Hello, I'm new. I'm trying to make a draft of a (terrible, don't look at it) graphic novel, and I'm trying to use CC to store all the images. I'm confused about whether to link to general cloud documents ("Your files") or to populate a library ("Your libraries") with all the images. <Title renamed by MOD>
Hello,I design in Brazilian Portuguese and I need that when a word is hypheneted (like twenty-one or dates like 1914-1991) it creates another - in a line break. Example: 1914-1991:The Age of Extremes: The Short Twentieth Century, 1914--1991 (London: Abacus, 1995). Austria-Hungary:which included forces from Japan, France, Germany, Italy, and Austria--Hungary. How can I automatically set that?
I'm experiencing issues with both the "Replace Text" and "Strikethrough Text" tools in InDesign Review when accessing it via Safari 18.0.1. I’m unable to select text in my online review document to use either tool, which is preventing me from making necessary changes. Everything else seems to be working fine, but these tools are unresponsive. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Could this be a bug with Safari 18.0.1, or is there a workaround that I can use to enable text selection for these tools in the review panel? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your assistance! <Title renamed by MOD>
So I'm having the worst week ever. I have a dozen ebooks that I need to make and it looks like InDesign is throwing me a curve ball... again. It's a list of errors with the code RSC-005. It doesn't matter if it's a real ebook (9781761112751.epub - Yes, there is a font issue on this one too, but it doesn't matter as readers will ignore the font anyway.) Or just a single page with lorem ipsum (Testing.epub) which I made to test whether I was the problem or InDesign was, but the results are the same. Suffice to say, it's definitely InDesign. All of a sudden every ebook I'm exporting is failing the EPUB 2.0.1 rules because of this. It's never happened before, I don't understand what this means. My older ebooks were fine. They all passed validation before, but when I try exporting them now in the current version of InDesign 19.5 they all have this issue now. I've narrowed it down to the cover images. I figured given most of the errors contain a reference

Hi, this is totally new problem, that I haven´t face before. I have created Paragraph styles as usual, and Imported the file by using "Customise style import". I want to use Minion Pro, and that is the base for all paragraph styles. But InDesign changes style always to Word document´s font, Times New roman, 12pt. If I change the Word file´s font size, it also brings the changed font size. And I have tried everything I found from here: I don´t have any Character styles created and I don´t have any Paragraph style activated before importing. <Title renamed by MOD>
I am running Mac InDesign 19.3 and Sequoia 15.0.1. Every time I export to PDF from InDesign, it says the file is corrupt. I have tried to reopen and a second time repair. In both cases, all the data I have imported and formatted disappears. Note: I have been working on the same files for years and they were created in Indesign 12.5 and Monterey 12.7.6. That is where the behavior I am describing above first happened. At that point, I talked to Adobe support and did not get a solution have reinstalling, trashing preferences, etc. They said it was a hardware issue. I took my laptop to Apple and they ran diagnostics and wiped it clean. They cold not find any issues with the hardware. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. I am way past my deadlines. <Title renamed by MOD>
-> Adobe Indesign running on: iMac 27 - 2022, Mac OS 14.6.1 / 40GB RAM Hi everyone, As the title says, no matter what I do—whether opening an existing document or creating a new file—InDesign immediately freezes. In fact, it creates the document (or opens it), but the loading cursor (spinning color ball) appears, and the application becomes unresponsive indefinitely. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program multiple times, restarted my computer several times, and even tried installing previous versions. The issue persists, and I’m out of ideas. Can anyone help? I really need to get back to work! <Title renamed by MOD>
Hello, Here are endnote 11 to 20 of my document: And when I export the document, this happens: Most of the text is gone. What is happening here? Can someone help me because I can't figure it out <TItle renamed by MOD>
For as long as I can remember, pre InDesign even, I and every designer I know sets some type and scrolls through the font list looking at the live preview on the canvas to pick fonts, compare fonts, find and match fonts, etc. Only since CC have I noticed that scrolling through my font list every 10 or 15 the list jumps me back to the top of the list making this function frustratingly impossible and killing a previously more efficient process. If this is the cost of TypeKit, get rid of it. Disabling it did not help.Does anyone know what is happening or why it is happening. i found a lot of threads for PS, IL, etc on this subject but few relevant and recent to CC threads on the subject... i need this to change AND SOON! HELP!
all my documents that I have adobe fonts lost the activation . And is taking so long /forever to activate. Anyone? <Title renamed by MOD>
Hi. Question... When I download a PDF from an InDesign document's Publish Online webpage, some of the hyperlinks in the PDF work while others don't. See attached PDF. Note: all of the hyperlinks work just fine in the online version: https://indd.adobe.com/view/1dd47208-4565-462a-ba3c-4148f780812cThoughts?
Ich habe wen ich in Indesign Fotos einen Schlagschatten geben möchte immer so Striche im Hintergrund im Schatten und ich weiß nicht wieso geschweige den wie ich sie weg bekomme?
Nearing end of a 3+ year-long endeavor constructing a new edition of a well known '50s architectural tome, now illustrated and annotated with support of the architect's son. After undergoing a file corruption issue a few months ago, the book has been deconstructed into its 40-odd individual chapters from the original one file.I haven't experience recombining from multiple files like this, as I've long worked on single-file constructions, wisely or not, never getting into ID's book feature. Overwhelmed by the dissertation-level effort invested in this over years, I must seek instruction now on how to cope with reassably from separate files. How's it done?
my indesign file is corrupted and gives error code 6. I can't open the file so I have to save it in a different version. How exactly can I solve this?
I am running a mac mini with OS Sonoma 14.7.I regularly use Publish Online. After installing InDesign 2025, I published a document in which I had drawn a vector line with the pen tool: The result was a block of colour rather than the line. Both jpg images I had placed in the document were also missing. When I resintalled InDesign 19.5, the publish online feature worked correctly (see above). Is this a known bug?
Hi, I am using the Adobe Naskh typeface for setting Arabic script in InDesign CS6 (v.8.0). I am getting instances of the dots being positioned incorrectly. This is how the script should appear... The issue can be resolved with the following: by turning off ligatures but this is NOT an acceptable solution because one of the beauties of Adobe Naskh is its use of ligatures. The position of the dots can also be changed in the language support plugin i.e. changing diacritc position from OpenType to Normal but the positioning becomes even worse! I am having problems recreating the issue and so I do not know why it is occuring. Things I have tried: retyping the text redefining the paragraph style from scratch and removing dependencies on other styles removing overrides and character styles pasting text into a new document removing Latin glyphs removing punctuation glyphs (e.g. apostrophe, quotation mark, guillmot) removing footnote ma
Assuming that I am using a reputable typeface in InDesign (i.e. one packaged with the software or from a known foundry/developer) ... why would certain OpenType features not work? For example, using Libertinus Sans, I find in one document the "OpenType All Small Caps" feature works and in another document it does not. Similarly, with Adobe Naskh (an Arabic typeface) I find that sometime the diacritics and dots are poorly positioned but in another document with seemingly the same document, para and character settings I do not get the problem. So, if I am finding certain OpenType features are not working for me...where should I look first? If this question seems too broad then it is because I am finding it difficult to recreate the problem with specific settings or a specific font. I am just asking where to continue looking in trouble shooting .... is it most likely a font problem or an InDesign problem or a mixture of the two? What could some of the mo

Buenos días, alguien sabe cómo puedo exportar un documento de Indesign (con etiquetado XBRL) a html y que conserve todos los elementos de maquetación perfectamente?
Hi, I have a InDesign table that I want to be able to clip as per the yellow highlighted bounding frame. The overset indicator on the bottom is correctly clipping the table rows, but on the column it is not. Is it possible to do so in InDesign and if yes, how do I achieve it? The use case is to print only the specific parts of the table Thanks,
I'm currently in the middle of working on a project where I am using the Share for Review feature, after updating to 20.0 the authosrs previous comments and the link to the shared file have been removed. This is not exactly convenient. <Title renamed by MOD>
I'm using a aragraph style with the Paragraph Rule Above setting. Notice on the 2nd line in the screenshot, it wraps around to a 3rd line, yet the yellow background color doesn't follow it. What do I need to do to get the yellow to wrap around? <Title renamed by MOD>
