InDesign

All of my InDesign Share for Review links have been stuck in a loop and won't open. We've been able to brute force open them by refreshing our browser a few times but even that doesn't work every time. Has anyone else been experiencing this and is there a fix?

Can someone help me with a script code? I already have the code ready and done. This code does the following: 1) It breaks the texts into lines,2)  breaks these lines into boxes, 3) applies a paragraph style to each of these boxes and 4) creates a small dash above each text box (separate).I created a dialog window (palette) so that I can choose which paragraph style to apply and whether or not I want this dash to be inserted. However, the action only runs once, because it is as if the window closed and the code did not continue. For some reason I get supplied text from clients with a lot of returns but with a space before it (per screenshot below). Is there a GREP expression that can be used to get rid of these in one go? 

Hello,The size of my InDesign window doesn't suit me. So I enlarge it, then work normally.But every time I switch to presentation mode and leave it (which is very often), the window resizes, so I have to resize it.Similarly, if I press the “+” at the top left, Indesign goes to fullscreen, but as soon as I switch to presentation mode, it resizes. How can I get Indesign to remember my window size changes (i.e. fullscreen)? I'm on macOs. Thanks     <Title renamed by MOD>

I am a begginer on working with InDesign and i am in school for it. I need to put a file into the app to work on it so i downloaded it but when i try to open the file it is all greyed out and i cant open it. I've setup paragraph styles. I have added paragraph border and paragraph shading, both with rounded corners. It all works well until the paragraph goes over more than one page. The border works fine but the shading gets cropped to a straight line and isn't rounded. Only at the end of the paragraph. Is there anything that can be done about that.Also i would like the border and shading to be within the text box. Hi, I'm currently trying to publish a short poetry book that contains small graphics and images. I keep getting errors that KDP sends back with the margins and I attempt to fix them but don't know that much about bleed and margins. Here is the specific error message from amazon, can anyone help?   Interior Your file contains insufficient bleed. See examples PDF page(s) 29. 1. Ensure the page(s) are sized correctly for bleed. Interiors with bleed should have 0.125" (3.2 mm) added to the width and 0.25" (6.4 mm) to the page height. 2. If the pages are already sized for bleed, make sure you extend any images and backgrounds that you want to reach all the way to the edge of the page at least 0.125” (3.2 mm) beyond the trim line. Why are there duplicate catalogues? There has been a lot of feedback re: the new version of InDesign, running into problems with duplicate extracted catalogues.   My original document was duplicated more than 6 times, this is an example of my simplified version. I've searched for it and suspect that it's the result of multiple text boxes that are connected, with different columns and spans.   It doesn't make sense that a different sub-column should have such a problem   My client provides table that require me to sometimes have to use a two-column layout.     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello everyone,   I'm reaching out to see if it's possible to create a script to automate a specific task. I work daily for a company whose name contains a thin space (for example: N (thin space) NAME = N NAME).   The issue is that I sometimes forget to add this space when formatting lengthy documents.   I’d like to know if it’s possible to create a script that automatically detects the company’s name (N NAME) and inserts the thin space between “N” and “NAME” whenever the name is written.   Thank you so much for your help, and have a great day!     <Title renamed by MOD>

Y You can see above that the page numbers of the chapters flow sequentially as they should, but then all of a sudden, on the actual document, the numbers go from page 74, to 69!  And it actually continues all the way to the end of the book where it starts again at 69! In the next pic you can see the pages panel that shows this jump but I cannot see how to fix it?   Can anyone help? Please?             <Title renamed by MOD>

Tengo un MacBook Pro de 14 pulgadas con el Ventura 13 y el InDesign 19.5Instalo el InDesign y funciona perfectamente.Cierro la aplicación o apago el ordenador y cuando quiero volver a usar el programa no se abre. Tengo que borrarla y volver a instalarla para que funcione.Ya he probado a borrar la aplicación, volverla a instalar, borrar el cache, etc y el problema persiste...Si estoy pagando por la aplicación, me gustaría que funcionase correctamente...Además el resto de aplicaciones del paquete de adobe funcionan bien, sólo es con esta que tengo problemas¿Qué puedo hacer para no estar continuamente borrando e instalando?Gracias

Probably a simple question but my AI-assistant cant help me and also google was not very helpfull. Maybe I do not use the right words for it (English is not my native language). I hope you understand me and can help me because the issue and the fact that I cant find the answer really annoyes me.  In indesign In view-modus Normal when I change the color of the fonts form black to white I get a sort of text marking (a white background). How can I remove this? In the preview modus the background is gone and also if I export the file to PDF.
