd like to be the one who decides when I want a text wrap. Must be a setting I flipped on somewhere without meaning to.

After updating Indesign, it has lost all the preset color profiles. They are still available in Photoshop and Illustrator, but I am unable to export pdf:s from Indesign with other color profiles than the defaults that Indesign has. Also it does not load profiles even if I try to load them manually. Has anyone the same problem, and how have you handled it? I need to use uncoated for newspaper advertising, so this is really a problem.
