When exporting from InDesign 19 to PDF, the PDF file always is missing 2 specific pages. Any idea why this occurs and what can be done to include them?     <Title renamed by MOD>

I installed Indesign 2025 with MacOS 13.2.1. I can use it right after installation, but the next day when I start again, the app failed to open without any error messages. I don't know what the issue is. Now I have to uninstall and reinstall every day. It is very annoying!!     <Title renamed by MOD>

Just like the title says, I'm trying to create relative paths to an illustrator file and excel file in my template file. I'm using data merge to create a bunch of files from the template and when I the individual InDesign files, I run a script that places each of the new documents into a folder with the same name. I am then dropping the linked files into the new folders and kept the files the same name and kept the same file structure. So, if it were a relative path, it would update. But, it shows up as a missing link. After I make the files, I am running a script to open the files, update links, and export a PDF; so, manually updating the links kinda defeats the purpose.  If there's not a way to create a relative path, is there a script out there that will look for a file of the same file type and/or filename in the same folder as the document? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm working on creating resources for my coding website  and want to make them more interactive. Is it possible to add elements like hyperlinks or embedded videos in InDesign that will still function when exported as PDFs? Hi everyone. I have to create a lay out of a deck of cards. I wanted to know if it is possible to tile the front and back of the card without them being attached (so I keep the margins under control) and if it is possible to number only the cards on the right (which would be the front of the card) I attach example. I am using InDesign 2025, v20.0. When using the Find function within the Find/Change tool, I enter the search word "role" and the application consistently crashes/closes. This occurs across multiple InDesign files.      <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi there,I've seen other posts in the forum about the shift key no longer working to constrain proportions in Indesign.I'm having this problem, and I have also tried following the steps to reset Indesign's preferences (Shift+Option+Command+Control while opening Indesign) as is suggested as a fix, but the option to delete preference files is nowhere to be seen. I don't have Webroot installed on my computer. I'm on macOS, running Mojave 10.14.5, and my version of Indesign is up to date. Any help would be much appreciated as it's taking me ages to get work done without being able to constrain proportions with the shift key!

Good morning,   I am having an issue with sizing during export in InDesign, and I am not sure why this happens.   I export a file as a JPEG, and its 73mb's, so then I have to open it in Photoshop and resize it again there to get it down in size. Upon saving from Photoshop, its down to 26mb's, even though all I did in Photoshop was to open, go to Image Resize and literally not change anything, but just click "OK" and save.   Why is this happening? I have a plethora of para and char styles in several documents I am updating with a new font, but seems none of the applied styles will update (I am working on another designers files...)  How can I Apply (style), clear overrides for all? Instead of selecting each type box or type content throughout...

Hello,   Having really frustrating issues with InDesign crashing every moment. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times, even downgraded to older versions as reccomended by others. Also uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud. Im not having the same issues with other adobe sortware so im wondering if anybody is having similar issues? Hello, I have a problem with the last project in ID. The file does not open after trying to export and the message appears: The command could not be completed, a database error occurred. The file is corrupted. Error code: 6. Version 20. I uninstalled everything, reinstalled, reset the settings. I made a blind change to IDML, but every time I get a message about a database error.

I wired buttons differently for epub (object states) and PDF (show/hide) versions. Bonjour, J'ai un souci avec mes fenêtres dans IndesignJe les ai placées sur 2 colonnes à droite de mon écranLa première à gauche est réduite avec juste les icônes visibles la seconde à droite est totalement développée.Le souci est que quand je clique sur une icône de la colonne réduite l'affichage de la fenêtre est totalement décalé sur la droite est du coup je ne peux pas voir la fenêtre dans sont intégralité.Et je ne peux pas décaler la fenêtre. Voici quelques captures.Le bord droit de mes images correspond au bord de mon écran. 

Exported PDF with links are not working... when I use GO TO DESTINATION from the link in ID it works fine. But the exported PDF changes the link. It is for Amazon Vendor Central and the PDF send me the the login URL, but the GO TO from in ID send me to the page I need to go to.     <Title renamed by MOD>    

I have a TOC that does not exclude a hidden spread. When exporting, the page numbers adjust automatically (as expoected), but prior to export, when updating the TOC, the hidden spread/pages are still showing in the TOC and the pages are not renumberd as the export will produce...?   Seems to be a bug, or am I missing something?   <Title renamed by MOD>

From time to time, I use the Picker (letter I) tool to "quickly" transfer text formatting attributes such as font size and color from one group of characters to another. BUT every time I do so,  once I'm done and want to get back to the regular Text tool, to continue editing, it's a riot.Perhaps I'm missing something very obvious?Currently, once I'm done with picking and applying text attributes and want to get back to the Text tool, I first hit the Escape key which, not only gets me out of the tool and returns me to the Selection tool (Black arrow) but it also selects the text frame which isn't bad in itself. The problem is that, at this point, I have to either select the Text tool in the toolbar with the mouse or double-click the text frame wherever I want to pursue editing which is "doable", and THEN I'm back where I was, ready to continue editing text. But it is a lot of work everytime. So much so that it almost defeats the purpose of using the tool in the first place.Please t

It looks like someone got access to my manuscript, and used Auto Style without permission. Also I notice a few missing pages. Is this intentional misuse of access privileges, or merely a programming error?   The circle and line have been moved without permission on several pages.     <Title renamed by MOD>

When I generate a QR code using the link https://express.adobe.com/tools/qr-code-generatordoes that QR code work forever as long as the link still works? I am planning on using this on printed books and need to make sure the code will always work. 

I was so happy to discover the mail merge feature. I was successful in creating ID badges with staff names and photos. When recreating the design I started once again with a fresh import of same data file and then merged into multiple page document. The preview looks great, however, the end result shows a duplicate image on almost every page, followed by another image duplicated. The data source is about the 12th line of data. No idea what to do differently. I've relinked data fields and changed margins with no success.  Can't understand why the preview is perfect but the merged document is different. Please help!

I can't get Indesign on my laptop and I have no idea why. When I go to download it it says my computer is compatible with the system as well as I have all the reqirments. But when I hit install it won't let me. I have a surface pro 9 and have used Indesign (Beta) on it before. However, just today for some reason it won't let me use either versions. I have even tried to re-download the older version of Indesign (Beta) and it still won't work. I talked to Adboe tech support and he said my Ram isn't high enough. Ich habe sehr oft Anzeigefehler in InDesign mit dem Mac Studio M1 Max.In den meisten Fällen sind die Fehler so gravierend, dass man sie soforterkennt. Manchmal sind sie jedoch sehr unscheinbar und führen dannzu Verwirrung. Woran liegt das? Was kann man daran ändern?Ich musste eben InDesign neu starten, weil der Fehler nichtverschwunden ist. In der Regel kann ich den Fehler durchzoomen wieder beseitigen, bzw. durch das Switchen in den Vollbildmodus. Anzeigefehler: So sieht es normalerweise aus:
