Y You can see above that the page numbers of the chapters flow sequentially as they should, but then all of a sudden, on the actual document, the numbers go from page 74, to 69!  And it actually continues all the way to the end of the book where it starts again at 69! In the next pic you can see the pages panel that shows this jump but I cannot see how to fix it?   Can anyone help? Please?             <Title renamed by MOD>

Tengo un MacBook Pro de 14 pulgadas con el Ventura 13 y el InDesign 19.5Instalo el InDesign y funciona perfectamente.Cierro la aplicación o apago el ordenador y cuando quiero volver a usar el programa no se abre. Tengo que borrarla y volver a instalarla para que funcione.Ya he probado a borrar la aplicación, volverla a instalar, borrar el cache, etc y el problema persiste...Si estoy pagando por la aplicación, me gustaría que funcionase correctamente...Además el resto de aplicaciones del paquete de adobe funcionan bien, sólo es con esta que tengo problemas¿Qué puedo hacer para no estar continuamente borrando e instalando?Gracias

Probably a simple question but my AI-assistant cant help me and also google was not very helpfull. Maybe I do not use the right words for it (English is not my native language). I hope you understand me and can help me because the issue and the fact that I cant find the answer really annoyes me.  In indesign In view-modus Normal when I change the color of the fonts form black to white I get a sort of text marking (a white background). How can I remove this? In the preview modus the background is gone and also if I export the file to PDF. Hi All,I am creating a paragraph style for numbered headings using the Alpha (A, B, C…etc) format and when it gets to Z it moves on to doube character (AA, AB, AC… etc). My question is how to I change that format to AA, BB, CC…etc?

I am making a calendar in Indesign and have entered all the dates using a numbered list. For some reason a space appears after each number, preventing the dates from being placed as far out into the right margin of each cell as I would like (only "^#" is entered for the place of the number). Howdy! I am creating a catalog in InDesign that has pricing information and ID codes for ordering the product. This catalog will be exported as an accessible PDF. I am setting up my article tags in InDesign to define the reading order; product name, price, ID ordering code, specifications. The content is read by the accessibilty reader in the order I have defined. Good!   On most pages it read the price as a price, "One hundred forty four dollars and thirty two cents" but in a few places the reader reads as "dollar sign one hunred fourty four dot thirty two". The formatting and article tagging is the same on all pages. What causes this and is there any way to force the accessibilty reader to read this as a price.   I have another issue in that the ID code is read as one long number, not indivdual numbers. For example; 345678 is being read as "three hundred fourty five thousand six hundred seventy eight". I need for it to read as, "three four five six seven eight"   Anybo

Hi, as I am suffering the windows moving bug in Indesign every time the mac awakes and I manually need to reset Workspace I need to know if I can assign a shortcut to reset the actual workspace. I tried to do it, but the menu of 'workspaces' is not addressable in shortcut settings. When I am making a pdf I am getting a failed to export pdf error. It says that the error is on the page that is the next page that would be in the document, i.e. if the last page is 12 the issue is on 13. It does this if you add or remove pages so is not specific to a certain page number.    This is happening in all docs I have recently created but not if I try to pdf old docs. If I move the pages to a new doc it will then make a pdf, so I have been able to work around it, but I'd love to know if this is something known and if there is a way to solve it.    <Title renamed by MOD>

InDesign 19.5 crashes on opening using Mac Os Sonoma 14.6.1Went through the FAQs in Adobe and nothing helps. Unistalled the program and reinstalled with the same problem. It gets stuck during startup. Anyone got a solution to this?  

Hi!I'm working on a novel and I'm having trouble with the header image (It's for print only).  Basically what I'm trying to do is that the first page of the chapter has the blue waves on top. I put them Master Page B so when it has the specific Master Page (in this case B) are the ones that is suppose to have the wave. However, the wave design continues to the next page when it isn't suppose to (which is assign to A).   Does this mean I have put the design on regular pages instead of Master's?     <Title renamed by MOD>  

I'm using the most up to date versions of Indesign cc2018 but I can not paste any text from any other application and retain the formatting. I have the correct settings enabled within Clipboard Handling / When pasting Text and Tables from Other Applications Paste : All Information (Index Markers, Swatches, Styles, etc.)But whenever I try to paste any formatted text from any other application specifically illustrator or Photoshop the text looses all formatting. I can copy and past formatted text back and forth from Illustrator to Photoshop but indesign isnt playing ball, on top of the almost daily application crashes this is getting frustrating...any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bonjour,Apres avoir cherché je ne trouve pas de réponse à ma question...Apres avoir crée différents fichiers pour un magazine, je les réunis dans un livre pour me faire une sauvegarde post bouclage.Le probleme c'est que j'aimerai bien que ces fichiers réunis dans ce livre Indesign "de sauvegarde", soient classés par ordre croissant en fonction des folios attribués à chacun des fichiers. Savez-vous si c'est moi qui suis aveugle ou s'il existe une solution pour ce classement en fonction des folios ?Par avance merci !

Hi, When i import a pdf with corrections in an Indesign file, sometimes the corrections are not in the right place. For example see pictures right and wrong. The imported pdf correction shows text to be deleted on page 171, when in fact it should be text deleted on page 172. Right is as the pdf in acrobat shows it, wrong is as indesign shows it when pdf is imported. Also when a correction shows a space between to letters is to be added, the actual correction is shown one letter to the right. For example gohome needs to be go home, then the pdf shows a correction after the H instead of before the H.   Anyone alse experienced this?     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi there.On Ps and Ai I use the keyboard shortcuts "command+h" to hide the the guides.But it doesn't work on Id, while I go into setting keyboard shortcuts.I went on setting keyboard shortcuts (Edit > Keyboard shortcuts > View menu > Grids and guides : show guides). Here I enter the new keyboard shortcut I want (Comm+h) but it doesn't works.Instead, this shortcut "hides the application".Looks like he's like that Is it possible to change this?Thank you 🙂

Hi, I exported pdf file from indesign and same pdf file i am uploading to the wordpress based website. The file opens up with pdf with no issues but it shows ".indd" file as extension instead of ".pdf" extension.   Please help to resolve this issue.   Thanks, Jyoti Raj      <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello! I noticed that the text bounding box in Indesign's latest version is now "stretchable" when I try to adjust the box size. If you don't know what I'm talking about, basically if you try to shorten or enlarge the box to rearrange the text inside, the text inside will sometimes stretch like a vector. I know I can still do both things by adjusting the box size but I have to keep trying it out because I have no idea what are the commands or the rule. Does anybody know how to remove this feature? Or to at least tell me how it works and what keyboard commands allow me to only adjust the box size and not stretch the text inside? Thank you! 

I am trying to place a video into InDesign 19.4. I create an image box and place the mp4 or gif but it does not load. Can you walk me through it? I work with Adobe InDesign and other Adobe software, and I pay for the Adobe subscription. Why is the option that used to be there now missing?!!!! Where did the RTL (Right to Left) option go? Are you only accurate and precise when it comes to charging us at the end of the subscription period? You send thousands of notifications and emails asking us to renew our subscription, but you don't see the other messages and requests? There is no detailed information or assessment on this issue—why? You just keep saying, "It’s fixed, it’s being fixed..." I need this option: RIGHT TO LEFT.     <TItle renamed by MOD>
