Lightroom Classic

I selected the Remove tool.  Selected Use Generative AI and Detect Objects.  Brushed over object to remove.  But the remove button was not active.  I had a similar issue with the landscape Mask.  What is the problem and the solution?  Creative Cloud is indicating my software is up-to-date. [Using Apple 14 inch, M1 Macbook Pro].

This has been an issue since I started using Lightroom 6-7 years ago and never really thought about if there is a way to disable this. But when transfering settings to each image, why does lightroom more often than not, rotate masks to the improper positions, making me have to adjust them almost every single photo?  The photos are from the same set and are not wildly different, so there is zero need to constantly rotate them out of place. Exact same lighting, same background, only different poses with people. Very often times even if it's nearly identicaly, but just minor differences like looking a different direction, or eyes open vs eyes close.......it will still rotate the mask out of position.    It seems to LOVE slowly but surely rotating masks that are vertical, to always point from corner to corner instead or sometimes horizontal, completely off from where it needed to be or where it was, when copying it to multiple photos.  Can literally see t

So in the last few months Lightroom has been crashing increasingly frequently on my Windows 11 system. I have tried everything that I could think of including reinstalling, cleaning up graphics drivers and reinstalling, moving cataolog to different disk, creating new catalogues, disabling GPU in Lightroom, Resetting Lightroom settings, but nothing worked.   Initially things started with LR crashing when importing relatively large number of images (from few hundred to few thousands) but lately they have very frequent, like crashing every few minutes.   The crashes happens   1. When lightroom has to build a number of thumbnails and previews. This is related to imports (though I have turned off preview generation) when thumbnails for imported images are generated, it also happnes when I navigate to a collection (smart or regular) where LR has to generate thumbnails from many folders on the disk.   2. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and provide help.  I'm guessing that my problem is a simple enough one, though I'm unable to find a resolution online. When saving a Preset in Lightroom Classic ("LrC"), as a standard the "Group" that it saves under defaults to the last one which was used (see the 1st attached screenshot).  For me, this has been the case for the last several years that I've been using LrC, and it makes sense so that when you're editing photos from an event, every time a Preset is saved you shouldn't need to reselect the same Group.  That would be such an annoying waste of time!About a month ago, I noticed that instead of this continuing to be the case where the default Group is the last one which I had selected, it has been reverting back to the original "User Presets" Group each time, including while I'm editing photos from a single event like a Wedding which I am currently editing.  I want each Preset to save in the same Group/ Folde

Hello,     1.) Lightroom 14.4 German / Camera Raw17.4   I am able to synchronise the KI Denoise over several pictures. If I  remove the Ki Denoise on several pictures I must go to each picture to unselect the Denoise button. can't import nikon .nef files in lightroom classic on my mac Chrome, Mac OS X 10.15.7 LRC version 12.2 

I'm not sure if this is user error, but for the first time tonight, after using this app for about 5 years, the LR Classic window is stuck at the full size of my screen - not exapanded with the green, double-arrow button, but just stretched out accross the whole screen - and though I can move the window around, I cannot shrink it vertically or horizontally. I both force quit and updated the app and it still reopens with the same issue. 

I am using lightroom Classic v 13.0.1 on my Mac OS and am trying to import Nikon Z8 raw files. I do so just as I did before with my Nikon D780 and the previous LrC version and it doesn't find the photos. Apparently it only creates smart profiles and thinks the images are only on the card (which they still are) even after importing. Also, I am unable to use the denoise function. What is going on?

I deleted a collection which was synced to cloud and now it's trying to sync something which doesn't exist. I've tried resetting sync data which works until I close and reopen LRc. LRc tell me to send a diagnostic report to support. I can't do that because this forum appears to be the only option and won't accept a zip file. I run Lightroom Classic on my desktop (pc) and a laptop (mac air). My primary catalog is on my desktop and the catalog for my laptop is in OneDrive. Previously I had a windows laptop with the catalog in OneDrive and was able to import the laptop catalog, from OneDrive, into the primary instance on my desktop. Now when I try to import from the laptop catalog (from mac) in OneDrive into my primary desktop (pc), I get an error that says 'Lightroom could not import this catalog because of an unknown error.' Previously when I was using a windows laptop, it worked great but now it is erroring out. Catalog runs great on the laptop, just the import is struggling. Any ideass and/or suggestions welcome.

I am using Mac, Sonoma 14.6 and Lightroom Classic 14.4 release. I recently moved my catalogue from the cloud to my hard drive to speed things up. Now I have no images and LR crashes if I hit the "Catalogue" tab in preferences. I have disabled GPU, cleared my cache and freed us masses of space on my hard drive. I am now at my wits end, I can't even try another catalogue as LR crashes if I go to that window. Any suggestions? Please keep it simple, this is not my forte. It's driving me crazy.

Hi,After having issues with all the new features of LrC v.14.4 and bringing that to the Community, some suggested me to create a new catalog and to import the previous catalog into it. After many attempts I figured out I only got a small part of the 70000+ pictures and empty collections. Result: I had to import the previous catalog twice to get all of the pictures and collections with their History. See [V. 14.4 Denoise doesn't work (error)] for more on this.Now both the new Denoise AI and Distraction Removal (Reflections/People) now work as expected..Note: the new catalog had a different name and path from the previous when I created it.I got in trouble again when I started Synchronizing LrC with the Lr ecosystem.First Lightroom Classic downloaded everything from the web, taking days (and that is not yet finished). Windows 11 and Lightroom Classic. Can someone explain this red dot. What does it signify? 

I have been working with masks the last week or so and have run into a masking issue where part of the area that is masked is corrupted and has a partial area that is distorted.  Also, when applying a mask from scratch, no slider adjustments of any kind, sometimes the masked area shows up a couple of stops up in exposure. In any case, the masked area has corrupted regions near changes in value, but also somewhat random. See attached photos for the picture worth a thousand words I can't think of right now. Lightroom has been flaky in general lately. Lightroom Classic 14.4 release  Camera Raw 17.4 

When trying to use OnOne plug in I get the following error message. double loading interface bug from versions 13.5 to 14.0.1 , when you are working with smart previews ( not raw files ) when you press next / previous photo on the keyboad the UI ( basic panel etc ) loads two time and is messing with pressing shortcuts too fast if you go to the next picture.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Periodically when I finish working in Photoshop and save the image back to LR, LR puts the new TIFF preview at the bottom of my Library (i.e. 2011). It usually gets returned to its right place chronologically when I reopen LR, but it's kind of annoying to have to scroll back up from 2011 to 2025 when I finish in Photoshop and want to move to the next image in Lightroom. Is this a bug or something I am doing wrong? There doesn't seem to be any pattern associated with this issue. Most times the image appears where it should but sometimes (once every 6-10 times) it get put at the bottom of the Library. I currently use MacOS Sonoma 14.7.6, but this has been happening for a few years.

Hi,  My lightroom has been running extremely slowly for a while now and I cannot seem to find the cause. There is a delay to almost everything I do in the software now which makes even culling a dreadful job as the time is almost doubled waiting for the library to catch up. I have divided my catalogs up into smaller sizes to try and alleviate the issue but the problem persists. If my Windows PC is struggling I would love to know what the major cause is and what I should look at to upgrade it. [Mod attached System info as text file]

I know I'm one of the fewer people who use Bridge + ACR (probably even more of a minority on this forum) but please bear with me. I'm sure I'm missing some easy shortcuts or something. Here's what I struggle with:1. In Camera Raw, I am able to crop several images at the same time identically. I am able to make other chnages over a batch of images at a time for example masking/ colors etc. In LRC I seem to need to go to each to do it. If I select 5 images and apply a crop it applies it only to one image. 2. My next qualm is, in ACR I can copy and paste settings with simple crtl+c/ ctrl+v commands. In LRC, I need to right click, develop settings, copy settings and the same process to paste. 3. In Bridge, I can edit settings under edit/ keyboard shortcuts. LRC seems to be a bit more long winded? I already tried to look for the ansers on google, chatgpt and the forums but Im sure I missed something. Would love to know what keeps you with LRC as Im sure Im missing someth

Since the last big update, lightroom changed the shortcut function for Sync Settings (⌥⌘S - for mac) from opening the sync settings dialog selection box to just syncing using your last sync settings. This might not be a negative for most users but I used that setting a lot via a button on my mouse and now there is no shortcut to access the dialog box (that I know of). I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to create a shortcut to access the sync settings dialog option box that I can use?  Really wish that instead of swapping a shortcut for a new option that LR folk would just create a new shortcut for that option, that way users can just choose either/or. I'm on 14.4Mac OS 13.5.2 Thanks!
